The Barn Apartment at Avon Acres - Amazing View, incredible Sunsets and HOT TUB!

***Hot Tub!***

The apartment is on the second floor of a large barn-house. It features a bright and airy open floor plan with two bedrooms and a full bath. Access is through the entry and staircase off the carport on the ground level, but there is no access to the large garage space below.

There is a large deck with a spectacular view facing west, which looks out across several miles of open fields and farmlands and Mt. Erie. It is especially great for wildlife viewing and sunsets. There are several acres for outdoor play, as well as a large fully fenced backyard with a pond which is accessible from the back deck. There is covered parking for one vehicle, as well as uncovered parking for several more.

We welcome well-behaved dogs, but we do ask the following:
-tell us about your dog(s) at time of booking
-please pick up after your dog
-dogs must be in a crate if left unattended in the house
-dogs stay off couches and beds
-owners are responsible for any damage or pet stains
-$10/dog/night fee

New Years trip

Our second time staying here was just as great. Quiet, peaceful, relaxing. Nice big table for games with the family and beautiful views out the back deck. Hope to stay again sometime soon!

Great spot between Seattle, Vancouver, and the North Cascades National Park.

Clean, simple, and farm friendly! The kids enjoyed the spacious bedroom and living room/kitchen. They also enjoyed feeding the goats and sheep.

Another wonderful weekend at Avon Acres

This was our third stay at Avon Acres, and our first in the barn apartment. The space is clean, comfortable, and functional, the views are lovely (so many swans!), and the kitchen is very well appointed. 5/5 will come again :)

Home away from home

Absolutely incredible place well equipped with everything we needed for our 15 month old. I was surprised with the amount of toys! Everything was spotless and the rooms were super spacious, especially with the pack n play for our kiddo. I only wish we would have used the hot tub more, but that was super clean as well! The grandparents even decided to join us on the trip last minute and it didn't feel crowded at all. Definitely top 2 favorite stays we've had in the past 10 years and fantastic first family vacation with the baby :)

Wonderful stay for NW adventures

This property had everything we needed and more! We had a great base camp very near tulips, fun La Conner food and riverwalking, and some very nice San Juan state park views. The property was centrally located in a beautiful country setting and had very comfortable beds and lots of wonderful amenities like a hot tub and walk-in shower. They also supplied a few bins of fun toys for our 2 and 4 year old to enjoy. Owners were very responsive for questions - overall a wonderful stay!

Mount Vernon Barn Apartment

The finished area over the barn was fantastic. Two nice bedrooms, good sized bathroom and large kitchen/open area. Sliding door to balcony with great sunsets over the San Juan’s. Large property with fenced in grass area and sheep/goat pen. Was perfect for our group.

This is a lovely property - a charmingly updated "barn house" property, very neat and clean. Unfortunately, it wasn't advertised that you had to ascend steep and dangerous stairs to get to it. Also, the deck had a hole that seriously needed repair. Smallish overall but good gathering spaces. .

Amazing

The home was very clean. As this is one of the first trips out since Covid, my husband and I were very concerned about finding just the right place. This place totally fits the bill! Amazing views. Farmland all around including chickens and goats. Even though it rained off & on while we were there, when the sun did come out it provided for amazing sunsets from the deck. Kitchen was fully stocked as well. We found it very warm & cozy with a host who was very responsive. We would highly recommend!

private, country retreat

From beginning to end this place was perfect. First impression was striking with the view from the back deck looking out over the fields and mountains with a sunset view. The hosts had a welcome bottle of wine which was so nice to enjoy on the deck. It was clean, open, bright and had plenty of space for us to even have our extended family for dinner one evening. The hot tub was also very relaxing. Alex was a very gracious host even when I got mixed up on what day we were to check out! I think I was so relaxed and didn't want to leave. We appreciated his kindness. Overall great place!

We got our check in information a little later but he sent it before we arrived and then we came to a surprise of the bathroom looking so clean and remodeled. This stay is a treat. Take care of it

Barn Charm !

What beautiful space has been carved out in the loft of a barn. All the comforts of home with all the delights of a farm … awesome views, animals to visit, and wonderful attractions nearby. We had a most delightful stay!

Peaceful Reprieve!

This lovely barn home was a perfect respite from our outings in the area. Great location with beautiful trees surrounding the property, clean inside and out, and hosts very friendly! Note: TV functions using Roku, and while hosts allow log-in's to select apps using their codes, you may want to bring (or remember) your own for other streaming apps. We ditched TV and instead enjoyed streaming music using provided speaker. Remember, stairs lead to the unit so be prepared to carry items up/down them (wide and carpeted). Overall a fun & unique way to enjoy the Skagit Valley!
