This spacious villa (110m2), 5 bedrooms, sleeps 7/9. Private garden with patio. Situated 20km south of Perpignan and 20km north of the Spanish border at the foot of the Alberes Hills, making it an ideal base for exploring this sunny region. The peaceful village, with its' much visited Romanesque church and cloisters, has a lively market on Tuesdays and Fridays. There are several wine caves, two restaurants and the usual village shops and amenities. There is also a large supermarket 1km away. The lively seaside resort of Argeles with its' beach and nightlife is only 8km away.

Agréable séjour.

du 02 au 09 2022. Gîte spacieux. terrasse très agréable. Endroit calme. Table extérieure à changer ainsi que le clic-clac de la chambre au Rez-de-chaussée. Malgré cela nous avons passé un agréable séjour.

Deux semaines en Septembre

Séjour dans une région agréable, même si la maison ne répond pas vraiment à la description. Nous étions 9 comme prévu par la capacité d accueil, beaucoup de vaisselle inutile mais ustensiles de cuisine( poêle, cocotte...) en très mauvais état et inutilisables. Lors de notre arrivée, nous avons mentionné que la télévision ne fonctionnait pas mais aucune réaction de la part des propriétaires de tout le séjour. Des parasols cassés. Enfin la surprise d un prix affiché et payé en livres sterling avec bien sûr à l arrivée un prix en euros plus élevé. Dans son ensemble, location juste potable. Nous ne reviendrons pas dans cette location.

Séjour très agréable

Nous avons passé un séjour très agréable dans un quartier très très calme. Le logement comporte 5 belles chambres avec literies très correctes et une grande cuisine équipée avec tout le matériel nécessaire.(lave vaisselle....) La grande terrasse extérieure permet de prendre les repas en toute tranquillité.(barbecue à disposition) Une grande table de salon de jardin avec chaises et petit banc permet de s'y installer et d'apprécier le petit jardin orné de plantes méditerranéennes et petits arbustes .divers.Le centre du village est situé à environ 400 mètres ou l'on y trouve toute sorte de commerces (supérette, boulangerie, boucherie-charcuterie). Les plages se situent à une dizaine de kilomètres et l'on y accède très facilement avec un parking gratuit pour ce qui concerne la plage du Racou (port d'Argelès sur mer).Les montagnes sont à proximité et donnent un panorama très agréable. Seul petit bémol à notre séjour la télévision qui ne diffuse que des programmes en Espagnol et l'absence totale de réseau wifi. Toutefois, nous garderons un très bon souvenir de notre séjour.

Maison spacieuse et au calme mais décoration très très vieillotte. Elle est cependant équipée... sauf en wifi /tv et le reste (très peu de réseau et presque pas de 4G). Maison idéale si l'on recherche une petite retraite loin de la nouvelle technologie!!!!

Hazel and I are semi-retired pharmacists living in mid Wales. We bought the house in 1998 as a bolt hole for ourselves and our grown up three daughters and partners. We chose this area as Perpignan is the sunniest town in France which makes it a great contrast to Wales! We are both keen cyclists and it is an easy 30minutes ride mainly along flat dedicated cycle lanes to the sea. We have the Pyrenees just behind the house if we want some more challenging rides and often pop over to Spain for lunch. We particularly like visiting in February and March when the hills are yellow with Mimosa against a deep blue sky and the fruit trees cover the plain with pink blossom.
