We were 3 friends travelling together and enjoyed the 3 bathrooms and bedrooms being in different parts of the house. No need to take the car for shopping or eating out.
Kitchen was well equipped, the place was quiet and the atrium and patio made it perfect as a place to stay for a holiday.

Bonjour,
We did make all possible when you advised us about the breakdown of the machine, which is not old at all. But we could not have it repaired immediately, which might happen. I apologize for this. All devices function well, and we have a very good and comfortable layout of the house. Hosts are very satisfied and like to come again .
Nous avons passé un excellent week-end avec un temps magnifique. La location est formidable et extrêmement propre, située à deux pas de tout. Le contact avec la propriétaire a été très agréable ainsi que l'accueil lors de la remise des clés. Je recommande cette location.

Beautiful area of France
We enjoyed a gloriously peaceful stay at this lovely house in Ars. As there was only two of us and a large dog we had plenty of space. The internal courtyard is very pretty and perfect for catching the late September sun, as is the upstairs terrace in the early evening. The island has beautiful beaches and we cycled a lot with the dog in an enormous carrier on the front. The house is 2 minutes from the centre and 5 minutes from the Port where we were able to buy the freshest fish and produce. It was most relaxing and we would definitely revisit Ars.

Charming holiday home. Idyllic island
We had a fabulous 2 weeks on the beautiful Ile de Re and our little home-from-home in Ars en Re made it all the more special. We were a group of six and although the house is not big, it felt spacious, and was a great place to return to after a day's cycling, or sightseeing. We went regularly to the beach at Phare Des Baleines, which is a 25-minute cycle ride across the salt flats from the house. There was never more than 5 or 6 people on the beach there - bliss. There are many lovely places to eat in Ars and the other towns nearby, and the kitchen in the house is really well-equipped for those nights you want to cook. A fabulous holiday - we'll definitely return.

Nice house in great location
We have stayed here twice now (once in 2008 & again this year). The house is in a great location near the village centre and a few minutes walk from the port and market in Ars. House is well equipped, sleeps 8 comfortably and has a very private internal courtyard which catches the sun from different angles throughout the day.
The owner will probably have some flexibility on price if less than 8 people are staying.
The village of Ars is beautiful and an ideal location for exploring the beaches and villages in top half of the island by bike (which everyone does).

Great property - fabulous location
Just come back from a week in this property. We were 3 couples and appreciately that each double room had its own bathroom and some privacy between rooms. Twin room is rather dark - the occupants were knicknamed "the hobbits" . Fabulous central courtyard which is a real sun trap and is where we had every one of our meals iduring our stay. BBQ was an electric grill so we bought disposable BBQ from local Super U. Well equipped accommodation with 2 fridges and plenty of dishes and glasswear. Hire bikes as soon as you get here - everyone does. Highly recommended holiday.

I was an active woman, with an urban life, living in Paris,Lyon and now I just retired .We live now in Provence, and often stay on the Ile de Ré as well .These are two wonderful places to stay ! 25 years ago, I looked for a natural and refined place to enjoy holidays and week-ends at seaside. I would like you to enjoy as well at home the spirit and the way of life of l'île de Ré.
Why they chose this property
Ile de Ré is a marvellous place, and especially the village of Ars. My family has been there on holidays for 40 years now. Ars is lively the whole year, with the sea life, and the village life .I wished to feel well integrated in the village life, and after having visited many houses, this house was evident .Quiet, luminous, with its secret patio and terrace.... I renovated my house so that,in addition of being in a well decorated house, you also feel as really being in your house of the island,as if you've always been here .
What makes this property unique
Once you've arrived,by plane, train,or car,you can forget your car and walk and ride with your bike.Everything is so close, the beaches, the small harbour, the market, the shops, the cafés and restaurants. It is easy for every one, adult or child to have various activities, not far from home. Daily life will be very simple to organize .You will appreciate the patio and terrace, quiet, sun or shadow as you wish, windless and warm even in winter. The atmosphere is warmful and authentic, and staying at home is a good way to discover the ile de ré way of life, rest or have a very active time !
