An authentic "Homosassa Riverfront Retreat", ready for you, friends and family to enjoy. Private Community Boat Ramp included! No Pets allowed!

Our "5 Star" guest rated 3BR/2BA home is centrally located near the Homosassa Springs for manatee viewing and the Gulf for secluded beaches, great fishing and catching scallops. Deep water dock directly on the Homosassa River in a No Wake zone. Also it is located 12 miles from World Woods Golf Club, Florida’s only 5 star public course.

Look on the map and see the short easy walk from the home to waterfront restaurants and Tiki-bars. Forget something? Take a quick trip, walk or bike ride down the street, buy a gallon of milk, a bottle of wine, groceries, beer and more.

Explore the town of Homosassa with a boat ride, paddle or scenic drive to local restaurants, stores, shopping areas and attractions. Or choose instead to go off the beaten path and find your own secluded waterways. The special places nearby, where a mother manatee swims with her calf in clear waters full of fish. Places like the backyard deck where dolphin swim, manatee visit and friendly birds fly and visit each day. You'll be in the middle of everything you want and perfectly far enough away from it all.

The residence is fully furnished in every way. Comfortable beds sleep 6 adults or children. Cook your meals in the fully equipped kitchen or walk outside to one of the deck-side grills. Free cable television and free wireless Internet is included. Enjoy the screened outdoor Lanai or relax on the large waterside deck. Save your vacation money using the (included) two tandem kayaks. All available for your free use as our guests, with helmets and lot's of gear and extra's for water play or a fun trip to the nearby springs.

Have a rainy Florida day? Relax and enjoy yourself under the cover of the screened Lanai.

Boaters will love the new deep water 28' dock plus 59' more feet of "no-wake" seawall space and our nearby private Community Boat Ramp. A boat trailer can be parked onsite. Your Boat, kayaks, canoes and jet skis can be left ready to go and secured on the many dock areas. Walk out back and swim with the manatee or jump into your boat, kayaks or canoe, the large double waterfront lot provides over 100' of docking options with cleats.

The deck area is large and within arm's reach of the Manatees, Dolphins, River Otters and Fish. Watch and enjoy the local wildlife or catch fish and blue crabs right here. We include fishing rods, tackle and crab traps for your use. The sink located on the Deck will help you clean your fish & scallops, (plus keep your hands clean).

Just leave it clean like you found it. Our cleaners will wash the towels and sheets plus remake the beds.

The location of this house could not have been better. It was a joy to wake up each morning and look out over the river. The weather was cold so we didn’t enjoy the kayaks. The house was well equipped and check in was very easy

This is just the BEST place! Communication with the host is excellent. The house is equipped with everything you could need. The location is perfect. Beautiful view, we loved the screened porch, fished everyday, caught some kind of snapper, catfish, Jack Crevalle, even caught a small stingray. Saw Dolphin twice. Only negative I would say is the couches were very short, and the queen mattress in the guest room not very comfortble. Overall great stay and would definitely go back. I asked a lot of questions to the owners, and they always gave a prompt reply.

The view, porch & space are great! The birds were fun and we did see a dolphin at the deck.The sunrises were were gorgeous! The negatives were that the place needs a spring cleaning as there was lots of dust, especially on the curtains and window sills. The sofas are shorter than normal and the window chairs have seen better days. We enjoyed the stay in spite of the those things. Swinging on the porch, watching the river was very peaceful.

We had an excellent trip at Ray and Barb's riverfront home. From the amazing river views where we saw manatee, turtles, fish, and dolphins, plus the numerous birds who visit frequently, to the fantastic location near several restaurants (a few within walking distance), quick drive to Crystal River to swim with the manatees, and short drive to the Wildlife Park, this property was exactly what we were looking for. The river was a bit too chilly for swimming in December but we still enjoyed sitting on the dock just watching the boats go by and sitting in the lanai playing card games. Clean accomodations for our group of 4. The neighborhood is quiet and friendly. We didn't cook with the exception of some quick and easy breakfast foods like bagels and toast, but the kitchen appeared to be well stocked. They have kayaks and what looked like some water toys and safety equipment as well. We would love to come again for scallop season and maybe can enjoy the river a bit more. Thank you!!

The stay was great. Two grands ages 10 and 12 crabbed, fished, scalloped and kayaked. Rained every day but sitting on lanai was peaceful. Kitchen was more than adequate. Forget watching weeknight tv…never got networks. Restaurants in area were outstanding. Will return in future years.

Waterfront getaway

Four of us stayed for a weekend getaway to experience Florida’s natural beauty. We enjoyed views from the house and dock and even watched a summer storm roll in from the safety of the covered porch. We are a friendly couple, two regular and down-to-earth people who have been in and around Florida for over 40 years, then we discovered Homosassa and started vacationing here many years ago. We've always had a lot of friends in the area and have made many more. It's a very friendly place.

Ray is retired from both the US military and a State law enforcement agency. Barb works for the Federal government at a local base. We have 2 children (Ryan and Sarah) plus a grand-daughter (Jayda) who all love it here. In our travels, we rented in various locations in the Homosassa area before finding and buying in this perfect location. Read the reviews to see why our family, friends and all of our vacation rental guests now love this home as much as we do.

Why they chose this property

It's pretty simple really, the town of Homosassa is small and still has "Old Florida Charm", the Homosassa Spring and it's river attracts incredible amounts of wildlife you won't find anywhere else. The best place we found to enjoy Homosassa is in our neighborhood. We literally waited for years to find and buy this home. It's large, comfortable and very clean on a double riverfront lot. This gives the home and deck area, spectacular views that just can't be found on typical riverfront or canal lots. The river narrows just enough here, to channel the fish, manatee and dolphins to mostly swim right in front of our dock and deck area. The perfect place for relaxing, viewing and fishing. Add-in the convenience of a short walk or drive to fun places to eat and drink and you see why, we and our guests just love this place.


Here, you watch sunrises & sunsets floating on the clouds, filled with birds, boats, tree's, dolphin and visiting manatee, each and every day.

What makes this property unique

The very first time we visited here, we knew this was a very special home. It’s peaceful, calm and welcoming, the kind of place where you can leave the world behind and unwind. Relax in the privacy of the deck area with an ice cold drink or a bottle of wine. Cook a tasty meal on the grill or cool yourself just a few feet away in the spring-fed river. Relax in a floating lounge chair or jump into your Boat, Kayaks or Canoe and explore the area on a nice sunny day. There are many options here that everyone loves...


Close your eyes and you feel the cool river breezes coming off of the water. Open them and watch dolphins, manatee, otters and fish swim by. If you look up, there are birds in the sky above. Listen, and you can often hear the Manatee and Dolphin, their tails gently splashing and the snorts they make, as they surface while they swim by you on the waterside deck.
