Enchanting Villa with Panoramic Views

Expertly converted into highest standard home. It is a gem, set on high grounds with 3 large sunny terraces enjoying extensive views. A large south facing private pool, jacuzzi, deckchair area and a mature garden. Pool area is complemented with 8 seater table, under the shade of bamboo canopy, a shower and a BBQ. Children can be supervised from living-dining room and kitchen, while outside in pool area. It is furnished with 5 sets of sofas. One of the living rooms offers a warm setting with a leather sofa, TV, DVD and a rustic fireplace. From kitchen, living-room and dining room one can enjoy a sweet indoor garden. Limestone stairs lead to a lounge on the first floor which offers a marvelous scenery of landscape. There is bedroom on ground floor. The first floor comprises of three airconditioned bedrooms. A master bedroom, kitchenette, living room and 2 terraces are located on the second floor. From these rooms a breathtaking view of greenery can be enjoyed together with colorful fireworks during 8 village 'fiestas'.

Lovely villa

We enjoyed our stay in this lovely villa in Kercem. We used Bolt car service to get around the island. The property owner was very helpful. The house is gorgeous and peaceful.

Perfect for a large family

Laura was very easy to contact and accommodating. The farmhouse was very spacious allowing everyone privacy. The pool was very clean as was the house. We were very close to small markets and shops and Victoria was less than a mile away. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Great Experience

It was a stunning house with generous and comfortable rooms, close to victoria city. It had a very nice pool and jacuzzi. There was very swift and friendly communication with the owners, who were very much on hand when needed. Definitely reccomend the house.

We loved our time at the villa. It had everything we needed. Having 2 fridges is a real plus considering there was a few of us. The pool area got a lot of sun and we loved having bbqs.The views were stunning. There is a lot of room in the villa, so you can easily take time out. The hosts were excellent, always on hand to answer questions. They really went above and beyond. Thank you for an amazing stay :-)

Mixing old and new world charm

This lovely multi-level farmhouse in Kercem mixed old world charm with modern convenience and was perfect for our family of six. The location allowed us to tour Gozo with ease & was close enough to the ferry to easily allow a day trip back to Malta. Lawra and Louis were in touch before and during our stay & available whenever needed. We would highly recommend this location.

Gorgeous property, very communicative and accomodating host

The property is beautiful with a great view in a nice quiet location around a 20-minute walk from Victoria. There is a bus stop on the street if you don't want to walk. Laura was very communicative and helpful, arranging airport transport for us, providing recommendations, and helping us with any issues.

Stunning and massive villa, great hosts. Just book it!

Absolutely recommend this villa, it has the 'wow' factor and we loved our stay. The photos don't really do this place justice, the sheer size of it (one day we stayed in, and I still got my 10,000 steps on fitbit) and all of it beautifully decorated and very clean. Beautiful balconies and terraces with amazing views, down over the garden and pool, several living rooms. The architecture and masonry (local yellow limestone) alone is impressive and full of character. You can look out over the Citadella in Victoria/Rabat from top floor terrace (top floor could be a self contained flat if needed). Laura and Lois were lovely, even driving out to 'rescue' some of our party who got lost on the way there. Best property I have ever stayed at.

The house is great, very well equipped and the pool is perfect. I wasn’t aware that there would be constant fireworks every day morning noon and night for the entire week of our stay. I would have liked this to have been communicated for that week so I could have made that choice to go that week or another. Future guests I’d say do your research or ask the host about events during your stay. The people of Malta love their fireworks but it doesn’t make for a quiet break.

A piece of paradise.

This is one of the few times that the photos are not nearly as beautiful as the property. We were so happy to spend post touring afternoons in the pool courtyard. The rooms were comfortable, and the views from the terraces irresistible. Most importantly, Laura and Louis were the best possible hosts. They welcomed us, took care of us, had great conversations with us, and generally made us fall in love with Gozo. b

Fantastic property

we had our honeymoon at this property Sep/Oct 24 it did not disappoint. The property itself is outstanding, beautiful and very well maintained, the pictures do not do it justice. Lots of little snug areas if your in a large group and need a little time away from the crowd, the kitchen is excellent, large table in the dining room and outside area. The pool area is fantastic, we especially loved the BBQ. The Hosts Laura and Louis were absolutely amazing and extremely helpful and kind, we absolutely loved our stay here. The location is great, just a short walk into Victoria and if you dont fancy walking there is a bus stop a few meters up the road (the bus service is excellent). Overall we loved it, it was perfect for us and we will be coming back.

The Foundation of a Perfect Holiday

We had the pleasure of staying in this farmhouse over Easter and it was better than expected. There was a tremendous amount of character throughout the property and it was perfectly appointed for seven people. Everything was spotlessly clean and Laura was a fantastic host - making sure we had everything we needed and offering suggestions for activities and outings throughout our stay. She even did a great job arranging airport transfers for our two parties. There were enough shops within walking distance for groceries and Victoria was an easy 10 minute walk for restaurants and other amenities. Kercem is quiet but an easy launching point for all excursions. Unfortunately the weather wasn't quite warm enough to enjoy the pool or jacuzzi but it was clean and maintained to the same level as the rest of the villa (perfectly!)

Wir hatten eine wunderbare Zeit

Das Haus ist einmalig und mit viel liebe zum Detail eingerichtet und gebaut worden. Hervorzuheben ist auch die Sauberkeit. Wir haben selten eine Unterkunft erlebt, die so sauber war wie diese. Ein Aufenthalt ist nur zu empfehlen, alles, was man braucht, ist vorhanden.

PERFECT

We hadden spijt dat we niet langer geboekt hadden. Het huis is gewoonweg schitterend en de eigenaars heel vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Supermarkt, bakker, apotheek, bushalte, bar/restaurant...is allemaal vlakbij. Je kan te voet naar Victoria, uitstappen doen of....gewoonweg lekker daar blijven.

Relaxing stay in Kercem

Spacious traditional Gozitan farmhouse beautifully restored by the owners, with a delightful garden and stunning views towards the Citadel in Victoria. We were made to feel extremely welcome by Laura and Louis, who were very friendly and helpful, and we had a very relaxing and enjoyable stay.

The best private rental we've ever done! Amazing property, service, location and owners

100% recommend this property, the pictures really do not do it justice. The love and dedication to the restoration is evident in every room and every part of the property. The owners couldn't do enough to help us. The location is perfect as it's in the centre of the island and pretty close to a lovely town square for when you've had enough of the lovely pool and tranquility. As for Gozo, it’s in my top 3 places in the world due to its friendly laid back nature with wonderful locals. We are already planning on returning for 2020 which is unusual for us as we don't tend to return to places.

The house is so large and beautiful. The pool is really great. We (2 families) enjoyed ourselves thoroughly swimming, having bbq, and eating and playing games. Gozo is stunning too with lots of areas to explore and activities to do. The hosts, Laura and Louis, were so friendly and went above and beyond to make us welcome. Thank-you so much for your hospitality and for the delicious wine and Halloween sweets for the children. In the words of my 10 year old daughter: "Laura and Louis are so kind, as I'm sure you'll soon find. I'm so sad to say goodbye, We will visit again sometime"

Don't look elsewhere if you need accomm in Gozo!

From the wonderful hosts to the fantastic property everything about this stay was excellent. The pictures really do not do justice to this expansive accommodation and wonderful outside areas. The pool is actually a proper swimming pool rather than a plunge pool and the surrounding area is delightful for lying around in the sun. The location of the property is great too with a bus stop nearby for trips out and about and with shops only a stones throw away. If you feel energetic as we did then you can easily walk into Victoria (and back) and to a wonderful nearby bay. We travelled as a 2 family group and there was more than enough room to find our own space with a number of sitting area choices available. Finally, the jewel in the crown has to be the helpfulness and welcome from Laura and Louis who went out of their way on more than one occasion to ensure our needs were met and indeed they excelled in making sure we left happy :)

First impressions of a holiday rental usually don’t live up to the photographs but that was not the case with Laura and Louis’ house, everything was perfect and actually exceeded our expectations. Laura was very helpful during the booking process replying promptly to my many emails, arranging transport to and from the airport and having a welcome pack ready for us which included some of Louis’ delicious tomatoes, melons and plums. Louis called every three days to clean the pool and both he and Laura were available if we needed anything. We were an extended family of eight, four adults, three teenagers plus a nine year old and there was plenty of space for all of us to have some peace and quiet if we wanted. As an early riser I enjoyed sitting on the top balcony watching the sun rise from behind the Citadella in Victoria and thought it was even more impressive than the sunset at Dwerja Bay. We were pleased to discover two grocery shops, a butchers and a bakers close by (I miss buying fresh bread from David’s Bakery). There is also a bus stop a few yards from the house however we usually walked into Victoria, which took around 20 minutes, when we could drag ourselves away from the pool. We used the local buses from Victoria when we wished to explore Gozo and visit the beaches recommended by Laura and Louis, my favourite was Marsalforn although the younger ones in our party preferred Ramla. We were lucky to experience the Kercem festa during our first week seeing lights, banners, flags and statues put up each day. We attended the BBQ, watched the processions with brass bands and best of all the firework show which we all agreed were the best we had ever seen. The church bells ringing and fireworks during the day, which sounded like cannons, may not have been to everyone’s taste but it was all part of the atmosphere for us. We all loved our holiday in Gozo and would not stay anywhere else but Laura and Louis’ wonderful Il-Kiffixija should we return to the island. AMAZING

Words cannot describe, I Am thinking of blocking up the Door and staying here forever now that would be perfect! Definitely would be looking into coming here again, everything has been 10/10 and still have 2 more sleeps here. If I won the lottery I would move to Gozo without a second thought. Kercèm is so chilled out, relaxing and very quiet. And as for the Farmhouse, I could Easily live here as it has everything anyone would want. Laura and Louis are Great people and are so helpful in every way. Malta, Gozo & Kercèm

Stunning views, gorgeous outdoor space.

Cannot recommend this property highly enough! Stunning views from the two raised terraces, gorgeous private outside area with lovely pool and seating areas, airy, clean rooms and perfect hosts! This was our first visit to Gozo and the house was in a great location to explore the island. We hired a car, but good local bus services mean that this isn't necessary. Laura and Louis have created a beautiful house, with a high quality finish. They went out of their way to make us feel very welcome. Their generosity and friendliness was very much appreciated. We hope to return again one day. X
