About the host
Hosted by Brigid Kernahan Gerard

We are East coast transplants who fell in love with and moved to the PNW 35 years ago and raised our four children here on our one acre urban farm across the street from the church where we were married 32 years ago. Love the slow life of urban farming, handwork, books and cooking. Nathaniel teaches exercise classes to the elderly and Brigid works at all the responsibilities of an urban farm with bees, chickens and gardens. Check out the link to our website Hutch and Coop Urban Farm;
Why they chose this property
Charming, quiet and very private oasis from the city hustle and bustle with lots of walking trails close by and a full kitchen to prepare the plethora of locally grown organic ingredients readily available at farmers markets and our own New Seasons Market. Also close to so much that Portland has to offer in terms of world class cuisine and artful Entertainment. Portland is an incredibly inspiring city and the max train to downtown is a 5 minute drive from our home.
What makes this property unique
Farm atmosphere and lots of native cedars. Patio is surrounded by a chicken run so you can enjoy their antics over morning coffee or a glass of wine..Close to all the inspiration of the city but feels like an oasis from the hustle and bustle.
