About this property

This beautiful and spacious apartment in central Barcelona has been recently renovated. It is located just two minutes walk from Placa Universitat - the beginning of the amazing Cuitat Vella - the oldest part of central Barcelona. The apartment is situated close to the University, Las Ramblas and Placa Cataluña. It is easily accessible from the airport with a short bus or taxi ride. The surrounding streets are full of cafés restaurants and delicatessens brimming with traditional Barcelona fare.

This is a very spacious apartment offering high quality accommodation in smart surroundings. Located 2 floors up, with access via elevator, the apartment is bright and surprisingly tranquil.

The large living area has two large and comfortable sofas, a coffee table and two smart sideboards. There is a large flat screen LED TV with full cable service, DVD player, free WIFI ADSL internet connection and Hi Fi. There are also free national calls from the telephone in the apartment. Towards the rear is a smart glass dinning table with seating for six.

The master bedroom is extremely spacious with a large double bed, bedside tables and a huge wardrobe. The bedroom has a very smart en suite with a luxurious spar bath, WC and hand basin. There is also a cot and baby's high chair available at no extra cost. It also has access to a balcony.

The second bedroom has a double bed, bedside tables with lamps and a wardrobe. It also has access to a balcony.

The third bedroom is a twin room with two beds, bedside table, lamps and a wardrobe. It also has access to a balcony.

There is a second smart bathroom with shower, WC and hand basin.

The kitchen is sleek and modern and is fully equipped with a large oven, ceramic hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, toaster, juicer, coffee maker and kettle. There are plenty of pots, pans, glasses, crockery and cutlery for comfortable self catering. There is also a washing machine and dryer in the apartment.

With central heating and air conditioning through out plus a superb location, this is a great choice all year round.

Weekend with friends and daughters

We had a fabulous weekend in this beautiful city. The apartment exceeded our expectations- plenty of space for us to all relax after a day’s sightseeing. The location was excellent too- we walked everywhere! Would definitely recommend!

Lovely Apartment in Excellent Location

A lovely and spacious apartment in a central location really close to a good selection of bars and restaurants. The apartment was clean with a large living space and master bedroom with en-suite. The apartment and kitchen were well equipped with everything you could need. The apartment was warm although we did have to top up the water in the boiler on two occasions but it was a simple process. The location was perfect for us as only a 5 minute walk to La Ramblas and Placa de Catalunya where you can pick up the tour buses for the city. All in all a thoroughly enjoyable stay in a lovely apartment and location. Would definitely recommend and would definitely return.

Good location poor apartment

Having read your description and glowing reviews we didn’t hesitate to book this apartment. Your description of ‘luxurious’ is wrong, misleading and most likely contravenes trading standards. The stairwell is delapidated with plaster falling off the walls. The apartment lighting is poor, bathroom and kitchen sinks are all without plugs, all bedding was worn and of poor quality, en suite bathroom - very unpleasant to use where both shower and basin leaks, ironing board legs were being held together with parcel tape, kettle did not work properly (we purchased our own), bedroom radiator was falling off the wall. Overall the apartment is in need of a major refurbishment. Needless to say I will not be using VRBO again as I could not trust the grading and reviews.

Brilliant!

Lovely apartment, very spacious, well equipped. The neighbourhood is lovely, lots of great bars and restaurants on the doorstep. We managed to get the key stuck in the lock on the first night! Our contact, Matías, called out a 24 hour locksmith and all was resolved within a couple of hours at no expense to us. I would highly recommend this apartment.
