About this property

Ideal location in Collins Lake, close to pool with views of Forest & the Slopes

This home is one of the premier units in the resort. Completely rebuilt in 2008 it offers additional sound insulation, topnotch finishes, Wifi, smart tv, and iphone and accessory charger. It is close to the year-round outdoor heated swimming pool, hot tub, and soaking tub but shielded from the noise! It is a short walk from Government Camp village shops and restaurants. Located near Ski Bowl there are shuttle services for winter and summer activities as well as to historic Timberline Lodge.
The Primary has a King size bed and view of the forest along with a flat-screen TV. The Guest has a Queen size bed and a flat-screen TV with DVR. The third bedroom has triple full-size bunks.
The very well-appointed kitchen is loaded for your use. The dining table seats 12, with 3 leather barstools providing additional seating. Guaranteed you won't run out of spoons or bowls or wine glasses.
The Living room looks out at the forest with a plush leather couch, flat screen TV, DVR, and gas fireplace. There is a covered deck with a gas grill and corner couch for enjoying the view. The heated garage has plenty of hooks for hanging your gear, couch and camping chairs to watch any competition on the ping-pong table . The unit is equipped with Wifi
The resort clubhouse right next door also has free WiFi and an oversized fireplace.
We have information including local brochures and menu guides in a binder as well as a well loved copy of the classic guide 100 Hikes in Northwest Oregon.
There is a Ring camera at the front entrance for security purposes only.
Whether you ski, hike, or simply want to relax in the fresh mountain air, this comfortable, clutter-free home is the perfect getaway.

Great place for wedding lodging

We had a big family in for a wedding Collins Lake resort was great place to stay. multiple families in their own space but close enough to easily gather and find each other.

Wonderful home away from home

The owner was extremely responsive and helpful. All items and amenities were as stated. I appreciated the open communication & helpful responses. The pools were all up and running - don’t miss the adult pool up in the woods. ;)

Great getaway

Our time here was delightful. Skiing is close, hot tub and pool were great ways to end the day and the home was clean and spacious. The garage was perfect for our gear after a day on the slopes. We hope to return as the distance to the airport makes this a perfect get away!

My Hood Getaway

My husband and I took our five grandkids up to Government Camp for the weekend. The space was perfect- they loved the pool & hot tub. We even had a snow ball fight!

Spacious condo in beautiful environs

This worked out great both as a jumping off point for exploring the Mount Hood and Columbia Gorge area and as a place to hang in for meals and conversation. Colleen wax incredibly good about quick, helpful responses to questions.

Wonderful property for a family vacation. Lots of space, big beds for 10 (2 in each). Quote "this is nicer than our house". Well stocked kitchen and everything clean and modernized. Loved out stay here and would definately come back. Thank you Colleen and family for sharing your space.

We had a great time. Property was perfect for us, we even had some room to spare (family of 6). Host was very responsive. Location was perfect, there was even a sled hill on-site! Property description was spot on. Highly recommend!

Comfortable, cozy condo

We've stayed in Collins Lake before but this was our first time in this unit. Great location by the pool, great shortcut to the large hot tub in the trees. Another bonus was we were plowed first in the morning before the side street units. Since there was 8 inches of fresh snow and we drive a minivan this made getting out and to the slopes much easier. Plus the mountain made by the snow plow was a very convenient sledding hill! The kids loved the triple bunk bed and the large selection of games. The master mattress was very comfortable and the towels very plush. The only negatives were the saute pans provided were rather beat up teflon. Not unusual for rental properties but I'd love to see a stainless steel pan. And a coffee grinder would have been awesome. Other than that it was a great trip and we would love to book your unit again!

Perfect Mountain Summer Get Away

Hiked, biked, explored historical points of interest, shopped and ate our way around the Mount Hood and Hood River areas. This was the perfect base from which to launch our daily adventures and return home to a comfy and super clean spot, pool and hot tub were great, as was the easy walk to restaurants and ice cream and more. Can’t wait to return next year!

A wonderful place close to Mt. Hood

The kitchen is well stocked. We cooked our breakfast and dinner without buying any seasonings. The space is so big for our party (3 adults 2 teens). Everyone had a good rest after skiing at Mt. Hood.

Perfect Mt Hood Family Rental

WOW. Gorgeous townhouse right in the heart of Government Camp, Oregon! The checkin process was seamless, the home was spotless and stocked with all the comforts of home. There’s plenty of room for families to spread out, our kids LOVED their bunk room, and the ping pong table was perfect for evening tourneys. there were dozens of board games as well, perfect for entertaining the kids when we weren’t on the slopes. If that wasn't enough, the community pool and hot tubs were another highlight and even open for use during the snowstorm! As far as the location, if you’re doing anything on Mt Hood, whether in Govy, Timberline, Meadows or anywhere between, this cabin is perfectly located. We can’t wait to return!! Great location, gorgeous and clean unit, fantastic hosts—what more could you need?

Location, location, location

Great condo, great location, close to the hot tub and “downtown” government camp. The garage parking is super nice, well stocked kitchen, really couldn’t ask for a better place to stay. Hosts were super friendly and check in and out was a breeze.

August Stay
