Beachside Retreat Cowes - short walk to the beach

Upstairs you will find the fully equipped modern kitchen, stylish open plan dining and lounge area with large light filled windows and sliding door leading onto the deck which is perfect for alfresco dining and taking in bay views. There is also a bedroom with queen bed and bathroom with separate toilet.

The lower level offers a second lounge which opens up onto a rear courtyard, offering a private retreat with space to relax in the sun with a coffee and good book.

The lower level also has two bedrooms, one with queen bed and the other with 2 sets of bunks, family bathroom and also the laundry complete with washing machine and dryer.

The property has split system heating and cooling for your comfort and the double car garage has a table tennis table and soccer table for your enjoyment. Whilst the garage cannot be used for parking there is space in front of the garage and a parking spot to the front of the property.

The property is pet friendly (by application only, conditions apply) so your four legged friend can come and enjoy the holidays with you, but must remain off of the furniture and must not go in any bedrooms.

The property is located in a small secure community with dual gated access and resort style facilities including in-ground heated pool and community BBQ and eating area and is located only a short stroll from the Cowes foreshore beach.

With free Wifi and plenty of space for the entire family, you will want to come back again and again!

Perfect for families

We only stayed one night and weren't in the house much, but it is a perfect location and could easily host 2 families (4 adults, 4 kids) for a week or more without feeling too small. Walking distance from the local town centre and the beach and immaculately clean.

FABULOUS LOCATION & LAYOUT

We had a lovely stay at the Unit, enjoying BBQ meals, lovely view from upstairs, and easy walks to shops and restaurants. The spacious upstairs was delightful! Beds were comfy, and the heating great when it rained for 3 days! Very pleasant unit!

Disappointed

The property is in a great location. The Property Managers where a huge disappointment. I called them on the first day because there was air conditioning remote for the downstairs area and the weather was extreme hot. The issue was not followed up and I called numerous times to no avail. We did not use the downstairs area at all except to sleep, which was very uncomfortable. We then had heavy rains and the downstairs area was like a water feature. The roof was leaking through the down lights and we had to spend time cleaning it up and now we had no lights in the lounge as we were too scared toe use them with the water dripping through them. The courtyard area downstairs is not like it was advertised. It was full of weeds. On the second last day after numerous calls, they offered to move us to another location, we declined and left a day earlier to come home. The last thing you want to do on holidays is to be calling the property managers daily with complaints and not having your issues dealt with.

Excellent location (walk to beach and town) with two large separate living areas (one for kids, one for adults?). Communication and check in process are excellent too. However, property decor needs an update and cleanliness was an issue. (There were a few spiders and cockroaches when we were in the property?) Poor quality and insufficient linen as well. If the maintenance issues can be sorted out, this would be a property I recommend.

Great location

While linen and towels were clean, we suspect the home hadn't been used in a while. The plumbing was smelly (a thorough run through of bathroom drains efore having tenants would have sorted this). Kitchen contents were not clean, including a fine dusting of maybe ant repellent powder all through the saucepan cupboard. We had to wash everything before use. We also could not use the car park as the remote control for the automatic gate didn't work. The location and bedrooms and living rooms were all great. The table tennis set up was an unexpected bonus. This has the potential to be a great holiday let but cleanliness of the kitchen and bathrooms, and a working auto gate control, let it down for us as it was not cheap overnight accommodation. The lack of response to our complaint back to the managing agent was very disappointing too.

Great Location but improvement required

Location was fabulous but some simple comforts were missing. Main gripe was the 2 main beds were on wheels on tiled floor so they were unstable and swung around at every slight movement. Made things even more difficult with us both having babies with us in the room. Beds were also fairly uncomfortable on the whole. Dishwasher powder was empty so we had to wash all dishes by hand. Few simple additions to kitchen like salt and pepper (there were empty vessels for these things) would have been really helpful. Just felt like some simple touches were missing which was a shame as the set up was great for 2 families and the location was fabulous. Overall just felt a bit basic. There was also a mix up and when we arrived the place hadn’t been cleaned. It was rectified quickly but meant we had to wait around while it was cleaned which was a bit inconvenient and the explanation we were given was a bit odd and not particularly apologetic. We won’t be back.
