Epic stay with family

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this amazing home. We had a power cut one night while staying here and the host was very accomodating in ensuring we were ok and gave an option to refund a night if we were to stay somewhere else. Highly recommend staying here.

Stunning spot

Winter stay .. but wonderful place to watch the weather come in , warm inside. But when the sun did shine great walks nearby , swam in the amazing clear water , and then great to warm up and rinse off under outside shower . Perfect place to star gaze and spot Matariki

Stunning views

What an absolute pleasure. No frills booking and check-in process. Walking into the house, you are greeted by the most amazing view of the bay - something woke up to as well as finished our days with. The beds were super comfortable and we had all the amenities at our disposal. I’m already looking forward to our next trip.

A truely magical Spot!

We felt very lucky to be able to stay in such a beautiful place. The position was simply stunning with the most gorgeous outlook that you could stare at all day. The home was so well done and felt really luxurious and very comfortable. It’s worth mentioning that that there is no cellphone coverage at the home. If you’re on one or 3 degrees you’ll get some when down at the beach or campground but spark had none at all until you drove 15 minutes or so.. The internet at the house wasn’t amazing as it’s ADSL so sometimes we just didn’t have any. But we managed . The owner was easily contactable and replied very promptly to any questions. A great week away in a gorgeous place. Thank you!

Mawhiti Beach House is fab!

Mawhiti Beach House is an excellent example of coastal chic - it has amazing views, access to two beautiful beaches and is very well appointed. This property and Matauri Bay are definitely worthy of a repeat visit.

Beautiful views, even in the rain

We had a great visit to Matauri bay with family. The weather didn't cooperate, but we were very comfortable and the beautiful views made the rain tolerable! Very well set up, clean with great communication. Thank you Katharine for sharing your lovely home.

The perfect escape

Situated on the hill within walking distance to the beach , looking out you feel like you are on a private island. The house has been beautifully appointed with all the facilities you might need and more. A very comfortable stay, we hope to return. Thanks for sharing your slice of paradise.

Brilliant in every sense

My family and I stayed at Mawhiti House for 3 nights, just before Christmas. Firstly, the house is truly incredible; as you enter through the front doors, you have an immediate view of the deck that reaches out to stunning views of the ocean. The house itself is an entertainers dream - the indoor/outdoor flow, coupled with the open plan living makes for a brilliant communal space where the inside meets the ocean. The beautiful white walls and marble throughout the bathroom gives a modern uptake on the beach cottage feel. Overall, we had a fantastic stay with nothing to fault. If you're looking for incredible sea views and an equally stunning home, then look no further.

Amazing property with stunning views!

Newly built with garden and landscaping still a work in progress, but the landlord did let us know in advance. Views are priceless from the deck and the modern house topped it off. Would love to come back again if possible!

Katharine is very nice and kind patient !house is very new and clean. we had fabulous weekend in her property, it’s stunning views and beach there! we had dolphins' family visiting us on the beach one morning. kids were so excited! house is unforgettable! We have already start to thinking should go back sometimes during the Xmas.

Wow!! This is fantastic holiday home.

This property is first class. Modern, great fit out , clean, everything you need is at hand and the view is to die for! Our kids learnt to snorkel in the bay below, we anchored our boat right in front of the batch with no issues. Snapper and crayfish for dinner all caught within sight of this beautiful property. Owners are extremely pleasant and tentative to the details that ensure a relaxing stress free holiday. If you were to build your own holiday home this would be the blue print.
