About this property

JDV Holidays - 5 bedroom/ 5 bath stone villa with heated, private pool and A/C

An elegant farmhouse not far from the centre of the village of Maubec, ideal for a large group of up to 8 people. (10 on request)

It's a very calm and private space and benefits from 500m of garden with a 9m X 5m heated swimming pool.

Within 5 minutes walk of the Villa you stumble across the local baker, a bar, the village store & a restaurant. Just a few km from this village you will discover the other, beautiful villages of the Luberon and the larger town of Cavaillon.

The original building was actually a Provençal silk farm and has now expertly converted into a superb holiday house which has retained many original features.

There are 5 air-conditioned bedrooms and 5 bathrooms in total.

In the main part of the house there are two bedrooms, one room with a double bed and one with single beds that can be joined together to form one large double bed of 180 cms.

In the other part of the house there are three further rooms. One double on the ground floor, and on the first floor there are two more bedrooms that both have single beds that can be joined together to form large double beds of 180 cm width.

All the bedrooms have en suite shower rooms, basin and toilet and they are all air-conditioned - a real plus for the balmy summer months!

There's an open-plan, fully equipped kitchen, with oven, microwave, fridge, freezer, dish washer and washing machine. Tte kitchen and dining areas are fantastic and form a central part of the layout of the house.

The comfortable living space has sofas and chairs, and includes a dining area with table and chairs. Much of the furniture is antique and was sourced from L'Isle sur la Sorgue, the local antiques centre of Provence.

Outside is a sheltered, converted barn equipped with a fabulous, 12 seater wooden dining table, a built in barbecue and a kitchen area.

The garden is beautifully maintained with furniture for relaxing in the sunshine or shade and a ping-pong table, if you’re feeling a little bit more active.

The swimming pool is located in the walled garden, and is perfect for taking a quick dip to escape the heat of the day. It is open from mId April to mid October and can be heated in the cooler months, included in the price.
There is an electrically operated cover over the pool.

There are electric gates and also secure parking for up to 3 cars

Villa St Henri Maubec

Helen, Marie, and Jean-Pierre were very attentive. Well appointed house, lovely grounds and pool. Perfect for couples or families. Markets and Bio coop close by. Plenty of shops and restaurants. Just 1 suggestion - VRBO lists WiFi as an amenity, but there is none in 3 bedrooms nor anywhere around the pool. Very disappointing and would make it impossible for another booking for us.

Merci.

Beautiful, roomy house in the Luberon

The house is beautifully restored and large: we fitted ten people in easily, each couple with their own stylish bathroom. Kitchen well equipped--anything you could want in the way of appliances, including two coffeemakers, pretty china and cutlery, and a good barbecue set-up in the stone barn,. Altogether, an elegant and peaceful place: every detail is perfect. Lawn, courtyard and pool spotless and well maintained by a cleaner, the energetic, friendly Odile, and a gardener, the tall, smiling Mikael. In fact, the size and lay-out turned out to be better than they look in the on-line description. Wonderful garden with climbing roses, honeysuckle, jasmine and lavender. We'd recommend the house to any friend or relative. Maubec is a peaceful small town, very quiet, with two bakeries; there are good outdoor markets, especially in Coustellet, and a good butcher and great fruit and vegetables in nearby Robion. Good hikes, at all levels of difficulty; concerts in Vaucluse churches; the town hall shows movies. We ate mostly at the house, but the Bergerie, in town, is a cheerful, well-run casual restaurant, and the Closerie, in La Tour d'Aigues, is very fine.
