Sweet Vacay for Family

Our family loved the River Barn and all the amenities. My wife and I relaxed while the kids enjoyed the Cullasaja. The location is very convenient to Highlands and the many nearby Waterfalls. The host was very respectful and quick to respond. Very sweet weekend getaway!

Wonderful and Peaceful Retreat

This property is a gem! The peaceful, inviting and warm surroundings of the home and property were all wonderful! We miss hearing the relaxing sound of the river already and will visit again in the near future. Thank you, Kangee!

Beautiful riverside oasis!

Wonderful place to enjoy the serenity of the mountains but have access to waterfalls, hiking, and amenities. The river was incredible. We didn’t do nearly as much in the surrounding area because it was so beautiful. Kangee was such a great resource for all the area had to offer. Miss it already.

Perfect getaway.

Kangee is a fabulous person and her place reflects that. The internet is a bit slow, but other than that we had a great stay. Kangee is so accommodating and helpful for anything you need.

The host of this property was very pleasant and helpful. The river in the back of the house and the screened in back porch was the highlight of the trip. The descriptions of the interior and exterior were not accurate.One of the bedrooms had a king and a queen in one area. Not two separate bedrooms. The other”bedroom” downstairs would have been ok for a small child. No closet or ceiling fan.The upstairs bedroom had 2 large skylights and windows. The 2 windows had a make shift curtain on them. The skylights made is SO BRIGHT in the morning. Woke up when the sun came up.The kitchen was unorganized without a dishwasher. Vrbo listed a dishwasher. No room to put our essentials…. Ended up using the table in the middle of the kitchen.The outside fire pit was not usable. The chairs were old and not stable. There were not any tubes to float in as the pictures on show.

This place is wonderful in every way!!!!

I highly recommend this place. The owner is very thoughtful and prompt. She sees to it that your stay is a wonderful vacation. The area is beautiful; and the renovated barn is clean and fabulous. The rental is SOOO fully stocked; everything you need plus some. The sound of the rushing river that can be heard even inside the house is a lullaby from God. All I can say is wonderful in every way!!!!!!

Just relax!

This place is one of the coolest places we have ever stayed and everything was so relaxing. The uniqueness of the Barn was unbelievable. The host went above and beyond to make sure our stay was unforgettable and unforgettable it was!! It is set up to accommodate a family but if you want another honeymoon style getaway, then this is the place. We stayed a week and were very content to stay at the Barn. We did venture out some but we enjoyed just hanging out and enjoying all the Barn had to offer. We will be back.

Slice of heaven

This property made all our jaws drop when we arrived. The pictures do not come close to portraying the serenity and beauty of this location. My 9 and 10 yr loved playing by the water and fishing. My husband and I could just relax and listen to the water. It is about 24 minutes to highlands mountain fresh, 55min to NOC, and 50min to hike the AT! Great location.

More than we ever hoped for !!

The pictures were beautiful, but the real view was more than we ever hoped for!! Our host , Kangee, thought of everything. She truly went the extra mile to make sure our experience was wonderful. The barn is unique and the sound of the river rocked us to sleep at night. The skylights above our bed held the moon most beautifully!!! I know I’m sound overboard but really one of our best vacations ever!!

WOW !!!!!

My husband and myself wanted a relaxing week away from home and our business, we planned for a month of all the things we were going to do and see…..needless to say we only left the barn for 1 day. We didn’t want to waste any of our time away from this amazing place!!!! We enjoyed just walking the beautiful property, sitting by the fire at the river side and hanging inside. Thank you Kangee for sharing this wonderful place with us, if it were mine, it would definitely be hard to share. We will be back in 2023 I can guarantee!!!!!

Serenity and Pure Bliss

From the moment you walk in you feel the love and hugs from all the detail Kangee has put into her home. We have been reserving properties all over for 17 years and this one, we will definitely come back to. The extras she supplies are over the top.. The sheets and towels are softer and more luxurious than our own house. There is coffee, gourmet spices, fancy soaps, firewood. The fire pit by the river was a huge hit every evening. We also had cocktails by the magnificent fireplace inside too. A big win for me is no bugs too! A truly magical place that won’t disappoint. Kangee rocks!

Look no further, this is Shangri-La

The Barn beats even the Presidential suite at the Mandarin Oriental in San Francisco, where we’ve stayed. The Barn is secluded, eclectic, romantic, and extremely relaxing. Neither of us have slept that well in years. We were so worried about the weather, because of thunderstorms and rain. Turns out, we spent hours on the huge screened in porch with its tin roof and large hammock. It’s magical, the sound of the river and the rain. And then the outdoor hot tub was an unexpected delight. Perfect setting and privacy. Truly an awesome way for us to end our days of hiking or shopping. Plenty of both nearby. Oh, don’t bring your pillows. The linens, towels, pillows, and bed were all out of this world. Finally, Kangee is the best Superhost yet. Very patient, provides a 20 page list of things to know, do, hiking, shopping, groceries, even fishing. The Barn is heaven. We are returning in August. Pops & Kitty

Perfect Fall Getaway!

We had the most incredible experience staying at this property. It was an absolute slice of paradise! From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the natural beauty surrounding us. The location was absolutely breathtaking. The house is down in a bottom with a stunning view of the river. We couldn't have asked for a more serene and peaceful setting. The sound of the flowing water was the perfect backdrop to unwind and relax. The barn itself was a cozy and charming retreat. It was well-equipped with all the amenities needed, from a fully stocked kitchen to the most comfortable beds. And so, so, so clean. Not a speck of dust anywhere; this was definitely the best scrubbed place we've ever stayed. Standing ovation to the cleaning crew. The highlight of our stay was the outdoor space. The cabin had a lovely screened in deck with plenty of space for the four of us to hang out and enjoy the picturesque view. Plus lots of comfy seating down by the river where we read, listened to the river, and toasted marshmallows in the fire pit. The host is so friendly and super responsive, making us feel welcome and ensuring we had everything we needed. Overall, our stay at River Love at the Barn was a dream come true and we can't wait to go back!

My family had a wonderful get- away at River Love. It is truly a special and unique place. My Children range from 8-21 and there was fun for everyone. The Area is absolutely beautiful and the river off the back porch Magical. They swam and fly-fished. We laughed and relaxed... Hope we can visit again in the future...

Peaceful respite

Wonderful Stay
