We loved everything about this home. The extremely large screened back porch is such a relaxing atmosphere looking out over the water. We spent most of our time here. The house is very spacious to host a large family with lots of fun activities that kept us entertained throughout our stay. And the lake's temperature was perfect!

Perfect place to gather our family together for a week! The home is lovely, immaculately clean, well-equipped, super comfortable beds, and in a beautiful peaceful location. Janet is a super host, responsive and helpful. Check in couldn’t be easier and there are binders with local suggestions and any other information you might need. We all enjoyed the kayaks and paddle boards

Great time in Virginia!

We had a great time. The house was amazing. The host was incredibly attentive to any of our questions. The directions left for us, the labels in the house, the amenities were all fantastic. We had a blast! We would stay here again.

Perfect getaway for our family

We had a lovely long weekend on the lake with our family of five! The house had everything we could possibly need. We especially enjoyed time on the water with the kayaks and paddle boards. We took day trips to Culpeper and Fredericksburg and spent relaxing afternoons by the water, with home-cooked meals prepared in the well-stocked kitchen. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Beautiful property

3 couples stayed here for a week. We were able to have our own bathroom. Enjoyed relaxing on the back deck, screens kept the bugs out. Convenient to groceries and in a nice gated community.

Lake of the woods

What a beautiful community and home. The house was equipped with everything we could have possibly wanted. The kids had a blast kayaking and exploring the close by beaches. The hosts were lovely and made our stay so easy with helpful information. We will definitely return!

Civil War Family Trip

Strategically located to explore many battlefields in the area - topped it off with a final trip to Appomattox Court House. It was great to end each day back at Janet’s lovely home to rest and relax. This is the second time that I’ve stayed here. Upon entering, it felt like coming home. It is a very comfortable home. If I’m ever in the area, I would definitely stay here again. Janet is very attentive and quick to respond to questions.

Perfect location/space and very clean place for our family get together.

This house was exactly what we needed for our family to spend a week with my daughter and her family who lives in LOW. The grandkids were in the water in the big lake every day and we were able to see our local grandkids in the LOW Ski Show. The house was very clean and well stocked with kitchen items, bath towels, etc. Everything we needed.

We had a very nice week. The house was big enough for 7 adults. Just 2 things. Would have been nice to have a third paddle board and the water advisories were a concern. I recommend this vacation house. Owners quick to reply.

If only it hadn’t rained

We were so glad that we booked a house with enclosed porch since it rained almost everyday we were there. My daughter and DIL enjoyed the paddle boards and the lake in spite of the weather. Even though the house is not baby proof we still had a great time with our grandson.

Thanksgiving with family

We came to spend Thanksgiving with family in LOW. This house was very close to them, and we are so happy that it was available for booking. The house was everything advertised and more. There was a homey feeling to it as soon as you walked in. We dealt with Janet and she was just great! Very responsive to questions. I would definitely rent this house again for other family trips to LOW.

Beautiful!

This is a wonderful house in a very tranquil setting. The beds are all incredibly comfortable and we slept like babies. The kitchen is well equipped and the water supplies like the noodles, paddle boards, and kayaks were exactly what we were looking for. Everything in the house is clearly labeled making it easy to find anything and Janet made check in as breeze. She was also very attentive to our every need. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Unwinding at the Lake

Our first visit to Lake of the Woods was wonderful. The house was very clean, we were provided an abundance of towels, small appliances to cook pretty much anything we wanted, and plenty of sitting and lounging for everyone. Our host, Janet, answered our questions promptly and was able to give us good suggestions for everything we wanted to do. Check in was a breeze and we were able to relax from the very start. We’ll definitely be back and hopefully will be able to rent this house again.
