Great place

Not sure if the people above us were visiting as well or owners, they were super loud during the night and early morning. Other than that, this was a GREAT place to stay and perfect access to whatever you want to do. I suggest you go eat at least once at Camille’s!!! That place is fantastic!

Beach Gem is Right!

Everything about the Beach Gem condo was fantastic! The two minor issues we noticed right away were taken care of immediately by our gracious host, Angela. The king bed is super comfy and the kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to prepare our meals. My husband and I will definitely be staying in the Beach Gem at Caribbean Dunes again!

This was a fantastic place to stay. Beautiful little place to hang your hat, eat in, watch a movie, read and comfortable master bedroom. You can see the beach from the location and just a hope, skip and jump to that beach. We absolutely loved it ... highly recommend. A downer is you can not check in until 4PM on the day you are paying for and have to check out by 9AM on the day you leave. Really cuts into your vacation time.

Great location.

Wonderful condo very close to the beach. In a great location. Condo was very clean and the instant check in was very convenient. We were able to walk and get coffee from a great little cafe just a few hundred feet away. It was great being able to look out the back door and seeing what flags were flying for the water conditions each morning. Would definitely stay here again.

Spring Break 2025

We have stayed in Destin the last 4 years. The location of this condo is in a great spot. Right across the street from the beach, a park a couple blocks away, pool and hot tub onsite, and in a family friendly area. The condo was clean with laundry available in the unit. There were a couple issues but none of those were concerns. The property manager fixed those issues and was prompt when I messaged or called. We will definitely consider this on our next stay in Destin.

Great place across from the beach access

The condo was clean and comfortable. Great space to relax inside and outside (had a nice table and chairs facing beach side). Location is excellent with a great coffee and sandwich shop a block away. My only suggestion would be to have shampoo, conditioner and soap available to guests. Living room tv was hard to figure out (bedroom tv was easy). Overall, a great stay!

We stayed at this condo for a wedding and had a great experience overall! The space was very clean, and communication with the host was smooth and straightforward. The location was convenient, and the bed was super comfortable. The pool area was also well-maintained and inviting.A few helpful notes for future guests:If you’re planning to check in early, be aware there’s an additional fee. Also, the condo provides a starter supply of essentials like toilet paper and paper towels—enough for about a day. You’ll want to bring extras along with items like trash bags, coffee filters, and seasonings. This isn’t a complaint, just something that’s good to know in advance so you can be better prepared.We would absolutely stay here again!

Everything was great but the cleaning person did not put dishes up from dish washer . Thought condo was missing alot of things till the day we left and found the clean stuff in the dish washer. Soooo please check the dish washer

Great location!

The unit was nicely decorated and clean upon arrival. Angela honored our check-in request a little early, which was great. The location can't be beaten, and the beach access is across the street. I gave four stars instead of 5 because the living room queen "sleeper" was a queen blow-up mattress. My 13-year-old slept on it but was uncomfortable, and the VRBO description is misleading. There is no way two people could fit on the queen blow-up, not to mention the inconvenience of blowing it up and down every day/night. There was also a lot of contradictory information between the VRBO site, the framed Wi-Fi info, and the unit manual. Such as check-out time and, the pool code never worked for us; luckily, one of the neighbors let us use theirs, which was very kind. Communication with Angela was excellent up front but dwindled when I asked about the queen sleeper issue. She was still nice over text but the response time dropped for sure. Overall, we made the best of it and it was an excellent stay outside the communication and misleading description.

Be aware! False advertisement!

Where do I even start? First of all we were never given a unit number so we had to pull up the pictures and figure out what door to enter the code in based off of the patio furniture. Upon entering we spent 10 min looking for the 2nd bedroom which it is listed as. After calling the property manager she assured me it was has never been advertised as a 2 bedroom....she couldn't be more wrong. This condo needs a major cleaning! There was so much hair that I think I could have made a wig. The dust is so thick on the light fixtures that I doubt it will come off. I hope the owner of this unit reads this and takes over the property because it is not being taken care of. I will be contacting VRBO for a refund on the falsely advertised 2 bedroom.

Wonderful location!

I will break down why I provided the ratings I did for each subsection, as well as provide some recommendations based on where we went while on our trip. First off, the booking process could not have went any smoother. I loved the instant confirmation! It definitely helped to mitigate the process of having to go back & forth with an owner. Prior to our stay, I did have a bit of trouble getting in touch with the contact for the property, but once I was in touch, she was very helpful! The check-in process was also very streamlined. I enjoyed that we didn’t have to pick up a key, or carry a key around with us during our trip. We did have some trouble with the back door, though. We would put in the code, but the door would feel as though it was jammed, and wouldn’t open, so we solely used the front door. Not a major inconvenience! The property provided everything listed - easy beach access, parking, etc., except the 2 times we tried to access the pool the code wouldn’t work & it was closed for maintenance. This was a little inconveniencing. JUST A HEADS UP - There are no beach towels (which I inquired about ahead of time), there were not a lot of towels (especially for the 6 people the property is able to sleep), nor were there any laundry detergent to wash linens. Also, most of the beaches close to the access point are private, but if you go down to the left a little, there is a public area, as well as a rental companies that you can rent chairs & umbrellas through. Recommendations - We thoroughly enjoyed McGuire’s for dinner, Harry T’s for brunch & driving down the 30A scenic highway to the Seaside/Rosemary Beach area. Overall, you will have a wonderful time during your stay!

Great condo for our family of five, with one HUGE safety issue

Cute condo that worked great for our family of five, almost... The location was great, the agent super helpful, and the condo almost perfect. However, we nearly had a life changing event happen because of a rather large safety issue with the lock mechanism on the front door. I stayed with my wife, 5yo, 3yo, and 1yo. Our problem occurred becuase the front door, whether locked or unlocked, can always be opened from the inside. There was no deadbolt, latch, or secondary system to make sure it was opened from the inside. My 1yo was able to open the door and get a considerable walk down the sidewalk before we realized. This would have likely been a 4.5/5 star review if not for this...

I like the house a everything but if you walking to the beach the small space you are allows to be is very full and all around is private property If you think you rent for no have to drive to be in the beach forget is almost impossible be in the beach near that house
