TEN MILE CREEK RIGHT OFF THE BALCONY

Cozy 2br/2 full bath just off the west end of Main St. Once inside all you see and hear is beautiful 10 mile Creek and woods. The master bedroom has a king size bed. The second bedroom has 1 twin and 1 queen bed. A full size futon and extra deep couch are in the living area plus 2 leather swivel chairs. A table in the living area performs as both seating for 6, or if lowered, a coffee table. There is casual seating for 4 at the kitchen bar. The kitchen is well stocked including a smoothie blender, mini food processor, slow cooker etc.
Summit county's Free shuttle runs along main street to Copper, Keystone, Breckenridge, the east end of Frisco and Silverthorn. The bus stop is about 150 yards away and runs hourly in the summer and every 1/2 hr in winter. Access the bike trail across Main St. (about 150 yards away). Walk to the Mt Royal trail head in about 5-8 minutes. Coin-op laundry on-site. Parking for 2 vehicles. Additional parking across main street (max 48 hrs). Allergy warning: The owners do have a dog that is occasionally there when they use the condo.
The tv is a roku which makes for easy streaming of netflix, amazon, youtube, pandora, spotify etc. Cable tv is also provided. Connect to the blue tooth sound system to listen to your own music. Easy instructions provided to navigate the electronics.

Home away by a mountain stream

We had a great time at this hide away in Frisco. Close to Main St. but tucked away from the main path. Nicely decorated, very well- equipped kitchen, comfortable beds and linens, and soft towels. An added bonus...a nice private deck overlooking a beautiful mountain stream for relaxing after hiking the local trails. Thanks again Karen for sharing your lovely condo with us.

Great stay!

Just a perfect location for skiing vacation with my 2 nephews (15 and 16). For the first few days of the stay I was without a car (by design), but easily walked to town and took the Summit Stage bus (a gem) and other shuttles to ski Copper and Vail (less expensive than parking) - getting around was very easy - even with skis and boots. The condo was well equipped...including fun family games! The nephews loved the creek out back. The owner was responsive and very accommodating (thank you).

Nice Quiet Retreat

The Frog Hollow condo was a great place to stay in Frisco. I am quite familiar with the area and this is an extremely convenient location to get around the county to all the ski area's, but especially Copper Mountain. We also love to use the path system and this condo is only a couple blocks from great hikes and bike rides. Ten Mile Creek runs just a few feet from the patio which is lovely to listen to while on the deck. The owner is very responsive and helpful, the condo is quiet, comfortable, nicely decorated and the kitchen well appointed. WiFi was great and the TV and entertainment system is the best I've seen in a rental. Highly recommended for 2 couples or families of 4 or 5. We will likely be back.

Cleanliness

The property was covered in pet hair including the bedding. Two of us have asthma and could not breath in the place. The property is listed as "No pets allowed". In all fairness, in the small print it does say that the owner's pets do come there which I missed. We luckily found another place and they did refund a good portion of the money. Please change the listing and have the allergy alert in bold in a prevalent spot on the listing.

I am sorry you missed my allergy warning and that you assumed no pets allowed is the same as pet-free. That would probably be true of a hotel but not a 2nd home. I think its fair to say that the condo was very clean (we drove up to check!) and that you were beside yourself angry that your assumptions weren't born out and this colored your review. Perfect Location

This condo had everything we needed. The beds were comfortable and the condo was clean. The kitchen was stocked really well. We were able to cook breakfast each am and several dinners with no problem. The grocery store(Safeway)is a short drive. We took the shuttle to Copper every day to ski except the first day. The bus stop was a short walk - I would say about a block. The great thing to me was the bus stop is the last stop on the way to Copper and the first stop on the way back. When we drove to Copper, we still had to take a walk across the parking lot at Copper to catch the shuttle to the village. I personally thought the shuttle was an easier choice than driving to Copper “if” you don’t want to pay 40 a day for the paid parking in the village. Location is right off Main St. a bit too far to walk to dinner. Summer may not be too bad but my guess is most would want a car staying here but you could take the bus to the downtown area. Communications with the property mgr. was great. The manager responded to my messages almost immediately. I would definitely stay here again.

The sound of the water, coming in from outside, was worth every penny. Beds were also super comfy, and condo had everything we needed, all week.

Great stay, I hope to visit again during summer

This is a great property facing a creek as advertised, very close to the bus stop. Very cozy living room allows family (or friends) to spend wonderful evenings together. Condo is on the first floor (it is 2-story building), so access is very easy. Overall Frisco has great location - it is in the middle between different "hot" spots in Colorado mountains - like Breckeridge or Vail. It is very close to big shopping centers, from Walmart to Whole Foods or an outlet. On the other hand Frisco is a great small town to walk around. BTW, don't forget to go to "Bread and Salt" for breakfast and start your morning there with couple of Mimosas. Tell them I sent you and you get a smile (just kidding, but not about smile). Anyways, wonderful stay, a lot of snow, great host! Thanks!!

Glocation ation beautiful unit

The stream in the backyard was wonderful to listen to and watch. I loved the woodburning fireplace. The bed was extremely comfortable and and the host was terrific to deal with and helped me navigate the 3 remote controls.I could not have asked for a better experience and hope to stay there again.

My wife wants to buy it.

This condo is in a great location for day trips or just hanging out in Frisco. You can walk to town and several great hiking trails. The best thing about the condo is the back deck. 10 feet from the water. We spent most the time at the condo on the back deck or playing in the water. I wish i had brought our hamock to sleep out there. I could keep going but you get the point. We loved it.

We absolutely loved staying in the condo on Ten mile Creek. The porch was Zen and we hiked from the condo to at least three trailheads without using the car. Wish we had even more time and would absolutely love to visit again.

Great spot

The sound of a roaring Ten Mile Creek echoed through the clean, well maintained condo. Everything we needed and more. Will return, even with the one slight negative, the location, being at the far end of Frisco Main St. Made for a nice walk, though.

Perfect Frisco Winter Get-A-Way!

Karen's condo was fantastic. Great location, well appointed and clean. Peaceful and private setting with Ten Mile creek flowing just steps from a covered back porch. Plus having the best March snowfalls at Copper in years made it even better! I think about 6' of snow in one week. (Just missed being hit be an avalanche by 3 cars driving back to Frisco after skiing at Copper). Karen was great to work with and very accommodating with a very fast response time. perfect for a small family ski gathering

Great location - right off main street (restaurants, etc), very close to highway for easy access but faces away from highway toward small creek, so quiet and peaceful. Free bus to Copper about 100 yds from door. So - able to enjoy all that Frisco has but still easily get to any summit area ski spot.

Old and need of updates-not clean-carpet is filthy

It would be great to enjoy the sound of the creek, but with no screens on the door or windows,it was like being trappped indoors because ,waving the door open imvited all kind of moaquitps and flies. The kitchen is in need od a small mixer and blender. Paper napkins and bar soap would be nice to have as most people do not bring those with them.the. carpet is old and in need of cleaning. Overalll I can not recommend this house as is

Judith, I'm so sorry the condo did not meet your expectations: I would love to have every convenience in the kitchen but there just isn't room. I've read all the lists of items that are expected and should be supplied in a rental and I've exceeded those lists. I have since added a small nutribullet blender. Screen: It's true there isn't a screen on the door to the outside deck, but there is a screen on the back side window that we open to get the sound of the creek. I'm sorry you didn't notice this.. I wish you'd contacted me so I could have pointed it out. As far as flies and mosquitos....I'm not sure I've ever seen them in Frisco, CO...but yes..you can't just leave the door open. The carpet: One of my guests did do a job on it this past summer....I can't figure out what....but I've since had it professionally cleaned. Old?:The condo is mostly updated but not everything is brand new..... Since your visit we have installed a new refrigerator, and new windows. They are great. Soap: Although I do not supply hotel type soap as this is not standard in condos I do leave bulk liquid soap in the baths and kitchen. I had one instance this past summer when the hand soap in the kitchen went missing. My guest contacted me (you?) and I had my cleaners run over some new soap. Finally, the entire complex received a facelift on the outside; some new siding, paint, etc. I try not to oversell the condo to be something it isn't....I want every guest to be happy. It is casual and comfortable with a great view. If I can answer any questions for potential future guests please contact me so I can be sure its what you are looking for. Thank you :) Karen

3 Times & Counting!

Location, location LOCATION! Close to all the cool eats in Frisco; close to I-70 @West Main for escaping town quickly, and most important: close to 10 Mile Creek! Trifecta! And did I mention, literally 1 minute from the paved trail that goes all the way up & over Vail Pass to Vail, and to Breckenridge the other direction? The place is comfy &sleeps 4 - 5 people comfortably, and the futon adds even more for the larger groups. Stereo/TV/Entertainment center is far too complicated & must be modernized, but who is there to sit inside and watch TV anyway? Will definitely be back again! Thanks for making such a nice place available!

Hi Scott, Sorry you found the electronics confusing. I've updated the directions with simplicity in mind. Plus there are more directions for those who want to take advantage of the bluetooth sound bar, Apps such as Netflix, Amazon Prime, HBO GO, Pandora, You Tube, Spotify,,,,,,,,. The system is state of the art, modern and now with simpler picture instructions :-)
