The house was clean and comfortable. Very lovely and better than the description. It had all of the amenities. In addition, it was convenient to the RI beaches and restaurants. I would definitely recommend it.
My wife daughter and I wanted a long weekend away and this was the perfect spot. 5 minutes to town and 15 minutes to the beach. The house was very clean and up to date. No complaints.
Clean, new accommodations. Close to the marina waterfront and a small park/nature preserve. A few miles from downtown. We loved our dinner at Owl and Dove. Bunk beds in one bedroom are limited to kids under 100 lbs on the top bunk and 120 lbs on the bottom bunk.
We appreciated how clean and well equipped this home was. The kitchen has everything you could possibly need if you choose to eat in but there are some great local restaurant choices as well. A short 15-20 minute drive to several beach options made the location very convenient. Great living room space as well as screened room for fresh-air meals without bugs! Definitely look forward to returning.
Great, adorable house for family visitors. Perfect location!!

Come Clean, Saul
This is a clean, nicely furnished house in a residential area. However, we would knock off three stars in rating it - One for sleight-of-hand sales, one for cost and one for the bare-bones amenities.
First, Saul the owner, never claims clearly that the house is on the water. But his VRBO listing displays a sign (Stonington Dockominiums), lists “the river“ as an amenity, and winds up with a shoreline photo captioned, “the water calls”!
If so, it will really have to yell. Fact is, the house is on a hill three football fields from the marina and river. The property has no river access. The Stonington Dockominium boat club owns the waterfront. When we ventured onto their docks, we were shooed away in the name of “liability.“
If you are enticed by the rental rate advertised, be aware of the extras that will pile up. VRBO won't lt revierers cite specific prices, so I can only say that after we clicked on the RESERVE button, Saul added a "host fee", "service fee," cleaning charge, and something for "damage" that one must no matter what. Add in taxes and what you pay is a waterfront rate for a nice little house way up on a street corner.
The third star comes off for failing to provide amenities one can expect for this much money. .Examples: TV reception beyond the usual free networks, shampoo, conditioner, and a hair dryer. “Someone stole the hairdryer,” said Ed, the neighbor who let us in. One wonders if it was because they'd aleady paid a "damage fee" and decided to get even.
We almost deducted a fourth star for what one could call Miscellaneous Umbrage. To wit: printed instructions saying that, despite paying a hefty sum for cleaning, you must strip the beds, dispose of all trash and leave everything as found lest you Incur “additional charges.“
We hope others find this useful. You, too, Saul.

Hi Jim, thank you for your review. We wanted to pass along the following feedback from the homeowners: "We are sorry to hear you were disappointed with your stay.
-We in no way want to mislead our guests and have worked with Evolve to make it as accurate as possible. Description of the house, surroundings, and photos, were entirely entrusted to Evolve and Evolve's photographer. Guests are able to walk throughout the property of 1.3 acres which is adjacent to a forest preserve on one side, and ends at the docks adjacent to the marina. Our property is indeed "3 football fields long" of lawn, ending at the marina. Guests are able to take walks there.
-We offered to bring you a hairdryer right away, but unfortunately you refused.
-The house is completely furnished with a Keurig coffee machine and coffee pods, books, Wi-fi, TV, central air, central heat, beach chairs, beach towels, umbrellas, games, outdoor gas grill, 4-season heated porch, fully-equipped kitchen, washer, dryer, etc., and stunning views, including deer, and turkey flocks passing by the property daily as it is adjacent to a forest preserve on one side and docks/dockominium on the other side (I own 2 of these boat slips).
-The caretaker is next door and is available 24/7 for anything you may need.
-The fees are not added by us, but are determined by Evolve and the booking sites (e.g. cleaning fees, booking fees...which we do not receive). Everything is done following Evolve's guidelines.
-Also following Evolve's guidelines, the guests are asked to strip the beds and empty the trash (put it in the bin outside). Our requests are standard for the rental industry, and the cleaning fee pays for the deep cleaning and sanitation in preparation for each guest. All of the fees are broken down clearly before the reservation is confirmed.
You let us know upon checkout that "It was a perfect place for us to stay for the weekend...we had a fantastic time," so we are not sure happened to make you change your mind about your stay.
We were willing and happy to accommodate all of your requests and any concerns, and we deeply regret that we were unable to make sure you had the kind of wonderful stay we love to provide for our guests."
This house was perfect for a weekend getaway with my family. The house was very clean and cozy. Ed was very welcoming and made the checkin/checkout process very smooth. Would definitely come back!
Lovely cottage, clean, newly renovated and well-appointed. Super easy coordination and check-in with graceful owner and friendly neighbor. Relatively close to Watch Hill, East Beach and other nearby attractions. Would definitely rent again!
This home has just about everything you'd want. A beautiful view out the kitchen window of the marina and the river, relaxed setting and lovely decor. The beds were very comfortable.
It was a great place to relax after long days at a national dance competition. Also close to shopping and restaurants.
With a futon or pull-out sofa, the basement could be used as another bedroom and an extra bathroom downstairs would be a real plus. As an older person, I would recommend safety bars in the current shower (which is perfect otherwise). The internet-based TV didn't offer much selection, but that was okay, considering we used the home as a base for other activities. the owner's sister did a fabulous job with the decor and we enjoyed the windowed porch, which brought the outdoors inside.
Vielen Dank. Auch unser zweiter Besuch war wieder toll.
Die Kinder Konten Basketball spielen und den Pool benutzen.
Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Cutest House Ever- Charming but Efficient
This house it completely new! We were so pleased with the kitchen amenities and the layout of the house. Plenty of room to socialize and to sleep. Great value and working with the owner was a breeze. Feels like you our off the beaten path but its a quick ride to all Mystic points and you have the water view right in the back yard.

Comfortable and Quiet
We rented this well-appointed house for a visit with nearby relatives. The house was well-suited to all— great kitchen, bunk beds, comfortable living room hang out area. Everything is brand new and I appreciated the quality construction and design choices. The house would benefit from some fresh air, but I did enjoy the AC. Beach chairs, umbrella and cooler were much appreciated. We’d love to come back again sometime.

It was a perfect short break in this great house.
Thanks alot.
My son and I spent a short break in this great house. The house is completely renovated and beautiful.
It is quiet in a side street with a beautiful view of the small marina. Beautiful to enjoy the sunrises.
A shared pool is a few steps away. Nevertheless, nothing is heard from the bathers.
The house is ideal to combine peace and beach life.
The hosts, Isabelle and Saul are very friendly and always helpful.
We will gladly come back if we are allowed! Thank you

Amazing Riverfront Stay
The home is perfect - completely new and well appointed. I can't imagine that we would have needed anything more to make our stay awesome. Saul and Isabelle were so helpful with many suggestions for local dining and beach tips. They made us feel welcome and were on hand to answer any questions to make our stay as good as possible. The home was perfect for our family and the kids loved the bunk beds. We plan to go back next year!
