Large 5 Bedroom Sea Front Family Home in Aberdovey Village which sleeps 11.

The house is located in Aberdovey village. It's on the sea front and is south facing, benefiting from extensive views of the Dovey estuary and hills to the front of the house and to a small beach. The house comprises of a large hall which is ideal for hanging up coats as well by as storing prams or just getting ready for your days activities. The hall has a downstairs toilet and shower room. The hall leads into the main body of the house which has 2 sitting rooms with large TV’s in each. There is also a large kitchen/diner to the rear of the property. Upstairs there are 2 king size bedrooms and one super king bedroom all at the front of the property and then to the rear are 2 single beds in one rear bedroom and finally in room 5 there are a set of bunk beds and a single bed in this large room. The village of Aberdovey has many pleasant shops, pubs, restaurants, and cafes, and is about 400 yards from the property. Aberdovey was voted the third best place to live in the whole of the UK in a recent TV programme. There is a 5 mile length of golden beach adjacent the village which stretches to the village of Tywyn. Many water activities are available including sailing, fishing (including charter boats), wind surfing, and kite surfing. Other activities include walking, bird watching, pitch and putt, tennis, and bowls. Aberdovey championship links golf course is about a mile from the house, and visitors are made very welcome. The award winning Penhelig Arms hotel is just a minutes walk from the house.

Great family holiday home!

We've visited Morlais time and time again. It's spacious, clean and welcoming. Beautiful views and a short walk to the beach, it's ideal. We love it and it has suited our family with an age range of 2 years to 83 years!

The property was situated close to the beach, shops and restaurants. It was well equiped with evetything you could need. The host was very friendly and accomaditing. Would stay at this property again.

Excellent accommodation

Very well appointed. There was even a dishwasher which hadn't been mentioned. The weather was much better than forecast, and we thoroughly enjoyed the beach and nearby walks.

Deceptively spacious house

Lovely week in this house. We were 3 families. Made use of the 2 car park passes and were able to park the other car in the road alongside the car park. We spent most of our time in the kitchen/dining room which is a nice communal area. Showers were really powerful. Location is great for train station and walking down to the main area. Recommend the Indian restaurant and Dovey Inn.

Family holiday

We had a lovely family holiday with 9 of us (3 generations) staying in the house. It was spacious, the configuration of bedrooms worked for our family and the kitchen was well equipped. The location was great in terms of proximity to the beach and the views across the estuary were beautiful. We would have appreciated WiFi access and would have preferred for the end of holiday cleaning to be part of the package rather than having the responsibility ourselves.

Really lovely house . Excellent in all ways . Minor irritation re parking but sea side location made up for this!I would suggest instructions for eg how to operate the central heating controls . We did it by guess work . Also the rubbish had not been emptied , I suppose because of the day the bin men come doesn’t coincide with change over days.All over excellent . A lovely place to stay .Thankyou.

Nice house in quiet area

Good spot near the Penheliq hotel, easy access down into the water for paddleboarding. Short walk into the town, but great views from the house having your breakfast in the morning. Wi fi not great this end of town, so if you have a gaming child there life may be unduly impacted by the unstable internet for gaming (leave the gaming at home) 😃 Host was nice Michelle, answered queries quickly, but you do need to return the key by registered post after your stay. Cleaning could have been better by the local company, as house was mainly clean, but the hosts haven’t been for a while (hence cleaning company could have cleaned the house fully) All in all a good stay and would stay here again. The host welcomed any feedback.

Nice location

Location was great, right on the sea with great views and a short walk from amenities. Bit difficult with older, disabled relatives as only way to drop them off is to park on double-yellows on a narrow bend, then move the car up the road to the public car park (permits provided). But house was spacious and well furnished. Only thing we would have liked was a tumble dryer to deal with the wet clothes and washing.

Nice property, very comfortable and clean. Everything you need is provided. Aberdovey is a lovely place. Parking was a bit of a pain to unload the car but parking at the car park wasn’t too bad.

Perfect family getaway

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Aberdovey. The house was clean, spacious and well kitted out. The on-road location is not ideal but it didn’t seem to matter. Aberdovey had something for everyone - the beach, sand dunes, hills, shops (especially the ice cream shop!), pubs, restaurants… I needn’t have worried about the parking. Most of the time our 2 cars were parked 30m from the front door. And the car park was close by anyway. This was our first holiday in this part of the world and I’m pretty sure we’ll be coming back.

Pleasantly surprised!

It was so much roomier than I expected and very well equipped and comfortable. We liked the kitchen diner for meals and games around the table. Having two living rooms was helpful too. We had mostly lovely weather until the last two days and had great days on the beach swimming and playing games. I loved the view from my bed over the estuary! Being on the road was a slight drawback but we managed well enough with the car parking. Thank you.

Fabulous mini break in Aberdovey

From start to finish we have no complaints. We've not used this site before so were a little bit apprehensive but it was easy to choose and book a property. The property itself was stunning and in a beautiful location. As we only stayed for a short weekend break we didn't utilise the kitchen but it was well equipped and had everything you would need to cater for a large group. The owner was very helpful from the start and recommended things to do in the local area. The house was clean and perfect for what we needed. Thank you very much for letting us stay in your beautiful home. Hopefully next time we can come for a longer stay 😊

We are a family of 5 who have had many a fantastic holiday in Aberdovey. The activities have changed as the children have grown up from playing on the beach and crabbing to now kayaking, paddle boarding and jumping off the jetty. This house holds so many great family memories both for us and our extended family. I have worked within special needs secondary education for 18 years which is a very rewarding job and also has the bonus of having all the school holidays which has been fantastic for family life.

Why they chose this property

This property has so much to offer both internally and within Aberdovey. The house is a large 5 bedroom house, 2 king size beds, 1 super king bed, 1 twin room and 1 single bed and 1 set of bunk beds. The house also has a cot and travel cot plus high chair. The kitchen dinner is great to get together for meals or playing games with the family. There is a large hall which is ideal for all those shoes and coats. Opposite the house there is a pebble beach which is ideal to sit, read, sunbath have family bbq's, or launching the kayaks, paddle boards or just to go for a swim. Just down the road is a large beach to enjoy playing on, sunbathing or going for a paddle in the sea. There are numerous pubs, restaurants cafe's, ice cream shops and much more, all add to a perfect holiday. Aberdovey is a beautiful place, unspoilt with lots of activities within the village an surrounding area.
