Overview: Fully Remodeled Vacation Home with a nicely equipped kitchen featuring new Stainless Steel appliances, LED lighting and granite counter-tops with a breakfast counter. This 2 Bedroom (1 King Size Bed and second bedroom with either 2 Twins or a converted King), 1.5 Bath Condo is nicely decorated with comfortable stylish furnishings. Both bathrooms have been completely renovated and feature all new Moen fixtures and vanities.

The Office/Den in the front is a great location to setup your workstation and check in with work or family. Brand new Central A/C system installed in 2020 with upgraded air filters. New tiled floors throughout makes any room in this home comfortable and clean.
LOCATION: Moon Bay is in an excellent location at MM 104.3 on the Bay side. This Vacation property is conveniently located on the 2nd floor in Building A.
RESORT AMENITIES: Moon Bay features a large heated pool and a smaller wading pool for children. The sports area includes a Tennis Court, Basketball Court, Shuffleboard and more. The clubhouse features waterfront views, TV, Kitchen, Ping-Pong and two Saunas.
UNIT AMENITIES: Full size porch with ceiling fan for morning coffee or evening cocktail. Den area in the front of unit for a more quiet area to work on your computer at the desk area. Very comfortable and brand new living room furniture. The unit is equipped with the latest technology including a new 55" LED TV in living room and a 42' LED TV in the master bedroom. BlueRay/DVD is connected in the living room. Hi-Speed WiFi also available in the unit as well as public WiFi in the clubhouse and pool area. (MoonBay Outdoor & MoonBay Clubhouse)
CONVENIENCES: Key less coded door lock - no need to travel any further, or add any additional time to your travel, to pick up and drop off keys. This unit also features an assigned covered parking space to keep your vehicle cooler and you protected from the occasional tropical shower.
Climate Control: New ceiling fans in every room and a Locked Programmable Thermostat for optimal performance. Thermostat temperature can be manually overridden.
Simple Booking: VRBO payments and low Security Deposit. Book directly with Local Property Owner and onsite Property Manager for a more timely response. (Less than 1 hour!)

Key Largo is a great location for snorkeling. The property was very clean and the manager was available for advice about the area. It’s very close to snorkeling locations. We would choose this place again.

AMAZING

This location is in close proximity to absolutely everything!! To make things even better, the boat docks are a great place to spend your evening fishing or watching other people fish!! The resort is delightfully lit up in the evening time!! The pool is very relaxing and inviting. The host is very attentive with any needs wants and does his absolute best to accommodate. We will definitely be back!!

Great Family Vacation Over Christmas Holiday!

Another Great Stay at Moon Bay

We’ve stayed at Moon Bay fours or five times and it never disappoints. The location is wonderful and there’s never a lack of amenities at Moon Bay or a lack of things to do in the Keys. The sunsets are magnificent right from the dock at Moon Bay! People are super nice and the property manager was great. We’ve found a gem in Key Largo!

Key Largo - Fun

The property was exactly as advertised. The place was very clean and the added extras (paddles, pickleball equipment, fishing poles, etc.) were a nice surprise. I would recommend this location to anyone needing a sunny vacation in a prime venue. Kent was a great Host and we used his recommendations for local restaurants and pubs.

Kent's condo at Moon Bay is comfortable clean and very well appointed. It was exactly what we thought we would get by looking at the pictures and reading the description. Kent was the most responsive host and very accommodating. We couldn't have had a nicer stay. Highly recommended.

Great Spot in Key Largo

We had a great week. The condo was updated and well appointed. Kent was very responsive. This is our 5th time to Moon Bay and we love it. We prefer condos to a resort or hotel and I liked that the items that were provided to get us started were together on the kitchen counter so we know what we had and what we didn’t. We will be back for sure!

Very nice condo with friendly neighbors.

We stayed with our children. Our children loved fishing from the dock. The condo itself was nice. The only thing I didn't like was you couldn't see the water from the condo. Beds were comfortable. The condo has everything you could need. We plan on staying here again!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would come again. Encountered a few hiccups with the thermometer turning up to 85 degrees and not being able to adjust the auto set, but the owner quickly responded and was able to fix the issue before we returned back from our activities from the day. Rating 4 out of 5 because there was a strange musty odor when you walked in and that lasted during the stay. Almost smelled of sewage so we had to go purchase some air fresheners to help with it. Overall great experience and I would recommend to others.

Thank you for the feedback. It was unfortunate that the Programmable Thermostat for the A/C was incorrectly adjusted by a previous guest. This error in judgement caused the unit not to run the proper cooling schedule and the unit to be warm for your arrival. As you stated, we do pride ourselves on being super responsive to any concerns and were able to schedule our A/C technician to remedy the situation before you and your guest returned Saturday morning from your boat trip. A cover has been placed over the thermostat so the program can no longer be adjusted. Thanks again and we look forward to having you join us again. Kent

Beautiful Updated Condo in a Perfect Location

We thoroughly enjoyed our experience booking this vacation through VRBO. Kent was so helpful with great area information and attentive to all of questions. The condo is so nicely kept and was very clean. A few helpful items were left on the kitchen counter to help us when we arrived including Coffee! We loved spending time around the Kitchen Breakfast counter and relaxing on the balcony one morning when it was raining. Like many areas in the Keys, the complex is right off overseas highway but our friends in the front bedroom could not hear any road noise in the unit thanks to the new hurricane windows. We walked to and from some great restaurants and really enjoyed fishing from the Tiki Hut in the Marina. Thank you Kent for making our vacation stay perfect! We look forward to coming back in December.

The Moon Bay Resort was comfortable and easy access from HWY 1 and other activities.

Kent was very good at getting back to us with answers to any questions. The condo floors were under some renovation while we were there so they were partially completed. The floor will look very nice once completed. The condo itself fits four people comfortably, especially if you use the outside patio area. Remember there is no beach at the resort but it does have a beautiful pool and marina where you can sit and watch the gorgeous sunsets! John Pennekemp State Park is a few miles away which does offer a beach ($2.50 person). Snorkeling and scuba diving tours are available at the park. If you are at all queasy on a boat make sure you take your Dramamine! Keys are approximately 2 hour drive away from condo. Plenty of souvenir shops etc near as well. My husband and I plus 2 daughters (age 16 and 27) enjoyed our stay! Would stay there again!

Many pluses and minuses for this property. However, overall it reminded me of Student housing: Rode hard and put away wet. On the plus: Great responses from the owner. Easy Check-in Great pool Nice kitchen appliances and upgrade The minus side: Towels found in the dryer (on the third day) Needs maintenance: paint, baseboards, shredded curtains, general overall clean-up One roll of toilet paper in one bathroom No paper towels Towels found in the dryer (on the third day). Bin of dirty laundry(?) left in the hallway. Full body weight is needed to close the sliding glass door.

Our Vacation Home is our summer getaway when the children are out of school and us adults have time off. We now live full time in beautiful Key Largo.

Why they chose this property

We chose Moon Bay after renting a unit on property during Labor Day weekend of 2013. We did not end that vacation until we had an offer placed on the unit we currently own. After many upgrades and renovation of the kitchen and bathroom, it has truly turned into the perfect vacation home for our family. We take pride in our property and ask our guest to do the same. Please understand that this is our summer home that we rent when we are unable to use it and not a hotel.
