Perfect Good Harbor Beach vacation home for large and/or extended family getaway

1st FL common kitchen, living room, dining room, full bath and sun room with pull out couch. First FL in-law apartment with queen BR, full bath and kitchenette has optional separate entrance. 2nd FL 3 queen BR's, two with private bath. 4th BR King/two twins shares bath with 3rd queen BR. All 2nd FL bedrooms have outdoor decks. 1st FL front & back decks. 3 picnic tables in yard. Parking for 12. There is a separate third floor apartment available for an additional fee which adds a queen bedroom, a queen sleep sofa, two twin beds, a full bath and kitchenette. The third floor is only available to parties renting the house so if you do not elect to rent the thirs floor, no one will be in it during your stay.

This was the perfect property for our family trip to my daughter’s wedding at Hammond Castle in Gloucester. Phyllis was a gracious host who made the experience extra special. She made sure to greet us and show us around this special property. The location and views are outstanding. There is plenty of space for family and friends to gather both inside and out. The cherry on top is the proximity to the beach.

One of the shortest walks to Good Harbor Beach

Just came home from our third year at the Lucky Sands Beach House (and booked our reservation for the fourth year while on the way home!) Plenty of room, very good beds, three great bathrooms plus an outdoor shower, plenty of parking in a great location; everything our extended family looks for.

Great place for a big group!

The house was great! It’s an old house so there’s tons of cool nooks and crannies- lots of character! The access to the beach was an amazing bonus! The host was very accommodating to all of our needs. Really great experience. We will book this house again when we come to town.

Perfect beach house!

Awesome!. Plenty of space for a family gathering. My husband recently passed and it was a great place to hold his celebration of life. He loved Gloucester and we spent many summers together with family there. Lots of parking space and oh so close to the beach we love. . .

Comfortable old cared for home in 5 star location

It was 4 fabulous days in the most amazing location perhaps I have ever stayed. It was warm and comfortable and well cared for despite its age. It is a perfect spot for all ages with the most incredible beach a block away. There was everything available you could want and the property manager, Phyllis, was always available if you needed her and close by. I am hoping to go back soon!

Excellent location! Perfect for family!

Couldn’t say enough good things about our stay. Phyllis met us and showed us around, we had her cell for anything we might need. The house is perfect for a large family, with lots of beds and baths. There is plenty of outdoor space to enjoy the views or just sit alone with a book. Just grab a towel and chair to sit on the beach! We will definitely be back!

A restful week at the beach

This was our second year. We felt at home, in a quiet neighborhood. The home is very convenient to the beach and shopping. There is plenty of room for both people and cars. We especially took advantage of the porches and decks for reading and entertaining. We will be back again.

One week stay late July/early August

Our large family thoroughly enjoyed our family reunion together. Location next to Good Harbor Beach is perfect. The house is ideal for large families. We had eight adults and seven grandchildren. It was a blast! Some of the amenities in the home are a bit dated, but that is part of the fun. We would highly recommend this home.

This house has been just what our family needs to vacation together. There are plenty of spaces to sleep the extended family and still have space to gather or get away from each other. The location next to the beach is perfect. Our teens love the independence of going to the beach or walking just up the road for ice cream. Phyllis has been helpful in so many ways. We have stayed here 4 times and will undoubtedly plan another stay in the future.

Family Memory Maker!

A dream property in the perfect location! We had a crew of our grandkids ages 4 to 13, our adult kids and their spouses, and family friends enjoying this well stocked, home with several large gathering areas and we had plenty of room. The back deck was the perfect location for large family gatherings as we watched the changing of the tide. Phyllis gave a great tour when we arrived and was so helpful with any questions we had. We will be back next year!

Perfect Gem

Salem girls Trip 2023! This house couldn’t have been any more perfect for my group of girls. It was spacious enough to accommodate 15 women. It was right on the beach. Sunrises and sunsets were beautiful. Train station, not far from the house to take the train into Salem. Quiet neighborhood. Cute town to explore. Phyllis who manages the home was absolutely adorable. Easy to talk to, quick to respond, and very helpful about the area. Loved our time in Gloucester, Salem, and this beautiful home. We all would love to back again.

Perfect for our family

We have been coming here since 2016. Our family loves staying at this beach rental because it is large enough to sleep 12 people or more; Good Harbor beach is great for families; the house has an excellent view of the marshes, a small river, the ocean and the beach; and it is only a 5 minute walk to the beach. I particularly like that it is equipped with beach chairs and toys; has a large dining room table; and has lots of seating; and the kitchen has what it needs. We are careful people but I still appreciate that nothing at the house is too fragile or "precious." I can relax and enjoy myself and not worry much about what the kids are doing. The hostess is helpful and answers questions quickly.

Perfect

This was a perfect all-around vacation home for our family of sixteen. We used the third-floor apartment which was an added benefit (could have managed without but we wanted extra space). The location is a definite plus - beautiful views of the tidal creek and the ocean, an easy five-minute walk from the front door to the beach. The amenities were above and beyond - everything for the beach and the kitchen you could possibly need, plenty of towels and washcloths, beach towels, blankets, pots, pans, dishes, silverware, full laundry, gas grill, etc., The host made us feel right at home - she met us upon arrival and gave us a tour of the house which was very much appreciated! We are an extended family of 16 with four children ages 7 - 12, two seniors, and an age range mixture of 10 adults. Everyone had a great time - we highly recommend this home!

Absolutely Wonderful!

We all felt right at home the moment we walked through the door! Everything was just perfect for our purpose in coming together -- spacious, lots of places to hang out in small groups, all together or solo. It is a 2 minute walk to the beach, 5-minute drive to Stop and Shop and maybe 10 minute drive to one of our favorite restaurants -- Seaport Grille. We also want to give a shout out to the Azorean Restaurant & Bar from where we ordered a delicious meal for our main event that we enjoyed around the dining room table that accommodated our entire group. The most wonderful feature of the beach house is that there are magnificent views of the sunrise and sunset from each level. Our host, Phyllis, is quite attentive and gracious. We had a grand time and are planning our next trip to this wonderful Good Harbor Beach house. That house cuddled us and gave us big hugs the entire weekend we were there! Love it! Thank you so much!

We didn't want to leave!

This house is fabulous! It was large enough that those in my family not in the area could stay together to celebrate a special birthday event. My group of 12 ranged from ages 18 to 50+, so the back sunroom turned into the younger-group’s room while the adults visited in the front living room during downtime. Everyone commented on how comfortable the beds are, and the seating in the living room is comfortable with plenty of seating. We especially loved the window seats and all those easy access porches. Good Harbor is our favorite beach and to be able to wake up to see and hear the beach and marshes from all bedrooms with so many porches was lovely, and a walk around the beach and backshore each day was perfect. We also walked the quick walk to Charlie’s Place for breakfast. (I’ve been going to Charlie’s Place for years when I visit the area, and lunch and dinner are also good – lobster roll - yum ). Phyllis who showed us the house was sincere with her offer for us to call her with any need, but the house, and especially the kitchen, is so well equipped there was no need. I will most definitely come back to this house, but I have a funny feeling I’ll have to plan well and look long-term as this house will book fast. I’m so pleased it was available for this family event as it was perfect!

Family Vacation July 1-8, 2023

If the walls of this house could talk, it would tell you of the wonderful vacation stay we had at this location in Gloucester. The house is in a unique location that allows you to watch the tide come in and out and it has a beautiful view of the beach. Our family of eight had plenty of room, the kitchen is large and had everything we needed. Also, everything we needed to enjoy the beach was available: toys, towels, beach chairs, umbrella, etc. To get to the beach is a very short, easy walk. We appreciated the grill for our July 4th cook out and the washer and dryer located in the basement. We were happy to have an area that recycles the usual materials. The porches offer unique views and warm summer breezes. Phyllis met us upon our arrival and gave us a walk through the house. This was very helpful in knowing where things were located and what was expected of us as guests. Groceries stores are very close as are the sights and sounds of downtown Gloucester. Our family would definitely stay here again if visiting the area. I would like to point out that the third floor was not available to us, due to the size of our family. We were aware of this ahead of time and we didn't have a need for that extra area. The house is over a hundred years old. A beautiful place to stay while in Gloucester.

Halloween 2022

The home is older (century home) but in great shape. Plenty of room for lots of people. Were met by the owners mom and gave a great walk thru. Gave advice on getting to Salem with all of the traffic and people. Overall a wonderful time and experience. The views form the decks at this place are simply amazing!! Would stay again and highly recommended.

The second floor with 4 bedrooms was updated and nice. First floor needs updating. The furniture is worn out and not comfortable. The third floor should not be rented as is.
