Renovated Downtown Home with Historic Charm, Free Parking by Lucky Savannah

This beautiful home is only minutes away from historic River Street, bustling Broughton Street, and within steps to Mother Mathilda Beasly Dog Park. With 2 bedrooms and 2.5 baths, this two-story townhouse can accommodate up to 6 Lucky guests.

The parlor, which opens to the dining room, will be to your left when you enter the foyer. A door in the dining room leads to a private deck, the perfect quiet spot to enjoy a cup of coffee as you start you day. Inside, just off of the dining room is the elevated kitchen, which features an ample amount of counter space and everything you need to enjoy an evening in. The homes’ half bath is neatly tucked away under the staircase.

At the top of the stairs you’ll find the laundry room and a subway tile shower/tub combination, with a large vanity, that boasts with light. Each bedroom features a king size beds, large smart television, and plenty of storage for your belongings. The main bedroom, facing the front of the home overlooking the tree-lined streets, additionally features a bright and airy ensuite bathroom with walk-in shower.

In the morning, stroll down the cobblestones of Jones Street, dubbed “America’s prettiest street” by Southern Living Magazine, for breakfast at Clary’s Cafe, the setting for several breakfast scenes in Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil. From there, you’ll be steps away from the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist, which underwent a major restoration to preserve their beautiful stained glass windows and architectural integrity.

Perfect place!

We loved the house and all of the amenities. Tranquil and beautiful! It was perfect for a stroll down to River Street and parking was ample. I prefer just dealing with VRBO, instead of a third party, but the house had no issues and we were fine.

Range Lights in Kitchen were burned out. No kitchen table or island in the kitchen although room for one. Cooking utensils provided were good. Biggest complaints: Storage for clothes in bedrooms was extremely inadequate. Had to live out of suitcases for an entire week. Secondly, for price, cable should be included for full access to TV versus cheap Fire TVs with limited options.

The location made for easy access to beautiful Savannah, and many things were within walking distance. Our biggest concern was the exterior- overgrown walkway and parking accessibility. As someone with mobility disability, the overgrown foliage made accessing the sidewalks, street and our vehicles more difficult. The interior was welcoming, bright and tidy- the exterior just left a different impression.

We were very pleased with the mattresses and pillows, so no need to worry if you are looking for a good night's sleep. The home was spacious and there was a small outdoor seating area with furniture if you want to sit outside. The home was well stocked with everything you need in the kitchen including coffee maker and Keurig. Hairdryer, curling iron, iron, steamer. All very handy to have on hand when you are traveling. The location was great, especially if you want to spend time by the river. Parking was also available for at least one car. I would highly recommend this rental and will use it again if I am back in Savannah. The entry instructions arrived precisely 2 days before our reservation as communicated. Thank you!

Quaint and Cozy

This was a great house for our girls trip! The kitchen and bathrooms were renovated, and everything was in great condition. The 2 bedrooms are good sized with plenty of room for our group of 4 adult women, and the beds were comfortable. There are only a couple of parking spaces in front of the house (because of a preschool crosswalk and fire hydrant), but there was ample street parking right around the corner. The house was not in the center of the downtown action, but was easily walkable. Bring comfortable walking shoes for downtown Savannah - so much to see on foot! We loved it!

Girls trip

The house was perfect for our getaway. Very clean and the kichen has everything you might need, including a Keurig. Two notes: the keypad code information said to enter a star after the number but there is no star, use the check mark instead. There is parking in front of the house but there is also a crosswalk to the school. Make sure ALL of your vehicle is behind the not so obvious yellow curb.

My only concerns was that, as the property is located on Broad St. it does brush up against a sketchy area to the east but we had no problems and would absolutely return. The management company was accessible, friendly, and professional. There were no surprises in the bill. We love Savannah and I'll turn to Lucky Savannah first when we return.

Historic Home

My husband and I stayed at this house for 5 days. We had another couple join us for 2 nights. We enjoyed the historical nature of this home. The amenities (or lack of) were the reason that we knocked it down to 3 stars. There towels on our bed in our bedroom, as well as in the other bedroom for our friends. They included 2 bath towels, one hand towel and one washcloth. Were my husband and I supposed to share a washcloth and hand towel for 5 days? There was no extra trash can liners, and we filled up the kitchen can in the first 3 days. There was only 1 kitchen towel, which was dirty and wet after 2 days. There also was no facial tissues so our friend, who was recovering from a cold, had to use the very thin toilet paper to blow her nose. We ran out of toilet papers and had to go buy more. We did call and more towels were brought that same day, so that was good but shouldn’t have been necessary. This made the overall stay feel not as special as it could have been.
