Loved the cabin and its setting with the river flowing by and the screened porch. This was a great location from which to explore the area. Wish we had booked an extra night just to enjoy the place!
Our family really enjoyed the cabin! We loved being able to fish off the dock and kayak in the river. The cabin itself was wonderful. Very comfortable for our family. We had a bonfire and hiked some local trails. Ray, our host, was super helpful! The only thing that would have made this even better would be having a washer and dryer but we were fine without for our short stay. We would absolutely come here again!
Good communication with the host and the cottage was clean and comfy. Good location to what we needed. This was our second time here both during the winter months. The outdoor firepit and indoor wood burning stove were a perfect touch.
Property was beautiful and the hosts were VERY responsive. Everything was clean from the shower to the outdoor sun room. Highly recommend if you're looking for a quiet getaway or a fun trip with friends.
We loved our stay at this cozy cabin. Cleanliness was 10/10 and check in process was simple. We loved being right on the river and having access to kayaks. It was nice and quiet, while also being close to the city!
We had such a great time here for a long weekend! The weather was perfect, and the house was set up perfectly for relaxing and making memories. We floated down the Boardman River on our tubes, checked out the Traverse City Whiskey Co. production facility, and enjoyed plenty of space in the backyard for cornhole. The fire pit by the river was the perfect way to end the evenings.

Driveway was not marked with numbers. Driveway was unplowed almost went in a ditch when we eventually figured out where to go. Only two pieces of firewood. Also you deal with an AI when you contact them not a fan
This cabin is exactly what we were hoping for. It was very clean and well stocked with some nice essentials. The stretch of river lining the whole back of the property was very clean. Even though it was too cold for us you could definitely swim if you wanted. It was also a perfect place to fly fish. Every thing was so relaxing and peaceful.
We had a lovely stay at your exquisite cabin! We wish we could've stayed longer when the temperature was hot enough for the river! The heated shower room was a great touch! Thank you for helping our group make great memories at your abode.
The owner was highly responsive and easy to work with. We really enjoyed and spent time in the screened room right on the river. The current of the river is too fast to kayak against or go upstream but is shallow, clear, and fun to play in. Such a great place to spend with family.
Excellent cabin located next to a nice river. Easy drives to all of the area sites. Regular morning and evening sightings of wildlife. The cabin had everything we needed and more. Perfect situation for us as a recently retired couple for a weekday getaway (3 nights). Would like to have stayed another couple of nights, maybe next time. Thanks for a great experience.
The place was spectacular. Accommodations were clean, comfortable and charming. The property was spacious with plenty of room to "play" outdoors. View and access to the river were great. The only "negative" is that it is not very far off a main road. You don't see the road and it's not a problem, but you do hear the traffic which can detract from the otherwise perfect ambience. It is Not a show-stopper at all ...

Family vacation
This little cabin was so sweet and beautiful! We really enjoyed our stay even though we only had 1 dry day. The only draw back was the road noise at night. You can’t see the traffic because of the trees, but you can really hear it at night. All in all though, great little cabin!

Nice!
Nice cabin, nicely furnished and equipped. Great location to get out and explore the area. Only downside is road noise makes it very hard to sleep, which is the reason I'm only giving a 4 star. If it wasn't for that, would give 5.
This was a beautiful location and we really enjoyed the space, the water and all this property had to offer. The listing did say there was a washer and dryer which did not happen to be the case but everything else was fairly spot on. Most of the kayaks are missing plugs so beware of that if you are wanting to use them but this space really is a hidden gem
Great family getaway quiet yet close to downtown Traverse City
Entire family- dog, too- enjoyed this lovely cabin. Super clean with everything we needed. The Boardman River was incredibly beautiful, clean, and serene. Kayaking was super easy with access both upstream and downstream. Everything we needed was included. Cabin is ~15 minutes away from downtown Traverse City. We mostly ate in Kingsley to avoid crowds and all restaurants had great food and service. We wouldn't have changed anything!
As soon as we arrived we were so excited about this property. A perfect flat lawn for playing soccer, frisbee, and passing the football. On the first day, we did it all, and played basketball. The river was calming, and a chilly dip was just right. Our dog enjoyed exploring when we took him for walks. We spent so much time outdoors! When we did come inside, the accommodation was cozy and comfortable. A well-equipped kitchen and private bedrooms. We look forward to returning soon.
