It’s difficult to know where to start without spoiling the experience for others!! The view from the property can only be described as WOW… it has to be seen to truly believed. You can very easily get lost in it and then suddenly find that three hours have gone by!!! It doesn’t really matter what the rest of the property is like… but it is well presented with everything you could possibly need during your stay. The beds are very comfortable and the bedrooms also have lovely views. There are grounds to sit in with outdoor furniture. Martin is a helpful, friendly and kind host. We wholeheartedly recommend this property. Now then, back to looking at our photos of that view!!!!
Great stay and great place to explore the south-west of Ireland. Very calm location with deers, sheep in the garden and with a stunning view from the living room on the Kenmare Bay.

We enjoyed our stay despite rainy weather. Be ready for a challenging road to the house. Host helped us when the gas crisis came around and gas stations had no petrol. We would have enjoyed it even more if we could have used the room with the view more. But all in all we had a good time.
We had a great week. The house is in beautiful nature. The view of the livingroom is stunning.
Kenmare is a cute town and a perfect base to see many places.
The house is big enough for a family with teenagers who need their space.
We had a wonderful stay in this lovely spacious and comfortable house with the most spectacular views. I knew to expect great views from the photos and reviews but it is even more amazing in real life. We just stared out the window for the first few hours (lol), looking across the bay at the mountains stretching out for miles and watching the little birds fly up the window. Martin was a great host right from our initial communication and he gave us lots of tips, local knowledge and places to visit that we might not have found in a guide book. We had 2 teenagers who enjoyed the fact that there was lots of space and different rooms to relax in. One of the boys also enjoyed the football pitch and climbing/exploring the mountain to the back of the house. The house is well equipped and we liked the clarity around recycling and the simple processes in place. The beds were clean and comfortable and it was nice to light the fire on some of the cooler nights we had. The lane up to the house is a journey in itself - but a wonderful journey and you do get used to it - you do also get rewarded when you spot a family of deer or a bird of prey and you can stop to buy fresh eggs from the honesty box on the way up. It really is a wonderful setting and if you enjoy nature and solitude and don't mind being a bit remote this is the place for you. We would love to return, and our dog would too - very dog friendly!

We were greeted by an awful smell of drains. Martin went and bought some plug in air fresheners which masked the smell but certainly didn’t cure it. The view is spectacular and having sheep and deer in the garden was wonderful but that is about the end of the positives. There is no maintenance done to the house and it isn’t very inviting at all. It needs a good clean, we had just three dinner plates in the cupboard in a house that sleeps six! The baking trays were disgusting and the frying pans had loose handles. Martin did buy two new ones and provided more plates. There is an old wooden toilet seat in the bathroom and an odd wooden mat. One of the windows are badly blown, the ceilings have got damp stains and one of the pictures has dropped out of its surround. I don’t think they look at the place any more, they can’t do or they wouldn’t present the house like it. It is the most expensive house we’ve ever rented and by far the worst. I wouldn’t recommend this house to anyone.

Im sorry about the sheep but they break out of their farm and walk on to the property. They are not mine and are not supposed to be grazing there. It's a nuisance but part of rural Ireland im afraid, not much can be done to address it. They do damage to my garden and upsets me as well.
Some things will updated soon like the kitchen. Also the damage to the hallway ceiling will be addressed. But it will be after this season. Know this is no good to you, but everything is functioning as it should. I'm glad it didn't impact the overall experience. Greetings Martin

A recommander chaudement.
Stunning views
House very tidy
Everything you need in it
Very friendly helpful family
Absolutely recommend
But not if u want to stroll to local pub
Definitely need a car
But wow that view
Man hat alles was man braucht.
