Absolutely loved our stay at The Lodge. We enjoyed the patio and hot tub. Full amenity kitchen which allowed us to cook with ease. Beds were super comfy!
My daughter was competing in the Jr Olympics at Texas A&M so we needed a place to stay for the week. This place was very well equipped…we used the hottub, grill, washer and drier. She provided coffee, laundry detergent, shampoo and conditioner…a lot of extras you don’t usually find in a VRBO. It is out of town, but not too far. Highly recommend!
Lovely country home. Very cozy with everything you could need! Really great outdoor area that we enjoyed! Played games and ate outside.
Just close enough to A&M, but really nice country setting, we saw deer, tons of birds, it was a nice escape!
Will definitely return!

Enjoyed it
Enjoyed the stay. One caution - property advertises it will sleep 6 but there is only bed space for 4. If more than 4, sleeping on a couch or a blow-up mattress is required. Other than that, all was great!

Calm and Quiet!
We took a set of Grandparents to see our Zip march in the Fightin' Texas Aggie Band and to visit our fish daughter. The Lodge was a quiet get away from the hustle and bustle of game day on campus! The indoor space was perfect for the four of us with everything we needed from meals, sleeping, and a big TV. The outdoor setting is awesome, when the Texas heat subsides it is a perfect place to sit and catch up!

Great stay for Graduation
We had a great weekend. The lodge was adorable, the gardens were beautiful. We came for our son's graduation, and had a little get together there. Tammy and Michael were very accommodating. They set up a canopy and sprayed for mosquitoes and filled the tiki torches before our party. It was so nice to have a place to hang out with the family. Wish we would have stayed there sooner. Thank you for helping to make our weekend memorable.

Hospitable
Me and a fee friends made the trip to College Station for the football game. We were greeted upon arrival. The hosts were very nice. Our living area was connected to the main house, but separated by a hallway door. Ee loved the stay. Everything was as advertised. They even cook breakfast for you and place it in the mini kitchen area. I would recommend, and stay again.

A Winning Weekend
What a wonderful weekend. We loved every detail of this home. We joined another couple for a fun and relaxing Aggie weekend. We felt comfortable, at home, and relaxed! We loved the massage chair and had a great time unwinding in the hot tub. There were so many thoughtful touches in the home and Tammy was a wonderful host. We hope to see you again next year! Gig'em!

Brooke, it is my pleasure to prepare for your stay here at the lodge. So glad your schedules allowed for the outdoor fellowship. The massage chair and hot tub are a great combination for relaxation ! Look forward to your next visit.
Thanks again, Tammy
Very nice location, neat getaway place to stay. We did encounter a scorpion and a wasp in the house (they warn about this, but be aware). The washing machine is close to breaking down and the dryer was broken. This is a duplex style rental. You can hear the neighbors next door. For the most part a mild recommend with the caveats I mentioned.

quite, peaceful, relaxing
Everything was just as advertised. We all felt right at home soon as we walked in, fresh chocolate chip cookies on table, everything was great. The home is very nice, quite, peaceful, the perfect location right out side of town. We were in College Station for our daughters fastpitch softball tournament and wanted a quite place to relax and cool off between games. We really enjoyed our stay and the massage chair was pretty awesome too. If we ever get back down that way we will definitely stay here again. Owners, Tammie and Mike, are very friendly.
Thank you,
Chris, Dot, Karlie, and Hannah

Although for the most part our stay was peaceful and pleasant. The hot tub and outside porch was relaxing, but the cats kinda put a damper in the peaceful part and so did the rucus of loud noises, music, and singing coming through the walls from next door. The trash was full outside when we got there, but was taken care of and emptied the next day. The breakfast treats were a nice surprise. Livingroom/diningroom were a good size. The beds and pillows were very comfortable and made the evening a great way to end it, in bed watching Netflix.

Hi Tammy, thank you for your review. We hope you enjoyed your stay overall! This homeowner has asked us to pass along the following response: "We work hard to make things pleasant and are saddened about the noise, cats, and full trash! We were actually out of town at a funeral at check-in and had alternative innkeepers for those few days, and we don't anticipate this situation again. Also, cats are necessary for the peaceful country landscape to keep other critters away. Thanks for the input!"

Unmatched hospitality!
We were so lucky to have found this place for our weekend stay in College Station. We came to attend a game and do a campus tour for my son. The house is clean and every detail is thought of! The "continental" breakfast was really a full fledged hot breakfast and it was delicious. The massage chair was so enjoyable - my son thinks he should get one for Christmas! One evening we had a fire in the fire pit and the kids sat in the hot tub. Tammy is a wonderful host and while she is deserving of this glowing review, I hope that it doesn't mean she will be so booked up that we will never get to stay there again now that my son has decided to become an Aggie!

Darling Lodge!
I planned a surprise girls' weekend for my friend's birthday. She lives in College Station and thought it was just me coming and that I had just got us a local hotel room for a sort of stay-cation. We all just loved this darling lodge. So clean and comfortable. The Christmas decorations were perfection. It had everything we needed and close to everything we had planned - Santa's Wonderland, Marth's Bloomers for lunch and Star Cinema for a dinner and movie. The patio with the firepit was a great place to just chill and catch up. Tammy (inn keeper) was very pleasant and friendly. We never got to the hot tub but wanted to. I recommend staying here. Lori

Beautiful!
Stayed at the Garden Gate Lodge for a Mother/Daughter weekend. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The garden walkway to the front door was well manicured and peaceful. The patio area had a couple of different sitting areas and a hot tub and was placed in such a way that made you feel like you were in your own private retreat. The inside of the house is gorgeous! Tammy really has an eye for decorating! And we were welcomed with a fresh baked Lemon Pound Cake. Delicious! She also had an assortment of mini muffins, fresh fruit, and provided us with an assortment of other breakfast foods. It was the perfect spot for my Mom, Sister, and me to spend some quality time together. We will definitely be back!

The pictures of this place are very deceiving. I wasn't sure I was even at the right place just by the porch alone. It is connected to someone's house, and they peek out the window and then text you the code. The layout of the place is deceiving. The furniture is different, the kitchen is different, there is door connecting the other house to you, but you are unable to lock it. It smelt like fried cabbage. I have never had a bad experience with my bookings. We arrived, stayed for about 30 minutes, felt very uncomfortable, ran to town, ended up booking a hotel for half the cost, went back loaded back up and left, spent maybe 45 minutes total at this place. I contacted the host later that night and respectfully asked for consideration of a partial refund and have never heard anything back. I do not like giving bad reviews but am just being honest. There were sound machines going which is strange to me. Gave off creepy vibes, like hidden camera or two-way mirror vibes. There are many reviews of satisfied guest and reviews that are not so satisfied. I honestly did not read the reviews because I have never had a bad experience. We were in town for a wedding and were focused on being close to the venue, lesson learned the hard way$$$$

Hi Kelly, we want to make vacation rental easy for everyone, and we're sorry that you experienced some issues during your stay. We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they wanted to share the following:– We’ve updated the photos of the home to reflect the current furniture, kitchen setup, outdoor area, and layout. A tech issue on Evolve's end previously displayed outdated photos, but this has been taken care of.– We state in our listing that the property is connected to our residence so guests know before booking. The connecting door remains inaccessible to guests, and we’re actively exploring ways to further enhance privacy. We don't have hidden cameras or two-way mirrors and take guest privacy and security very seriously.– A recent skunk sighting in our rural area may have caused the odor you noticed. We provide sound machines to enhance comfort and create a relaxing environment for our guests.Thank you for taking the time to share your experience.
