New Interior: Main level MBR with new double shower head, New Kitchen w/ ss appliances, Cozy parlor and Full BR. All new mattresses, towels, and linens. Custom Dining to seat 8. Upstairs is a charming bunk room, new finished basement with media room. Double lot with fire pit. Enjoy our books, games, videos, Netflix, and bikes. We put into our home everything that we look for in a vacation rental and want to share it with you!

Perfect house for family memories

So glad we booked this home! The house is close to the beach, downtown and kids corner. We were able to walk (or bike with the provided bicycles) everywhere. The house itself is very clean and comfortable and was well stocked with everything you’d need to make your stay more comfortable. Highly recommend

Beautiful home within walking distance to the beach and Kids Korner

We loved this property! It was within walking distance to the beach and Kids Korner. It is on a dead end street with Kal Haven trail across the road. The house is bigger than the expected with a nice master bedroom, large master bathroom with walk-in closet and laundry. There is a large backyard to play in, grill, and eat. We enjoyed using the bikes that are provided. The house is clean and updated. There is nothing I would change about it!

Charming Cottage on Maple

The name says it all! The cottage is so charming, with every inch of space utilized for function, comfort, and design. Our stay was so short we didn't even use the lower level or the fire pit. We brought our own beach chairs and really did not need to, they provided the exact same backpack chairs in the garage! Also bikes were available! It is the perfect getaway, so close to the beach and kids corner! Next time we will plan for a longer stay! Thank you Kyle & Mindi for sharing your beautiful cottage!

Great Place!

We had a great time, granted we were not in the house much! The bikes are all in good condition, the house is stocked with all the basics and then some and the beds are very comfortable. I would have loved to stay longer and read some of the books and play some of the many games here!

Perfect SoHa Rental

Great location on South Beach. Walking/biking distance to Kids Corner and the Blue Stairs. Hidden on a dead end street perfect for kids playing riding bikes. House is clean and has plenty of room to spread out. Homeowners are great communicators.

Nice house in the perfect location!

Our family of four thoroughly enjoyed our stay in South Haven! This house is in the perfect location - only about a 5 min. walk from the beach, even closer to the Kid's Corner playground (which our 4 and 2 year olds loved!), and close to town (walking distance if you're up for a little longer walk)! The house was very clean and nice, especially the master bedroom/bathroom and finished basement. We also enjoyed sitting outside and having a bonfire. The second bedroom on the main floor was a bit smaller than expected, but was perfectly fine for sleeping. The upstairs bedroom seemed a bit warm even though the outside temperature wasn't that warm during our stay (mid 80s), but our son (4) didn't seem to mind (there were also floor fans for our use). The only thing the house didn't have that would have been nice was a DVD player, but it's not like we were home that much to use it anyway. Thanks for letting us stay in your home, we hope to be back next year!

South Haven Girls Trip

Our stay in South Haven was wonderful. The house on Maple street was the perfect size for my daughter and my grand children. The house was very clean and updated. The downstairs was the perfect place to relax after the small ones went to bed. I would rent this house again!

Our family vacations in South Haven every summer and this was our favorite vacation rental yet! The location was perfect! The street was quiet so the kids could ride bikes safely and it was an easy walk to the beach. The house was super clean and comfortable. Thanks for sharing your home with us! Bike Path Cottage

We had to switch vacation gears at the last moment because of hurricane evacuations in Hilton Head. We booked just a day ahead and the owners were very helpful. The cottage is adorable with plenty of room and all the essentials for a great stay. There are kids and adult bikes, a fire pit in the large backyard, close enough to walk to all of South Haven’s shops, restaurants, the beach and a great neighborhood playground. The kitchen is well equipped and the home has everything you would need for a lake vacation. The decor mixes vintage and modern with a bike theme to fit the location by the path. We also traveled to Saugatuck which is only a short drive away and Grand Haven which is about an hour. We loved the quant historical homes in the area. The sand dunes and an adventurous ride are also close by and I would recommend to families. Thanks for making our trip up North a memorable one since we couldn’t go South!

Perfect lake house!

Our family loved this house! The location is great, the backyard is huge, and the dead end road makes it easy and safe for kids to play out front as well. The house was just the right size for our family of 4, plus a few other relatives for part of the week. The kids loved their room upstairs. The beds were comfortable, the sheets and towels were soft, and we had everything we needed. We highly recommend this place, and we hope to come back in the future!

Great Stay

House was updated, clean, and overall a very comfortable space. Great access to the beach via the "Blue Steps" and to Kids Corner, which is great for youngsters when they don't want to go to the beach. Downtown was just a few minutes drive too, which was great. Look forward to our next stay!

We loved this little house! It was perfect for 4 adults, and could definitely accommodate more people. We especially liked the kitchen and master bedroom. We hoped to grill outside in the lovely backyard, but rain stopped is from doing that. Everything was terrific overall!

This rental is perfectly clean and perfectly located. Just blocks from the water with excellent sunset views and directly next to the bike path. Short drive from downtown and anything you could need. Loved all the homey touches throughout. Would definitely stay again!

Impressive

House was super clean and located in a quiet neighborhood. Bathrooms and kitchen are all up to date. Outside appearance does not give justice to what the owners have done inside. Have stayed at various HomeAway apartments/houses in the U.S. and abroad and this location exceeded my expectations. Only negative observation was owners left you dishwashing and washing machine soap but did not have personal soap or shampoo available in the bathrooms. Small issue and does not detract from overall experience.

Beautiful House, amazing weekend

We loved our stay! The house is beautiful, newly remodeled, wonderful decorations and ambiance. The location is perfect, short walk to the Kid's corner and blue stairs down to the beach. There is a bike path right outside. It is also located on a dead end, so there was not much traffic. My only note to the owners is that cleaning products (like some windex or the like) would be nice. Also if they could make a broom available. It would have been nice to clean up a little after ourselves. There were plenty of dishes and pots and pans. The fire pit and grill worked great. Thanks for a great stay.

We are Kyle and Mindi McMillan of ZIonsville, IN. We dreamed of a vacation home where we could make memories with our six children (and new daughter in law!). Kyle is in real estate development and Mindi breeds labradoodles. We our active in our community, church, and foreign missions. Our first home as a married couple was on Maple St in Zionsville.. We love that our cottage is on Maple!

Why they chose this property

We wanted a vacation home that felt like a vacation. South Haven has always had our favorite beaches and restaurants. We love that our kids can walk to town and catch lunch and a movie. Kyle and I like to visit the local wineries, antique stores, and farmer's markets. When we found our cottage, we fell in love as soon as we saw the master bedroom. We love Maple Street and the one way, tree lined street and direct access to Cal-Haven Trail. We love taking our grand babies to play at the newly updated Kids Corner, just a block away. We wanted close to everything but quiet privacy and found it!
