The property was well equipped, warm and comfortable, except for the lounges which were low and hard to get out of. Beds were terrific, shower was excellent. There was a problem with ants in the kitchen which i reported to the agent. Overall, a pleasant stay over 4 nights.

Perfect stay

Great location for visiting local area and for walks.

We stayed two nights and enjoyed the lovely home with lots of options. Kitchen facilities are good. Backyard and outdoor areas great. Secure fence for our well behaved dog was a bonus.

Fantastic for friends and family

This was a great place to stay. The property managers were really quick to respond and helpful. The house was great, with activities for both adults and children. Highly recommend this for anyone looking to stay in the Highlands region.

Amber Cottage far exceeded all our expectations. It was perfect in every way - Decor, amenities, cleanliness, lay-out, facilities, everything. It was perfect for our visit of 7 adults.We were celebrating our combined 60th birthdays with our adult children and everyone was so comfortable and enjoyed the stay. Perfect Winter Weekend!

Perfect home for hubby, myself, our adult and teen kids and our fur baby, Jazz. The home was spacious, beautifully decorated and had every comfort we could possibly want. We played, pool, darts and made great use of the kitchen and butler pantry. A short drive to Bowral and wineries. In short, we loved it and will be back!!

Beautiful House

We had a wonderful stay at Amber Cottage. 8 friends and a baby went away for Xmas in June and it was perfectly sized for our 2 night stay. The kitchen was fully equipped and everyone had a bed (no sleeping on sofa-beds or lounges). The house was extremely clean, lovely linen and towels and plenty of rugs around the house for if we got cold, albeit the central heating was great. Unfortunately we didn't get to use the outside area but the space looked great too. Thank you for offering such a well presented, welcoming home - we thoroughly enjoyed our time at Amber Cottage.

Amber Cottage in Bowral was a wonderful choice for four couples. Visiting in winter, we were initially concerned the house might be cold, but the central floor ducted heating kept the entire space beautifully warm, and the faux fireplace added a lovely, relaxing ambiance.The kitchen was impressively well equipped with plenty of cookware, and the separate pantry—with its large fridge—made storing food and supplies very convenient. Three of the four bedrooms were generously sized, while the fourth, although fitted with a king bed, only had space for smaller bedside tables. All the beds were exceptionally comfortable, and everyone enjoyed a great night’s sleep.The ensuite shower was extremely noisy when the taps were turned on, which we suspect may be a pressure‑valve issue—something to be mindful of if others are sleeping. The door from the back garden to the garage/games room didn’t lock, though the internal door to the kitchen did, so we weren’t overly concerned.Parking was excellent, with more than enough space at the front of the house for our four cars.Our interaction with the hosts was prompt, friendly and very helpful throughout our stay. Overall, Amber Cottage is a great option for a large family or group booking, and we would happily recommend it.

Weekend stay

The property was lovely and clean. Well thought out re set up and thoughtful provisions available. The only potential for improvement was the smell. There seemed to be an off smell throughout. Possibly a dead rodent under the floor boards. Otherwise it was absolutely lovely.
