The Flats in Downtown Melbourne is a unique triplex located in the heart Downtown Melbourne, just steps from shopping and dining! This unit is located on the second floor, very clean, non-smoking, and artistically decorated inside and out to be your relaxing home away from home! It has been completely renovated, but still maintains its original historic character including the original patina hardwood flooring!
Enjoy the breath taking views of dolphins playing in the Indian River Lagoon along your short ride to Melbourne Beaches! Walking distance to Manatee Park where local manatees are often seen playing in the warm waters of Crane Creek.
Many famous attractions are an hour or less from The Flats in Downtown Melbourne. Disney, Universal Studios, Wet N Wild, Kennedy Space Center, Ron Jon’s Surf Shop in Cocoa Beach and Port Canaveral just to mention a few. There are also many fun things to do in Melbourne such as canoeing in Turkey Creek, jet skiing in the Indian River Lagoon, and paddle boarding and surfing in Melbourne Beach! Also, enjoy Sea Turtle season, May- October, we are the largest sea turtle nesting area in the USA. The Suite offers a queen size pillow top mattress. In the full bathroom you will enjoy a large walk in shower artistically designed with curved wall and overhead rain shower.
Spend your mornings on the back porch or lounging in the living room. You can also watch your favorite movies or local stations in the living area on the flat screen television equipped with Roku. There is a study area available to catch up on any work you may need to do during your stay. WiFi is available.
The full size kitchen with dinette is equipped with all appliances, kitchen utensils, pots and pans, and dishes to prepare your own home cooked meals. The dinette provides the perfect environment to enjoy a glass of wine in the dimly lit lighting and hand crafted table created with a wine barrel and wine corks!
The Flats also offer a stack able washer and dryer just off the kitchen.

Wonderful experience

I was extremely satisfied with my stay. I visited Melbourne for my cousin’s college graduation, and many of the restaurants my extended family suggested for breakfast and dinner were within walking distance of the property. Cool location in a quiet and safe neighborhood. Ashley provided excellent communication and made everything easy. Welcome card and package were a nice touch. Hoping to return for another event next year. Had a great time!

Great location.

We had the upstairs unit. It is in an old house that has been updated. The neighborhood is quiet and the parking is in the front yard (not on the street). The location is great, easy walking distance to the old downtown with shops and many restaurants and bars.

Absolutely Amazing

This is our second stay in this home and love it! It is always so hard to leave as we have a great time. Walk to a variety of restaurants and shops and a mile to the beach. Worth it every time and we will be back!! Ashley is on top of things and does s great job making things very comfortable for your stay. Highly recommend this location.

Great little property, wonderful location!

I enjoyed my short stay here. Ashley was very good at communicating with me. I came in very late the first night and got in easily using the key lock box. She had a box of cookies and cold water waiting for me, which was much needed and appreciated. I loved being so close to many restaurants and shops. There is a small parking lot right in front of the house, so that was easy. The big shower was a nice bonus. My $300 security deposit was promptly refunded after my stay, that was my only concern.

Spacious, clean, everything we needed, convenient, friendly neighborhood

This apartment is on the 2nd fl and has four large rooms plus a laundry/utility room, a hallway with a desk for papers & electronics, and a back screened in deck that also has stairs to the private backyard. The main entry is in the front of the house. The living room has windows on 3 sides making it nice and bright, and the furniture is quite comfortable. The kitchen has plenty of cookware, a nice stove & frig, double sink, & a great round table with 4 high top chairs. The bedroom has tons of storage, closet space, and a comfortable queen bed. The shower is huge and the whole bathroom is very nice. During our stay, the 2 first floor apartments were occupied by really nice folks that we did many things with during the month. It was our first VRBO, and we're sold on it!

Walkable, clean, cute!

Ashley was a communicative and thoughtful host. The place is easy walking distance (or pedi-cab distance!) from the wonderful downtown Melbourne: packed with bakeries, coffee shops, bars, restaurants, and music. And at the same time the place was quiet as could be (except the crickets and morning doves - welcome sounds!). Would love to stay again. Great shower, too. :)

Fabulous location!

This was our home away from home January and February 2017, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Loved the fact that the owners remodeled the apartment in keeping with the historic atmosphere of the home. Rooms all very large and well furnished. The walk in shower was a very nice feature as was the screened in porch. Home is within walking distance to town and Manatee Park. Perfect location, would highly recommend.

Great loft! Perfect location

My husband and I stayed here for a few days and the place was perfect. It is just like the pictures. It's an older home that has been very tastefully updated. It has nice amenities without losing the charm of an older home. The shower is absolutely awesome. Ashley is great to work with as an owner.

Great location. Great apartment.

The owners modernized the flat and did an amazing job doing so. It's a very cozy place and makes you feel at home. Not only that, but they are very nice and welcoming people. I stayed in this flat for over 2 months and I would do it again, given the opportunity. I would suggest to anyone: Stay here and enjoy. It's a great place to vacation.

What a great one bedroom pad!

This property was in an ideal location and simply adorable. The home was very easy to find. In walking distance were nice shops and eateries. The neighborhood was pedestrian friendly with a great walking/jogging route to the water. The welcoming snacks and bottled waters were a very nice touch I had not received at any other vacation property. I'm moving up north and hope to find something like this to rent long term or even purchase. Well done on the bathroom design. My only remiss was not taking advantage of the painting activity so close to the home. Too many things to do in a short time frame. Thank you for making your property available for others to enjoy.

Beautiful and well done

Do not hesitate to book this for a getaway! Such a surprise in the downtown area. Adorable loft decorated and filled with all the little things that make for a great stay. Enough staples to stop you from needing to run to the store right away (coffee, water, ice, toilet paper, creamer, sugar) even a fun wine display that takes donations. Furniture was was done, bathroom is great. Lots of charm and A great little screen porch off the back to enjoy your morning coffee. nice walking distance to all the shopping and restaurants/bars downtown. Just a great stay overall!
