The place was perfect for our family gathering and fit for all ages. Kids enjoyed the games and toys and ping pong table. The adults enjoyed the screened in porch. Would definitely rent again.

Beautiful home

The porch was fantastic. The kitchen was a little lacking in cookware, but overall, it was a great place to stay.

Great house BUT not up to our cleanliness standards - read below

The house is really nice, good space and great location BUT one evening we came home to find a RAT scurrying into a hole in the bottom of the cabinets off of the kitchen! We did call the property management and they came out the next day to repair and plug up the hole but we don't feel that they made a big enough deal about a rodent being in the property. We slept upstairs that night because we were grossed out. In the 14 years that we have been renting houses and condos through vrbo or the kiawah island resort, we have never had to deal with a rodent in our property. Also, the screened in porch looked like it hadn't been cleaned in quite awhile - dust, dirt and a lot of cobwebs. Also a couple of days into our stay, something jarred grout or rocks from the fireplace and that made a mess in the living room area. We made management aware of that also but it didn't seem to disturb them either. It's really a shame that the care and management of the house is not comparable to others we have stayed at because it really is a nice house and a great location.

Thanks for your feedback. We do take your comments very seriously and as you mentioned, came out to address the issue as quickly as we could regarding the rat. Unfortunately, our records don't show that we were made aware of any other issues during your stay. We also do not show any records of any ongoing issue after our visit so we apologize if there was no follow up.

School vacation

This rental was a perfect fit for our two family vacation over February break. It’s as nicely appointed if not more so than the pics. We would definitely consider renting this lovely home in the future.

Great house and location, very quiet

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The driveway flooded each day during high tide, only an issue if you didn’t park the car right next to the steps, and if everyone can get in the car through the same door. Otherwise great house.

Family Beach Vacation

Very comfortable! Only thing that would have made it better is if the one queen bed was a king. We would definitely rent this property again. Close to the beach!!

Fantastic House!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: 30 Marsh Cottage Lane is a fantastic house with a great screened porch that backs to the marsh. We arrived to a house that had the exterior lights on and jazz playing. Nice touch! We were able to enjoy a visit by a Roseate Spoonbill on our last full day off the screened porch. Beach access could not have been any better; we had a 8-9 minute walk to the access or a short bike ride. Loved the bike paths and even saw an alligator on the bank by the pond close to the house! I especially enjoyed the beach where we saw a starfish and sand dollars that were still alive. Cannot say enough positives regarding this rental and location. Would definitely book this house again!

Great house

We had another magical Kiawah experience. The house was perfect for three couples, especially since all had their own bathroom. The screened in porch was a wonderful place for morning coffee and luscious seafood dinners.

Open and Airy

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great house for a family since there is one big open space between kitchen, dining and living rooms. The house had a "mountain house" type of feel with the exposed wood and stone. We could not figure out how to use the TV in the living room to watch regular TV but we were able to connect our laptop and watch movies on it. probably the input was not correct but we couldn't figure that out. Also, there were several light bulbs out way up on the rafters that we could not access to changes the main living areas were a little darker than they should have been. However, the bedrooms and bathrooms were perfect and very spacious and we would stay here again?
Response from VrboOwner on 4 Jul 2023
Thanks for your feedback! We would have been happy to assist with the tv during your stay if we had known you were having trouble. We will have our maintenance team replace any bulbs as needed. We hope you enjoyed your stay!

Quiet location on Kiawah

Spacious, comfortable home away from busier areas of Kiawah. Nice to have a kitchen that was not lacking in needed implements. One of the few places we’ve stayed that had satisfactory wine glasses. Stayed over week of NCAA finals and only reason for 4 star was lack of HD tv and some stations, ie. ESPN. Agency handling the rental (Akers & Ellis) did a very professional job providing all the information necessary for a non-problematic stay.
