We had a great stay at Sandy's home. We had everything we needed for the week and Squam lake is beautiful! The house is in a wonderful cove. We will definitely be back!

The location on the lake is great, with beautiful, long range views and good privacy.
The house is beautiful and classy. As it is very new the gardens are still evolving, but overall it is a wonderfully designed and built home to enjoy Squam. The screen porch facing the lake was where we spent the most time when we weren't out on the lake. The house was spotlessly clean and the owners are very responsive and accommodating. The owner, Sandy, even refunded some money voluntarily when Homeway charged a little more than he had quoted me on phone. The shore and cove where the house is located is very quiet and protected from prevailing winds. The house has lots of water toys including a bumper tube, floaties, kayaks and a canoe. Swimming off the dock is very nice - water is clear, bottom is sandy - no weeds or reeds. Perhaps the only thing I could have hoped for was just a little deeper water at end of dock. I could still dive - but very shallow dive. That said we were there in late September and the water level was a little lower than average summer water. All in all it is a great spot and a beautiful house! We had a BLAST!

Was the first to stay at this Stunning Squam Lake Home. To begin- Sandy (The Owner ) delivers 100% - He is very attentive to every detail and he did everything to make sure the home was as promised - Great location -Perfect retreat - Totally relaxing - I cannot compliment him or the property any more -I have stayed at Manderine Orient and Ritz Carlton many times and this property provides the same luxury experience without the hotel feel - We came to go smallmouth fishing for a week and you not only have easy access to the lake but a 5 star location to relax and enjoy the beauty of Squam Lake - if you wish for the experience of a lake vacation without the crowds and the privacy of a luxury home you cant miss with this home - I already reserved for next year and was sad to leave ! Daily we were on the lake and at night would sit on the screened deck and listen to the loons just as in " On Golden Pond" -- Although we were not there for summer the setup looks great for familys- a complete home with all the luxuries - a floating dock to swim from- and canoe's to go on the water - if you have a boat the dock is provides a venue to enjoy the lake without having to re- trailer the boat every day - The home has an elabarate entertainment system for those family nights - If you have any doubts about this location just watch "On Golden Pond" and you will not pass it up !

About the host
Hosted by Sandy Tilney
Now on to the 4th generation, our extended family has been renting at Squam for more than 60 years. As a special place for our children and us, it has been a long held dream to build a house on the lake. We are looking for renters who feel similarly about Squam and will treat the house and property as their own. We expect to rent the house for many years to come and want to establish long term family relationships at the outset.
Why they chose this property
Our location is the best of both worlds - it is private but near the town of Holderness, where you can rent a boat, pick up the morning newspaper or enjoy some good restaurants. The house is set back from the lake so there is both a sense of privacy as well as expansive views in a relatively quiet part of Squam. As the crow flies, we are roughly a half mile from Church Island and a mile and a half from Rockywold Deephaven.
What makes this property unique
All the comforts of home in a well built and extremely well insulated structure. Easy access to Squam Lake and environs. Perfect for a family vacation. Stunning views.
