We had the best stay at Ben Huon Manor. The host was so hospitable and welcoming to us on arrival. Warm on a cool, rainy weekend and impeccably clean. Thank you James for having us!
This is a fantastic property for a group of 10 friends to stay. The house in an excellent location (15 minute walk to Robertson Main Street), and has all the facilities needed to fully relax. BBQ, bath, open fire place, great dining space and kitchen. James was amazing! He met us on checkin and did a tour of the property, then he left us with the most incredible charcuterie board. Great linen and towels, comfy beds, a really enjoyable place.
This property was a joy to stay at, and a very unique experience especially with all the antique furniture. It feels like you're back in the 1800's (but of course with all the mod cons!). The gardens are like being in the English countryside. James, the host, was super lovely and communicated very well throughout the process. You will not be disappointed with a stay at Ben Huon, I assure you!
I booked the Ben Huon Manor to celebrate my mother’s birthday, and it truly was the most magical experience. The property itself is breathtaking — every corner radiates beauty and thoughtful detail. Our host, James, went above and beyond in every way. His kindness, passion, and incredible attention to detail made our stay feel so special and full of heart.Thank you, thank you, thank you, James — you created memories my family will treasure forever. I couldn’t recommend the Manor more highly, and we will most certainly be back. With gratitude,Nikita
Pack your brooch, and your inner Lady Crawley, as you sip champagne overlooking what could easily be mistaken for the lush grounds of Downtown Abbey. While Mr Carson will not be there to greet you on arrival, the lovely James will, complete with a smile and an umbrella - should the weather turn. However, rain and storms alone cannot mar what is pure excellence at every turn. The elegant and stylish ambience of Ben Huon Manor would even satisfy the fussy standards of Mr Darcy (not to mention my own). Yet it is the abundance of generosity and charm that makes it a winner. On arrival, you will be provided with a personalised tour of the manor by James, followed by a decadent cheese platter the size of a small apartment (with a generous amount of crackers - unlike the meagre portions allowed by most Sydney bars). A chilled bottle of Veuve follows as you consider the next piece of cheese before a crackling fire. A country style basket of goodies for breakfast awaits you - fresh eggs, bacon, salmon and (yes) Pepe Saya butter – oh joy.As I relaxed in my stately room, examining my glamorous bathroom and contemplating whether Jon Snow would appear over my gothic balcony, I enjoyed my bedside chocolate with glee. While the Southern Highlands boasts many stately homes and an abundance of luxurious accommodation, Ben Huon distinctly transports you to a bygone era in the English countryside. Elegance, charm, generosity, comfort and plenty of cheese - what more could one ask?
