Great cabin getaway!

We stayed here for a long weekend and it was fantastic! My kids loved the air hockey/pool table and darts. The owners seemed friendly and sent info about the house and family friendly activities, check in, etc. before our stay. The house is well stocked and maintained so it lends to the coziness of the cabin. We hope to stay here again!

Perfect family destination for snow

Our family has not had a snow trip in almost 5 years. This cabin made the trip feel extra special. It was fully stocked with everything we needed. We were very close to Dodgeridge and the parking pass was an extra perk! Our pups were able to roam the deck, enclosed with a gate. We were all very comfortable and would love to come back

Great cabin clean and well-equipped. We are old high school buddies that get together every year. All over 75. We like the owner's attitude that it is a place to relax and enjoy. we took advantage of the mini pool table, the TV, and the nearby spots to hike. Hope to be back next year.

A fun getaway to the snowy mountains.

We absolutely loved this cabin in Cold Springs. We were just looking to do a quick 3 night trip with our kids and dog. We really wanted to get into some snow, as we live on the coast and our kids never get to see it lol! We had just enough to sled right in the backyard...so cool! Plus, we did a little jaunt up to Pinecrest Lake one day which was really beautiful. The cabin is in an ideal location, close to lots of activities. We were so impressed with the size of the home...plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms for us to spread out. The game room was popular of course. And the wood burning stove made it super cozy and warm. I really can't say enough. The owner, Tess, was lovely to work with and we did not have one issue or problem from start to finish. Highly recommend!

Perfect place to relax!

Such a great cabin for our group of ten! We had four adults and six kids ages 9-14 and we had plenty of room. We had one kid in the futon mattress on the floor in a bedroom and one kid on the couch in the game room and everyone else was in beds. The kitchen had everything we needed and the game room was a hit! (Minor detail: the scoring light is burned out on the pinball machine so you can't see the overall score. It was still fun!) We had snow at the cabin and the kids went sledding in the yard. The house was dog friendly too which was great since our dog is part of our family. I highly recommend!

Large cabin with room for big family!

I rented this cabin so my two adult children, their spouses & our two small grandchildren could all be together to enjoy pinecrest lake. There are so many things to do at the cabin no one was bored! Pool table, air hockey, pin ball, movies & vintage board games. Lots of room for everyone. Not set up for toddlers or younger but we brought a baby gate for use on the stairs & were fine. One issue was quickly resolved by Ralph & Tess who were great to work with & good communication. No internet but we loved that once we got used to it. 5 minutes to Pinecrest lake & large driveway to accommodate more than 1 vehicle. You will have fun here!

Lovely Cabin in the Woods.

Our family consisted of me and my husband, 2 adult sons and our daughter, her husband and their 6 month old baby. This was the perfect place for our group. Everyone had their own bedroom with a bathroom on each of the 3 floors. The two beautiful decks look out over the quiet, peaceful forest where we enjoyed several of our meals as the weather while we were there was perfect. When we had a question about the downstairs gas fireplace, Ralph was easily accessible by phone. The kitchen had everything we needed. The whole place was clean and welcoming, like being in our own home. One thing to note, you must take all your own trash and garbage with you. Although we could have taken it to the Pinecrest Dump, it is an extra charge of $11.15 a bag, which we opted to forgo and brought our bags home to dump. Overall, this is a wonderful property with comfortable beds and an amazing game room that anyone would enjoy, we would definitely stay again.

Great cabin

During these unprecedented times it was good to stay at a place with lots of entertainment. Tess & Ralph’s cabin did not fall short of that. The lower level had a pin ball machine, pool table, air hockey, Ms. PAC Man game and lots of movies. They also had an awesome collection of records which my mom & myself utilized & appreciated. The main floor (kitchen & family room) has no TV. Which gives you the opportunity to connect with friends & family. (Something that’s been missing in my life since March). The views were spectacular and it’s located in a quiet neighborhood. The only down fall was the heat but it was manageable. The WiFi was hit or miss but some days the connection was ok if you have Verizon. It was actually nice to be disconnected from the world for a short time. I would definitely stay at Tess & Ralph’s cabin again. I truly had the most amazing experience.

This was a great cabin! Stayed over for New Years weekend with my family and we had a blast. Given Covid restrictions and precautions, the owners did great with cleanliness and check in process. We also really appreciated the communication with the owners. It was so close to having to cancel our trip but the owners did such a great job with making our trip possible and keeping us informed. My siblings had a great time with the downstairs arcade and had a blast with the snow around the property. We went skiing and ate out with some recommendations that the owners left. Pre Christmas getaway

The Cabin that Ralph built was amazing! Communication with the owners was easy and very helpful. What a great location, we were able to sled and play in the snow right next to the cabin. The neighbor, Tony, was awesome and alerted us to all the potential hazards on the hill, he even opened his windows and played Christmas music for us while we played in the snow. The pool table, air hockey, Ms. Pac-Man and board games in the game room were a hit with the family. Very well appointed cabin. We had a great time!

Best Cabin Ever!

My family and I had SO much fun on this getaway. It was perfect because there were 3 couples so we each had our bedrooms and bathroom on all separate floors so there was plenty of space and privacy. We loved playing darts and pool in the evening. We also played games on the kitchen table while we took turns playing records from the wonderful collection they have! My family loves music so that was a real special treat. I was a bit worried when we got there because it was SO cold inside and there is no central heating, but it was no problem at all! The wood burning stove and gas fire place downstairs heat up the whole cabin!! The sunsets at night from the back deck were gorgeous. I loved the heaters in the bathrooms as well. We had a snow day one of the days and there is a fun hill to sled down right out back. The kitchen had more than enough appliances and the beds were super comfy! I could go on and on the place was just wonderful and I can only say great things about it!!

2021 has been a horrible year for our family. This getaway was just what we needed. We have come to Pinecrest annually for the past 30 years but never in the Fall, always Summer and Winter. Absolutely beautiful and NOT crowded! When we first walked in we liked your cabin, but the longer we stayed the more little niceties we noticed that showed that this cabin was made with love. The Record Nook, fancy blasting shower, flower petal prints, comfy couch, bathroom heaters and more! My husband and boys loved the Ms. Pacman and air hockey games. (We were bummed about the pinball machine not working).We spent our first full day there, remembering a lost loved one at the Strawberry River and then having the best pizza at Mia's. We spent our next full day there hiking around Pinecrest Lake and then cooking a Prime Rib and celebrating my son's birthday. He was especially happy that we could bring our dog. Everything was perfect, except that it went by too quickly. We'll definitely be back!

OLD FRIENDS REUNION

NICE PLACE, GOOD LOCATION CLOSE TO HIKES ALONG 108 WHICH WE LIKE TO DO.. POOL TABLE AND AIR HOCKEY PLUS DVDS GAVE US PLENTY TO DO AT NIGHT.
