We loved staying here in this charming home. It was very nicely decorated, well -furnished and comfortable. Our 5 yr old grandson loved the bunk beds! Kitchen was very well equipped, and the grill was a bonus. Lovely porch and back deck. Many extras provided such as coffee, paper products, and fluffy towels. Neighborhood was lovely, close to the Kal Haven Trail, and very quiet. Host was very responsive and helpful. We would love to stay here again!
Just finished our fourth year of spending a week in the house. We’ll be back. It’s perfect for our group of seven. We love the location, and Liliana is a fantastic host. It’s a five-minute drive to the beach (neighborhood parking is easy to find in South Beach). My kids love the park just a half block from the house, and my wife runs every morning on the Kal-Haven Trail, which starts just a half-mile from the house. Great place!
The location of the home is great! It was an easy walk downtown to restaurants and shops. The home offered plenty of space, but could use some updates. All in all, a good trip!
Comfortable house within walking distance to downtown South Haven. Nice roomy home with shaded back yard, fire pit and deck.

Cottage wasn't as described. Pictures were from many years ago. BOOGERS on the wall and bedframe. We took pictures and of course had to clean. Mold around the inside of downstairs shower. Oh FORGOT top right bunk bed was dried urine spot. Smelled. Who uses stainless steel pots and pans! Horrible. Go to goodwill and pick up a set of no stick! Also, who doesn't leave body wash for the showers. I believe we are owed 400 as a refund! We have pictures. I'm very upset. Put a damper on the weekend. Only 1 TV? Please respond and refund a portion of the cleaning fee. Thank you for addressing my concerns.

Hello Stephen,
We feel terrible about your experience. We pride ourselves oh the highest level of cleanliness and service and are very surprised by your claims. We could find no evidence of them ourselves. Please submit the pictures.
As far as stainless steel pots and pans are concerned, we prefer those to non stick as non stick have been proven to have adverse health effects.
We also provide plenty of shampoo, soap and all other bathroom needs. If you had run out, all you needed to do was text me and we would have been happy to provide anything you needed. The same is true for any other concern. I had texted you a number of times, but never heard back. Wishing you all the best. I hope your experience elsewhere will be more enjoyable.
Great utilization of space. Kids loved the bunk beds, the yard to run in, playing with sidewalk chalk and the many books available to read. The kitchen was well stocked and spacious enough to accommodate all 10 of us, as well as the large dining table. Beaches in South Haven are some of the best I have ever been.
The house is charming, nice neighborhood, very close to downtown, walkable (for good walkers) to south beach.Good communication. Our family griller said to say grill is 10 of 10.
Very charming home with 3 bathrooms and 5 bedrooms. Fire pit, large shaded front porch, gas grill, spacious deck and parking for at least 5 vehicles. Walking distance to downtown South Haven with a 7-minute drive to the beaches.
A nice little home walking distance to everything South Haven has to offer. The listing accurately represents that some of the bedrooms are small, but there's enough room to sleep. Common areas are comfy, and there's everything you need. Loved the location, and loved South Haven.
The property was very clean but a lot older than I thought it would be. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked. Liliana was easy to contact with any problems we had which weren’t many. It was my first time in South Haven and I truly had a wonderful time.
Nice older home with lots of sleeping space for our family. Short walk to downtown for eating, shopping, and farmer’s market. Played games on the front porch, and enjoyed the backyard fire pit. Washer and dryer flipped a circuit, but it was quickly fixed. Can’t use the outlet in small bedroom with 2 twin beds unless the light is on, so no fan or charging phone at night. Overall a nice stay.
This was our first trip to South Haven and we had a wonderful time! The cottage was perfect for our family which included me, my husband, two adult sons, daughter in law and two toddler grand daughters. The layout worked well since our son's family could utilize the back half of the house for their sleeping area A door could be closed after the girls went to bed so we didn't bother them with games or conversatons.
I believe the owners have thought of everything we might need with a nicely stocked kitchen, bathroom supplies, books, games and even blankets for snuggling in the living room. The spaces were all extremely clean.
We easily walked to town for restaurants and shops. The beach was walkable too, however, we did drive one car down to transport the umbrellas, coolers, etc.
We would love to vacation in South Haven again and would stay in this cottage if it was available.
The house was very clean but old. Neighborhood is quiet and nice. It is a little further than I expected to downtown or the beach, about a mile each way, so you aren't going to go back and forth much. The bunk beds are in a converted hallway area without much privacy, and the bedrooms are small, but it suited our group of 8 adults just fine. We didn't use the bunk beds. I struggled to contact the hostess thru VRBO. She contacted me, but when I tried to reply the link would take me to VRBO's home page, not to the property. In general, we had a great time.
We've stayed in this house four times now, and we'll book it again. Our group is typically five adults and two kids, and there's plenty of room for all of us. In fact, we could add a few more kids to the group and still be comfortable. The house is a 15-20 minute walk from the beach. We typically drive to the beach and park in the pay lot or on one of the neighborhood streets east of South Beach. It's an easy 10-minute walk, however, to downtown. And our sports-loving kids love to play in the park that's just a block away (basketball hoop with 7 ft. rim, baseball diamond, playground equipment). My wife runs on the Kal-Haven trail (a short walk away) most mornings. The house itself is always clean and well maintained. Big dining room table. Great deck with a gas grill in the back. Biggest drawback: the kitchen is small. You'll have some log jams there. Otherwise, this house is perfect for families. As I mentioned, we'll definitely be back.
The house was perfect for our family which included elderly as well as young children. The spacious living room and dining room were perfect for gathering and there was plenty of room for folks to spread out for quiet time. The bunk room is a pass-thru room between the dining room and laundry/back bedroom, back bathroom. The twin room is off to the side of the bunk room. There are doors to close so kids can sleep in quiet while adults stay up. The weather was chilly during our stay and we found this area of the house chilly when those interior doors were closed. We especially love all the books/games, front porch, back deck, back yard, firepit, plenty of dishes/cups/silverware/dining chairs/towels/pillows. The water pressure is great and there is tons of hot water. The neighborhood is quiet and friendly and location is a 2 minute drive to town or 15 min walk. Tot park is very close. The house is beautifully decorated without being cluttered. We love the beautiful artwork everywhere. Communication was prompt, friendly and instructions clear. We would love to stay again.
My family & I really enjoyed this house! It was very clean, & perfect size for all my family The host was very quick in responding & a really nice person. Would love to visit again that's for sure!!
The host was very responsive to questions. The house was great and facilitated our large family. The outdoor seating was amazing and the kitchen had everything we needed. Wit was very clean and perfect for our family.
Very spacious and comfortable home for our group which included kids, elderly, and inbetween. Well stocked kitchen and bathrooms, comfortable beds and tons of pillows. We love the back yard and firepit. We love the huge back deck and front porch. This is our second time staying here and plan to again! Of all the homes we have stayed at this one is the very best!
My friends and I had a lovely weekend getaway to the lake in South Haven at this cute and cozy home. The house was clean and sweetly decorated with ample outdoor space for nights around the fire pit and group dinners both on the front and back porches (loved using the grill!). Lilliana is a wonderful host who answered all of my questions promptly and completely before we checked in. This house is a bit more cramped than particularly spacious as the description notes. The bedroom with bunk beds is more of a hallway that connects two parts of the house so you have to walk through this bedroom to get to the kitchen. There is less privacy in the bunk room so it might be better for kids to sleep in. All in all, though, we enjoyed our stay immensely! The house is clearly well-maintained, cleaned thoroughly between guests, and the host provided amenities (bath towels, cookware, wi-fi) to make our stay very comfortable. Thanks for the lovely stay!
The house was as described. The location was terrific as we walked to town daily. Large backyard with a lovely deck and a fire pit with plenty of wood. Liliana was a pleasure to work with. She got back to us immediately with a few questions we had. We would definitely rent here again!
