Perfect family get away

The owners could not be more helpful leading up to our stay. We had a combined family visit for a birthday milestone following lockdown being over. We all had a great time, it’s scenic quiet and comfortable. The pool is private and secluded and the peacock was just an added extra. Comfortable home with everything you need.

Wonderful getaway

We had a fabulous time at Hathaway house. The house is located within a short 8 minute drive to Bowral centre. There is feeling of space everywhere you look Beautiful property with all necessary amenities in an idyllic setting. We stayed here with 5 couples over the June long weekend and thoroughly enjoyed our time here The manager Sara was helpful in every way possible and nothing was too difficult for her. The consensus was that we would definitely come back in a heart beat maybe in summer when we could use the pool Natalie

Family wedding stay

This stunning property was perfect for my family for the weekend of my daughters wedding. All our needs were met, all bedrooms are spacious and comfortable. Bathrooms are clean. Kitchen is well equipped. The gardens are spectacular to have a stroll through and what a bonus to see the resident peacock. We even had a chance to use the pool. All in all a wonderful stay that we didn’t want to leave.

Beautiful home surrounded by nature

Gorgeous property surrounded by spacious gardens. So quiet and peaceful and the perfect place to relax with family. Loved meeting the resident peacock who carelessly wandered around the garden. The pool is heavenly. Thank you Hathaway House!

A fantastic experience from start to finish

As the photos indicate, the accommodation is absolutely stunning. The abundance of space and rooms provide an elevated sense of luxury. We were in Bowral for a friends wedding where the timing presented difficulties and the hosts were effortlessly accomodating in helping us check in early to make the wedding ceremony on time. The Kitchen is very well equipped, more equipped than you’ll ever need, and the entertainment areas are very pleasant to just enjoy the serenity. Will definitely be visiting again if we find ourselves in Bowral again.

An Idyllic break

We spent an idyllic week here with our extended family. 2 grandparents, 4 parents (2 of which are architects so difficult to please!) and 3 children. The house has a big role to play in keeping all three generations happy. Separate living rooms for those look for quieter pursuits and a range of dining spaces that seat us all at meal times. A beautiful kitchen to cook in - everything at your fingertips with plenty of bench and storage space. But the real star of this property is the gardens. Designed for the senses you sink into the couch with the sound of running water from the fountains. The house is called Hathaway and the walk through the avenue of trees up to the pool gates reminds me of the mansion in Great Expectations. A peacock wandered into the garden and stood in the pathway setting up the perfect insta shot. Seriously, a peacock! The pool is also a fantastic size and well removed from the house so the sound of squealing splashes doesn’t disturb those having a quiet afternoon. The trampoline and tree house fort gave the children a great week long adventure. Whilst we were aiming for some screen free time the wi-fi throughout the house (and pool) and well set up tv with easy access Netflix / abc iview etc led to great family movie nights. We will be back again!

A tranquil, beautiful getaway

Our family of four plus 2 dogs stayed at Hathaway House over a long weekend. The house is very large and lovely, and the gardens are beautiful. Ducted r/c air conditioning kept the house cosy and warm in winter. We can’t wait to go back sometime!

A special place

Hathaway way beautifully presented and exceeded our expectations in every way. Despite having grandparents, grandkids and everyone in between, Hathaway catered for everyone's needs. The gardens are amazing and provided a wonderful space for the kids to explore. The house and gardens provided numerous quiet spots for the adults to retreat and relax. Hathaway is a special place and we will definitely be returning.
