Cedar Alley has always worked to provide the cleanest vacation rental possible. Our normal cleaning routine has included stripping the beds down to the bedbug -proof mattress cover and washing all of the items - mattress pad to blankets. In addition, we have steam-cleaned the mattress covers, pillows, upholstered furniture, area rugs, etc. Hard surfaces like counters, tile, flooring, cabinets, door knobs, etc. have been cleaned with a solution of vinegar and water, and commercial cleaners. During this time of increased concern about the possible transmission of viruses we have added the use of bleach solution on these hard surfaces.
Our prices include all fees. No hidden fees.

This cottage was charming, comfortable, and immaculately clean. The location was perfect. A quiet nice neighborhood close to everything. You can walk to the grocery store. Downtown Anchorage is a very short drive. Train station is close. Pam & Lee were so thoughtful in the food and amenities they provided. I 100% recommend staying here. You will not regret it.

Thank you Lisa, that makes me so happy that it was a good part of your great adventure. Thank you for taking such great care of our little cottage!
We really enjoyed our stay there as a home base in Anchorage while we explored the area. The location is great, walkable to downtown. Pam and Lee went above and beyond providing snacks, coffee, and other essentials that most VRBO owners don’t provide! Highly recommend.
Pam and Lee are excellent hosts. Lee met us at the house to show us around and give us tips on things like using the shower faucet (very handy!), and was promptly available to troubleshoot and resolve a minor router issue. Pam stocked the home with everything you can think of and more, from fresh sourdough loaves and eggs to bowls of chocolate candy and fresh cookies! They also have all the necessary - and more - cooking tools and needs. I've never seen a rental so well-stocked. Both Pam and Lee are very responsive and seem to genuinely want their guests to enjoy their time in Anchorage. Thank you!
Pam and Lee are wonderful hosts. Their generosity allowed us to explore Alaska while feeling at home away from home. The cottage has pretty much everything essential. We couldn’t ask for more. Thank you, we’ll be back!
Everything was wonderful. We felt like we were home. Comfortable beds, cozy decor, if you forgot anything, they had extras. And even left some basic foods to eat.

We had a great stay here! There were 4 of us for 3 nights. Great walking distance to downtown and we used the washer and dryer before heading out on our Alaska cruise. Hosts could not have been nicer!
Fabulous place to stay . Home away from home .. owners even supplied goodies on arrival and breakfast items .. owners very friendly with advice and tourist attractions . A few blocks walk into town
Location was as described. It is small but is well stocked with items and the hosts took extra care to have items on hand for us. Location is good -- can walk to downtown.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this quaint and cozy rental. Felt like home. It was wonderful to find that Pam and Lee stocked with just about everything, from eggs, milk, bread, apples, and cheese, as well as coffee, tea, and all the paper products. Only minutes to downtown. A great location!
What a great place to stay and a great location! Our plane took off at 4 and they gave us a late checkout, absolutely no hassle! They also stocked the refrigerator with eggs/cheese/half and half/butter etc so we didn’t have to buy them! I highly recommend this place!
I liked that it was close to the mall and restaurants. Cozy and had everything we needed

Everything we needed to have a wonderful stay was provided by our hosts. The cottage has everything you would need and probably items you didn’t think you would need but did.
The communication provided by the host in advance of our stay, exceeded my expectations and enabled us to reach our destination and check in and get settled. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen, well stocked, the water pressure and heat all on point. We loved the location as it had offstreet parking and super easy access to anything we wanted to do with or without the car. Having stayed here I can’t recommend it enough if you’re planning to visit Anchorage.
Best old fashioned hospitality vacation rental ever! We loved the updated historic log cottage and our hosts do VRBO the way it was before corporate rentals took over and furnished everything with IKEA. The art, very well stocked kitchen, and extra touches made our stay stress free and comfortable even in sub zero temps with a crazy windstorm. The tree in the front was blown over and Lee had it cleaned up in less than half a day while we were out and it wasn’t even in the way (thank God). Anchorage had a massive power line blow out and the house stayed cozy in spite of hours without power. We felt safe and quite comfortable in this cozy house. Definitely highly recommended!
Our stay was wonderful, the cottage was perfect and a great location. It was very well stocked with everything we needed.

About the host
Hosted by Pamela and Lee Jenkins
I moved into the house in 1994, and purchased it in 1998. Upon our marriage in 1999, my husband moved in with me. For 16 years this was our family home and saw the addition of two children. When the opportunity to buy a larger home nearby presented itself, we moved, but kept the house so we could give others the opportunity to experience downtown Anchorage living.
Why they chose this property
I bought this house because the area presented the kind of close-knit neighborhood feel I was looking for in a home. Although Anchorage is a very transient place, we have many neighbors who have been here for decades, just as I have been for over 20 years. At the same time, there have been new additions across all age groups, keeping the atmosphere fresh and lively.
What makes this property unique
You can walk to a bakery, a well-stocked grocery, and many downtown attractions. There are bus stops for 4 public transit buses within two blocks. And, if you're driving, the major roads into, out of, and through the city are easily accessible.
