A nicely updated 4BR 2BH home with an outdoor firepit, nicely maintained lawn and patio, updated kitchen and cozy bedrooms so you can enjoy your stay in Pittsburgh. Because we are in the borough of Green Tree we are only allowed to rent monthly.
There a Jacuzzi tub in the master bathroom and both bathrooms have walk in showers.
This is a quiet neighborhood with few rental properties. A municipal pool is in the neighborhood as well.
About the House: Heating and air conditioning controls are in the main living room.
Trash Pick Up is Wednesday and every other week we recycle.
The garage is for your use but there is a storage area off the laundry room we use for our own storage.
EXTRA SUPPLIES:
In both bathrooms there are plenty of extra towels, hand towels bath mats, etc.
In each of the rooms with beds there are extra linens. There is also a space heater there too.
THE basement is a separate suite. There is a gas fireplace, separate.
The television has Internet access.
The downstairs refrigerator is unplugged since it is rarely used.
There
THE KITCHEN: The kitchen has a set of pots and pans as well as a full set of dish ware and glasses, etc.
OUTSIDE: If you want to use the gas grill the quick-connect for the grill is located near the above ground water tap at the end of the wooden deck.
Outside fireplace as a gas turn-on valve on the side of it. You will need to light a match to get it started. Please replace the cover.
MASTER BATHROOM: Turbo charged tub has some sensors built into it such that the air jets won’t work unless the water is covering them. The shower water temperature controls are reversed from the normal way they should be. We bought the place that way and got used to it. The skylight key is behind the door.
BEDROOMS: there are two bedrooms with queen sized memory foam beds. A third bedroom has a twin bed and the basement Is set up as a mother-in-law suite with a queen bed. THE PATIO: We get a lot of compliments on our back yard. It's fenced for privacy and has a lot of seating for a leisurely cookout.
SAFETY AND SECURITY: 911 answers all calls. On the way to this house you passed the police department and fire departments. HIGHWAY ACCESS: The access to the 387 (the Parkway) is off of Poplar Street.
PARK: If you have kids, there are two parks in the neighborhood. Wilson Park you probably passed on your way to the house. In the summer they have a municipal pool that is open. Resident passes are available. Also, If you continue westerly past the house there is a kid’s playground area at the end of Sheldon.
Schools are in the Keystone Oaks district and the bus stops all along Sheldon.bathroom, dinette, etc.

Beautiful
This is a very nice house. It was like staying at home. It is close to many areas in Pittsburgh. Clayton Harris provides quite a lot of info about the house and where to go and eat. I would rent this home in the future for sure.

Fantastic!!!
The house is gorgeous! It is so spacious and gives everyone their own space. Everything we need was here. The kitchen is beautiful and has such high end finishes. We had friends up from Florida that haven't been to Pittsburgh in 47 years. We all loved staying here! It is a perfect location that makes it easy to get everywhere. Clayton was so amazing and attentive with quick responses and helpful information. It couldn't have been a better stay!! I can't say enough about the house. It was clean, cozy, and felt like home!!
Clayton has a lovely home in Green Tree, and he was kind to stock the fridge with condiments and breakfast goodies! We would definitely check to see if Clayton's place in available the next time we visit Pittsburgh.
This is truly a home away from home. It is nicely decorated and very comfortable. Everything you need is there! Clayton Harris, the property owner, even stocked the refrigerator with eggs, bacon, milk, juice, creamer for coffee, and butter and he bought bread, two types of cereal, coffee and tea, and apples so there is no need to go to the grocery store right away. The backyard is beautiful with a lovely covered patio and a grill. Besides the comfortable living room on the main floor, there are two additional lower level living spaces including a beautiful fireplace. This was our second time in the Cozy Bungalow and it will always be my first choice if available when we visit family in Pittsburgh.
This home exceeded our expectations! Lots of space, yet super cozy. Awesome kitchen with everything that you would ever need to prepare a fantastic meal. This home is super clean (and I am super picky)!! This is by far the best stocked home that we have ever rented. The owner is so nice and made us feel at home from the start of the reservation process. The location is perfect with close access to the downtown area. Perhaps the best surprise was the very private (fenced) outdoor space that includes a beautifully manicured lawn, covered patio, pergola and grill. Thank you Clayton for helping to make our visit to Pittsburgh such a nice one!!
We loved our stay at this home. The home was beautiful as well as the back yard. We felt so relaxed during our stay. Loved
sitting outside under the covered porch while viewing the professional landscaped fenced yard.❤️
This is our second year staying at this home because it is just that comfortable. There is ample room in the home plus an outstanding back yard with covered patio which we frequently used. The location is convenient to restaurants, the highway and the airport. This listing is a good base to enjoy a Pittsburgh visit.

Perfect house for extended stay in Pittsburgh
This was a perfect property for us (3 sisters & 2 husbands) during our stay in Pittsburgh for a graduation celebration. It's a very comfortable house in a lovely, quiet neighborhood, and the beautiful patio and backyard were wonderful. And Clayton was always available when questions came up or advice needed. Thank you!

Couldn’t be better.
The cozy bungalow is a tastefully updated and very comfortable home. It is complete with everything for living, dining, sleeping, clothes washing, and bathroom needs. Extra bonuses include a landscaped yard for entertaining and a complete (and lovely) basement apartment. A++!

Worked well for us - very nice property!
We very much enjoyed our few days in this house. It was a convenient location, very clean, well appointed, quiet neighborhood, and the owner was very helpful. Our only disappointment was that the gas fireplace on the lower level could not be used because it needed parts. That would've made it perfect for us !

Great stay
Our family had a fantastic stay. The house was excellent and accommodated all of our needs. We were originally from Pittsburgh and we felt like "we were home". The photos don't do it justice, there's so much more to this house than they depict! The owner is extremely courteous, helpful, gracious and friendly. He made us feel welcome, safe and important. He made sure we were comfortable and that if we needed anything, he was always available. We loved our stay and when we return to Pittsburgh, this will be "our home away from home"!

Amazing!!
This was our second time to Pittsburgh and first time renting a home instead of staying in a hotel. I loved the house! It had plenty of room so we didn't feel like we were on top of one another and the back patio area is amazing! It was so nice to come back from a very eventful day in the city and relax by the fire and enjoy the quiet. The house had everything we needed and much more. I would recommend Clayton's home to anyone visiting the area. I have never been disappointed with VRBO and the homes we rent.. they only deal with the best houses and owners.

Wonderful home, with easy access to downtown Pittsburgh
This is a beautiful home and property that has been very nicely updated. We were there for a long weekend touring Pittsburgh and found its location offers easy access to downtown and the Stadiums. Claytons home is very well equipped and he has made sure you'll find every thing you may want or need during your stay. And if you need anything or have questions Clayton responds very quickly.

Great home and location
Have stayed at numerous VRBO properties and this one was one of my favorites. Clayton was incredible to deal with and the home itself was perfect. Although the pictures are pretty good they still didnt do justice to how nice it was. It had every amenity. Easy access from airport and not a far ways to Heinz and PNC. Thanks again for everything! God bless!

Comfortable
We stayed in this quiet, lovely neighborhood home for a week while we visited Pittsburgh family. The renovated kitchen and bathroom were jaw droppers. The kitchen you will find stocked with everything you need to either prepare food or entertain a family dinner. There are spacious areas for lounging that we didn't even use because this home includes an outstanding backyard with covered patio and grill that will call you outdoors. The owner was friendly and attentive to the few questions we had. The location was perfect with easy access to groceries, shopping and sites for visiting while in Pittsburgh. We couldn't be more pleased with this rental experience.

Lovely Home
The Cozy Bungalow was perfect for our daughter, son-in-law, two young grandchildren and us to enjoy a week visiting relatives in the Pittsburgh area. We really enjoyed the backyard and lovely covered patio. Clayton, our host, provides all the essentials for a very comfortable stay! We will definitely look forward to staying here again!

Perfect Pittsburgh Base Camp
This house was a perfect base camp for our family with teenagers while we were visiting Pittsburgh for a family reunion. Clayton was very easy to communicate with and made sure that the house was ready with little details (like porch lights on and AC keeping the house a comfortable temperature) before our late evening arrival.
The back patio was perfect for enjoying our coffee every morning as we planned our day.
Much better than staying at a hotel. Will definitely be back when I need a place to stay in the 'Burgh.

About the host
Hosted by Clayton Harris
We’re a retired couple whose only listing is this house. We live 15 minutes away and treat this house as our own. Because it’s got a nice yard, we work hard to keep it up. We bought this house with the intention of family moving here.
Why they chose this property
We bought this house with the intention of part of our family using it when they came to stay in Pittsburgh. We wanted a quiet place good for older people and in a good school district.
Green Tree is more restricting than Pittsburgh such that we can only rent monthly. It has its benefits because the house is a neighborhood of homeowners that has easy access to some great amenities.
What makes this property unique
Quiet and low key. We’re on a loop so the only people driving past are neighbors
Fencing. We have a fenced yard, one of the few. So we’re private. Because of all the open spaces we have a lot of wildlife. Mostly deer and turkeys.
