About this property
Amazing views in the heart of Luberon, AC, 10 guests. Book Spring to Fall 2026
Nestled in the heart of the Luberon, this large and luxurious villa was built 25 years ago by a local architect in a modern style while using the local white stones. Overlooking the vineyards, Mont Ventoux and the villages of Roussillon and Joucas, Villa Manon is truly in the center of the Luberon. With its wide open spaces on the main floor, opening to several covered terraces and the heated horizon pool, the house is ideal for large groups of families or friends.
The 3 large bedrooms in the main house are all equipped with en-suite bathrooms, King-sized (180 cm) beds, and air conditioning. They open to the upper and lower terraces, enjoying gorgeous views of the countryside. One of those bedrooms is located on the main floor, ideally suited to our guests with impaired mobility. The 2 bedrooms in the second house have been updated and upgraded to the standards of the main house. Also equipped with air conditioning and brightly coloured en-suite bathrooms with Italian showers, they are furnished with a King bed (180 cm) in one and 2 twin beds in the other. A Nespresso machine, water boiler and bar fridge complete the equipment of these two bedrooms, allowing for those late night snacks, early morning coffee, or the urge for a cold drink in the middle of the night.
The main house offers a large formal living room and a dining room for 10, all air conditioned, as well as a smaller TV room with various media plug-ins. The upper galleria , looking out to the valley, is dedicated to office work, with desk, printer and full internet access, as anywhere else throughout the house. AC is allover the 2 houses. The kitchen, decorated in the Provencal fashion, is the heart of the house. Equipped with top of the line appliances, including our brand new Lacanche 140 cm piano de cuisine (2 electric ovens, 5 gas burners & 2 induction ), a large pantry, and all the necessary cookware, it is truly fit for the gourmet cook. Our American guests will feel at ease thanks to the imported measurement tools, English cookbooks, washer/dryer and ice-water dispenser fridge... The laundry and storage room is right behind the kitchen, fully equipped as well. A small covered gym, equipped with an upright bike, rowing machine, and weights completes the main floor.
You may choose to have breakfast on the back patio looking out to a rose garden, with its large sun canopy, have a quick lunch in the cool of the kitchen , enjoy an evening drink in the outside living room and dine outside on the large teak table, looking out to the pool.
With all its amenities, electric blinds and mosquitoes nests, AC throughout, very comfortable beds, lots of towels and all paper and cleaning supplies, kitchen staples, hairdryers, high-speed internet access throughout, a smart TV, a separate clothes dryer, a gas BBQ, a heated pool suitable for laps, a petanque game area, a huge, completely fenced and very private garden with panoramic views of the Apt valley, an English-speaking house-manager who can double as a concierge and help you organize your stay with advance bookings, gourmet tours and in-house catering, Villa Manon will let you enjoy a perfect stay.
You may decide to spend an active day, discovering one of the numerous villages hanging from the hills, visiting the splendid Abbaye of Senanque in its nest of lavender, shopping at the local markets or at the nearby farm for the bountiful produce of the region, or you may decide to do nothing and stay at the house all day, resting in the shade, listening to the humming cicadas', or going for a walk in the adjacent forest and cooling off in the pool.
The pool is heated, and once you have enjoyed a midnight bath in the starry night, watching the twinkling lights in the valley as you swim, you will truly feel in paradise!

Loved the house, very comfortable and spacious , well located for a Luberon holiday. Great concierge service and a very helpful and pleasant owner all contributed to one of our best stays in the area - and we have been visiting for 20 years. Thank you

Thank you so much, Yvonne. It was great to meet you and I am so happy this vacation went so well for your group. I will pass along your compliments to our concierge service. They love to hear how their hard work pays off and makes our guests happy. We hope to see you again in our beautiful Provence and at Villa Manon. All the best to you.
This beautiful property provided the perfect setting for our family stay in Luberon. Scenic views, spacious bedrooms and living areas, an excellent swimming pool and well maintained grounds in total privacy. We just might have to return.

Glad you had a good time with your family, Emerson. There was quite a mishap between your number of guests as stated in the initial contract you established and how many of you came, but I am happy we were able to accommodate every one in the end. Mistake came from a disconnect between my site VRBO and the translated ones, I suppose, but it has now been fully corrected and the 10 guests only appears now everywhere. We will be happy to host you again another time. Have a good rest of your summer.
Such a great villa which can accommodate multiple family and friends. The view is fantastic and the location means you have peace and quiet to relax and enjoy the pool whilst still only being about 20 minutes for multiple restaurants. Would definitely recommend it.
The property is lovely - beautiful expansive views of the Luberon region, stunning pool, well kept gardens and grass. The home is very spacious and really nice that each bedroom has it’s own bathroom. The kitchen was well stocked. The owner is very responsive and the property is extremely well managed. We had a fantastic time and loved staying at this property and doing day excursions.
We had a wonderful two weeks at the property and are hoping to be able to visit again! Beautiful mornings sitting outside looking out over the valley, swimming in the fabulous pool, curled up with a good book in the bright and spacious main sitting room or watching a little Wimbledon in the 'snug' during the hottest parts of the day, and cooking in the well-equipped kitchen. There are plenty of spaces to sit and eat, inside and out for different times of the day. It was extremely hot when we were there but the house offers shade outside and efficient AC inside. The view over the vally is stunning and the location is perfect for visiting different places in the area. Goult itself is a lovely village with an excellent boulangerie, epicerie and boucherie - and only about 5 minutes away by car!The owner, Francoise, and her managers on-site were great and a couple of small issues were sorted out quickly. We hope very much to be with them again. The pictures speak for themselves!

Amazing home
Just returned from a week's stay at Villa Manon. It is an amazing home in a wonderful secluded location. If you love to swim the pool is one of the best I have experienced and perfect for lap swimmers. The kitchen is wonderful for a group of people to share time and is fully stocked with everything you need. Everything about the home is perfect especially for groups with multiple couples. Each of the bedrooms are incredibly private, spacious and quiet. The views are amazing and the location is so quiet all you hear are the birds. Once you are there for a few days is it very hard to leave.

Thank you Michael. I thrive to make Villa Manon the most comfortable and easy to live in from the minute my guests come in and I am very happy your group enjoyed the stay so much. We have had some of our best gatherings in the kitchen, guests love to help prep the food, chat and enjoy the local wines around the big table, it is very convivial. The heated pool makes it a lot easier to enjoy the home when not in full summer, and you are right, the peacefulness and the views never cease to amaze us. Come back any time, you know the way!
Everything at Villa Manon was excellent and exceeded our expectations. The great house, lovely terrace, beautiful pool, and gorgeous view cannot be topped. The property manager was extremely helpful and we are so glad we took advantage of his suggestion to have a local chef come and prepare a Provençal meal for us. It was a special meal and evening. We were so sorry to have to leave and will certainly plan to return. We greatly appreciated the owner’s flexibility in dealing with the issues created by COVID. Merci beaucoup!

Thank you Linda, I am so glad you were finally able to travel to Provence. You waited long enough for that trip. Do you know you were our first American guests since the start of the pandemic?
Thank you for all the pictures of your group and your appreciation of our home and services.
Please do let me know if there were still a few things that could be improved upon, it's always important to me.
Herve does indeed do a remarkable job, year after year, of helping our guests and it is nice of you to comment on it. I will pass it along to him.
I hope you are now settled back at home and wish you a wonderful summer. Warmly! Francoise (indeed from a 100o Seattle!)
We absolutely loved our stay in the magnificent Villa Manon. The house is wonderful, pool divine, and we loved the location. Far enough away to feel private and remote, but within a 10-15 minute drive you could get anything you wanted from gourmet restaurants to fabulous bakeries, butchers, fish mongers, huge grocery stores. Plus there are markets every day of the week nearby.
Communication with Francoise and the excellent property managers was pleasant and immediate.
Francoise provided us with tons of suggestions of places to go, recommended restaurants and markets/stores.
The beds were all comfortable. All of our guests commented on how comfy the rooms were.
We should also mention that the windows have bug screens, which not all properties have. It was a huge bonus. The massive windows also had fantastic black-out screens in the main house, so sleeping in was a pleasure! The pool was perfectly heated. All of the bedrooms had AC, which really came in handy when nights became steamy.
We couldn't have asked for a more wonderful month of June! Thank you, Francoise!
We enjoyed our time in this spacious home with a beautiful pool area.
As a family of 5 (with teens), we stayed in the house for the last week of August, which I realise is right at the end of the summer period. The house is generally well equipped, the pool is large and terrace is lovely, it is set on a big plot and our small dog enjoyed running about safely.
The house is well laid out though, slightly tired. The oven in the kitchen needs attention, as does the the dryer and the external doors, all fitted with mosquito nets, need fixing. Mosquito nets are definitely necessary and unfortunately they were not functioning correctly.
The agent who manages the property was great, very helpful and aimed to get the nets fixed during our stay, though we declined her offer, given this was in the last few days of our holiday and wanted to be left in peace.
All in all, it’s a lovely house and with some TLC, will be brought up to standard.
The surrounding areas and villages are incredibly beautiful and the house location meant that we were well positioned to explore the Luberon Valley.

Dear Philippa,
Thank you for having spent time at Villa Manon and in Provence, and your nice and constructive comments. I am glad you enjoyed your stay overall. I am so sorry about the blinds. They started malfunctioning earlier this summer, and it seems the installer company has changed teams. It has been very difficult to get them to do anything. August of course made it even worse! But it will be fixed this fall.
Similarly, we shall change the oven asap this year. As for the dryer, I am glad you brought it up as I don't use it very much and no one else said anything, so I will look into it and get a better one.
We shall also be adding AC to the downstairs area, and new lighting to the garden. I hope you will come back to us and Provence one day soon.
With my warm regards, Francoise
Villa Manon is the perfect house for a group of friends or a large family. The indoor spaces are as described and the pool is even more magical than pictured. The separated bedrooms with en suite bathrooms were ideal. We truly enjoyed the petanque court and although it was an item we filtered houses to include, we all agreed that our daily games that evolved to a tournament were an especially unique highlight to our week.
The location is perfect for the exploration of various hilltowns and the town of Coustellet with its grocery stores, pharmacy, gas, and ATM is an easy drive.
The onsite manager, Herve, was great. He was reachable as we navigated the summer traffic on arrival day and when we needed to reach him for a few typical house issues.
Some of our favorite restaurants included the following: (advance reservations i.e. 2+ weeks were important given our peak Summer season stay)
L’Outsider in Gordes (for dinner)
Les Lavandes in Sault (for lunch)
Le Carillon in Goult (for lunch on Market Day - Thursday)
Some of our favorite activities in the area included the following:
Coustellet Farmers Market on Sunday which included Cave de Lumiere wine tasting - this was one of the best markets after visiting many over our two week trip in Provence and Tuscany (go by 8am …it was hot and crowded by 10)
Cave de Bonnieux wine tasting
Chateau Carnogue wine tasting (you must watch “The Good Year” with Russell Crowe which was filmed here and in other locations in Cucuron, Gordes, and Menerbes)
Chateau Pesquie wine tasting and picnic in Moirmoron - so worth the 45 minute drive (order the picnic for $25 per person in advance - it was one of our favorite days
Chateau Lourmarin classical concert and picnic on the terrace (Thursday evenings - buy tickets in advance)

Thank you, Beth, for all the wonderful local recommendations. I am sure future guests will appreciate them very much.
I am glad to see you liked a good petanque game and you took full advantage of all of what the region offers to its visitors. You are right that the Coustellet market is one of the best, it has so many stalls and such variety, it's big but still authentic and colorful, I love it too.
Thank you for having chosen Villa Manon and please come back to Provence another time.
Have a lovely Fall, Francoise

A special hillside retreat, in a great country setting
My family stayed at Villa Manon for a week ending July 4, and we wished we had a month. Comfortable, understated quality, compelling interest -- just a few of the adjectives that describe this lovely home on a Provencal hillside. Just what a vacation house in France should be! Most highly recommended.
We loved everything about it. I think the photos on the site are impressive, but they do not do the house justice in terms of its size, flow, comfort, accommodations, and quality of fixtures. The beds are comfortable and well appointed. And the bathrooms have the highest quality appliances and plumbing fixtures, including a luxuriant rain shower in the lower master bedroom. The house is designed to open from the main living areas to the patio and the pool deck, and these spaces flow together easily. In fact, everything about the house flows, from room to room, from inside to outside, from front to back, from downstairs to rooftop desks. The owners advertize that it comfortably sleeps 10, and it does, but it felt as though you could have invited 50 for a party and it would not begin to feel crowded. Very spacious and accommodating.
In most vacation homes there is a single, glorious master bedroom and then a series of smaller rooms that are not entirely comfortable for adult couples. If you have more than one family, someone inevitably gets the short straw. Not this house. This house has three bedrooms that could each serve as a master bedroom with comfort, style and attraction. My wife and I used the spacious room on the main floor, with a large attached master bathroom and shower, and direct access to the veranda. Great privacy and quiet. Loved the rain shower--nice touch.
Dawns were spectacular. If I lived there I would get up at dawn every summer morning. The mist in the valley and the color on the horizon is spectacular, and the valley is incredibly peaceful
The house is well removed from the road, on a large fenced and landscaped property offering complete privacy. Complete privacy and comfort.
The infinity pool is perfect for lap swimmers. The pool was my favorite part of the house, but many people would prefer the large Provencal kitchen. Quite atmospheric and appealing, spacious, and very well equipped—not just to have a few basics for renters. I thought there would be very little to do near the house, but this is a vibrant, area rich in markets, festivals.
Loved it all! Goult is charming. Thank you!!!

We just finished a beautiful weeks stay at Villa Manon that was amazing from the first step we took inside the doors. I had read all the reviews online before I chose the location and I was very happy that everyone was correct about this amazing property. We were a group of 3 couples and were very impressed with the fact that all 3 bedrooms in the main house were master bedrooms equipped with king size beds and ensuite bathrooms making it very easy to spend your week in either room and be happy. We loved the fact that you could eat dinner in different locations, kitchen for the very casual evening, dining room for a more formal night, but mostly we had our meals on the terrace by the pool that has a beautiful covered area, stunning with and a table that could sit up to 12 or more. The location was so convenient for visiting different villages, market after market were all so close to us. We did not have to think of anything all week except for enjoying ourselves. Thank you Francoise for your suggestions on restaurants and a cook that we were able to hire who cooked us a delicious dinner and made sure we could enjoy our time with our guests without having to think about anything from groceries to cleanup, a wonderful night. I hope to return to the area in the future to do some more exploring and will be hoping I can stay at Villa Manon again, I don't think I could ever find a place more perfect. Thank you again Francoise and Pascal for making your home so inviting.

Thank you for your review, dear Deborah. You have been a great guest.
I am always so happy to hear that our guests have a wonderful time, both at the house and in Provence in general. Thank you for your lovely comments. Yes, you will have to come back, Luberon is so rich in its offerings, something for everyone really.
We think of Vill Manon as our special retreat in France, and we want our guests to experience the same pleasure we have when staying there. So any improvement is always made with this thought in mind. Please do let me know of anything you feel could be added. Have a wonderful fall.
We had the most magical stay at Villa Manon, it is such a special place! The house is airy and spacious - we were 8 adults and 2 children and never felt remotely cramped. The terrace by the pool was a beautiful place to gather and relax and take in the remarkable view of the countryside, but there were lots of other balconies and nooks for those seeking a bit of privacy and quiet. The bedrooms are all large and the air conditioning is a real gift on the warm evenings. The kitchen is large and well stocked for keen cooks. The house is perfectly located for exploring nearby towns of Goult and Gordes and many other small, beautiful villages in the region. Avignon was a very easy day trip too. We could have easily stayed three times as long and not run out of things to explore! Importantly, the support and helpful information we received from the house manager and the property owner was invaluable - they were so approachable, kind and generous, which made for a very happy and smooth holiday!

Great house in the heart of the Luberon
Villa Manon has been a great house for us. As a frequent visitors to the Luberon, Villa Manon is the only house we have stayed more than one time, and we plan to rent it again during our next visit.
The combination of its location and how the house is configured and furnished, make Villa Manon the perfect home base for exploring the magical Luberon Valley.

Provence Perfection
We had a wonderful time at Villa Manon. The Villa had everything we needed for our stay. The layout of the villa is perfect for family and friends and there is enough space for everyone to be able to relax but also spend time together. We used the cottage house for our guests that came for a few days at a time and the ensuite rooms for our guests who stayed longer. The pool is perfection with a gorgeous view of Provence. It is very well located with provincial villages less than 10 minutes away. The owner was very accommodating to our requests and the manager was very helpful with all of our needs. I cannot recommend Villa Manon enough! We will definitely be back.

An Absolutely AMAZING 2 Weeks!
Imagine being located in the most pristine beautiful charming area of Provence, in a fully modern and amazingly equipped gorgeous house - that's what you get at Villa Manon! As you can see from the photos, there are multiple areas for you and your friends/family to enjoy. Start the morning out with a great workout in the mini-gym, dive straight into the pool for a swim, followed by a delicious breakfast cooked in the perfect kitchen, and head out for a day of delightful fun in Provence. Fracoise has thought of everything, absolutely everything. Every cooking device (even a fondue pot), serving utensil or dish, spices and some linens are all there for you to utilize and prepare wonderful meals. The pool is enormous and great for laps and watching the evening fireflies as you sip champagne or the drink of choice. Because it does get hot in Provence, it's wonderful to have a garage to park your car in - there's even a handy vacuum to do a quick clean of the car after driving all over the countryside. We enjoyed cooking on the giant grill and we loved opening all the doors when we were home in the morning and evenings. Thank you Francoise for your thoughtful care in preparing such a wonderful house and thank you for making it available on VRBO!

Amazing holiday
This is second year in a row we have rented Villa Manon, and we are in love with the house and the region. The house is spacious and have all facilities. We appreciate the air condition in all the rooms. We like to eat breakfast in the cool patio close to the kitchen and lunches and dinners in front of the pool and the view of Luberon. This year we also used the petanque playground behind the house. It is impossible to see how beautiful the house is on the pictures, you need to to experience it! And I also need to mention that the closebye village Goult is adorable. It is like walking back in time and luckily there is less tourists. We hope we can come back next year.

Thank you, Paul, for your nice comments about the house.Yes, Villa Manon has many different areas to seek out in the course of the day, we like that about it too. It makes it comfortable for large groups to not feel confined to each other. And I am glad you enjoyed Goult, I think it is a great village, far less crowded, and with a real life to it, not just a series of touristy shops like some other places. Definitely worth many strolls over, to the market, to the windmill, to the cafe de la Poste.... without forgetting a stop at La Boulangerie where the variety of breads is so tantalizing and yummy!
Thank you for having come back to visit. You were, as before, great guests to have. All the best to you all, Francoise

Exceptionally beautiful, peaceful place!
My family and I spent two lovely weeks at Villa Manon. The villa's public areas showcase the exceptional views by opening to the large terraces that surround the spacious pool. The bedrooms are large and have modern up to date bathrooms. The kitchen is a cook's dream- fully equipped ! Our family spent many happy evenings cooking or grilling our "market finds" and then enjoying our efforts outside on the lovely terrace with mesmerizing views. Besides enjoying the pool, we had many spirited bocci ball contests on the court by the side of the home. Plus it was such a pleasure to cut a few roses and other flowers from the large gardens that surround the home. Finally, we felt the location of the villa was perfect- plenty of privacy, yet close enough to run into Goult for breakfast croissants or to dine at the town's several excellent restaurants. We also liked the fact that Goult, while charming, was not as crowded as the other close by more well-known Luberon hill towns. All in all, a perfect place to stay in the Luberon- we are definitely coming back!!

Incredible villa and amazing views
This was an incredible place..even better than the pictures can convey. The house is sited between 2 small villages, but very close to everything in the luberon. The villa was gorgeous with comfortable furnishings inside and out. We were a large group but everyone felt they had plenty of privacy when needed. Each bedroom had a private bath (newly updated in the adjoining house). The kitchen was fully stocked and we loved it so much we had a blast shopping in the markets and coming "home" to cook festive meals. The views were glorious...looking out over the luberon valley and all the way to mount ventoux in the distance...so peaceful. Herve was wonderful..meeting us upon arrival, making some wonderful suggestions for local restaurants and tips for travel. Francoise, the owner, was a dream to work with..very communicative, and she has a detailed list of the whole surrounding area filled with information about the local towns, markets, restaurants and wines.
Sitting on the outside porch, overlooking the valley at sunset while tasting local wines and cheeses felt like I had stepped onto a movie set..just incredible. I would come back in a heartbeat and I cannot recommend this place enough..it is magical!

About the host
Hosted by Francoise Martin
We, (Pascal and Francoise) are both French living in Seattle, WA (USA). We were craving sun, and we wanted to have a family home in France, a gathering place for the French side of the family and all our friends across the world. We wanted it to be nice, but simple and without fuss, welcoming to our big kids as much as to the grand-parents. 25 years later, the kids have grown and now bring their own children. And our 3rd generation wonderful golden-retriever comes along each time we fly to Provence. By the way, your dog is welcome too (upon request).
Why they chose this property
We bought Villa Manon 25 years ago for its spectacular views of the Luberon, for the peace and quiet surrounding it, for the endless sunny days we could envision spending in Provence. We considered the time it took traveling from Paris CDG, and how central it was if we wanted to attend all the beautiful summer festivals in Orange, Avignon, Aix.... and the fact that it was close to some of the most superb vineyards that match the local food so well. 25 years later, the views and the peace remain unchanged, it's the miracle of the Luberon National Park!
What makes this property unique
We made the house comfortable for all the friends visiting us with or without their children and we made sure we could cook great meals in the kitchen (Francoise loves to cook and Pascal loves to eat!). There is never enough time in Provence to do it all: wine tasting, browsing the markets, shopping in Avignon or Aix, exploring the old villages, day dreaming by the pool, playing tennis in Goult in the early morning, walking through the hills to Lumiere or stopping by the cafe in Goult, a nap in the shade, a great restaurant at night, we just love it all and are always sad to leave.
