Hi Charlotte, sorry you felt the house is "dated" and "stale". The furniture inside is less then 2 years old, the bunk beds and queen mattress less then 3 months old. The house is only 9 years old from being built so its not a "dated home". There is nothing wrong with the style of the bathrooms or kitchen and they are exactly as the photos show which were taken in 2022. Im sorry if the house was not to your personal taste. I would recommend looking at property photos carefully in future to ensure the decor, colourings and style are to your personal preference. The house doesnt smell like "wet dogs" the house is on the marina so the smell you were experiencing was the fresh smell of the marina/ocean/salt. Perhaps being from inner suburbs your not familiar with ocean smells? Im not sure how the towels smelled like cigarette smoke when non of us smoke nor do any of my cleaners. The only thing I could think of if they did infact smell smokey would be if they were exposed to smoke during the burn offs. Had you contacted me on arrival or at all during your stay I would have been more then happy to drop off replacement towels as I only live 15 minutes away.
