The hamlet belongs to the owners and their family so you are free to explore the well kept woody lanes and paths and surrounding fields and explore the domain as you wish. Or you may want to spend most of your time just browsing in the sun or dining in the shade.

A lovely place

Absolutely perfect for a relaxing family getaway

We arranged a family holiday with grandparents, brother and sister in-law, their 5 month old baby, and our 2 kids 5&8years. We really just wanted a place to relax and spend some time together as we live very far apart. It was the perfect getaway. The pool absolutely idyllic and the surrounding area peaceful and scenic. It was easy to access groceries nearby and some very beautiful French villages easy access as well. Julie and Jean-Luc were friendly and very easy to communicate with. Nothing was a problem. Would love to come back one day!

Superbe gîte très confrotable et calme total

Nous avons passé d'excellentes vacances dans ce gîte qui convenaient parfaitement à nos attentes. Propre, piscine très agréable, 3 frigos, un congélateur, propriétaires très accueillants, discrets, sympathiques et qui donnent de précieux conseils sur la région. La journée est rythmée par les cloches de la petite chapelle voisine (pas la nuit, rassurez vous). Il ne manque rien dans le gîte. A éviter si on n'aime pas le calme ! Nous, on a adoré !

Belles vacances dans un superbe endroit

Nous avons passés des très belles vacances dans ce superbe gite. La situation du lieux est exceptionelle, les proprietaires sont d'une grande gentillesse et discrétion, et le gite tres bien équipé. La piscine chauffee est un gros plus. Nous recommandons vraiment ce logement de vacances.

Une très belle location calme et ressourçante

Nous avons passé une excellente semaine chez Jean-Luc et Julie dans cette très belle location, dans la campagne ariégeoise. La maison est bien aménagée et très fonctionnelle. La piscine est parfaite pour toute la famille, pour les petits et les grands : fermée et sécurisée avec en plus un fond surélevé tout autour. Les alentours proposent des balades magnifiques en nature (les sapins géants!) ou sur les sites cathares : Montségur, Roquefixade... Le village de Mirepoix est très joli aussi. Si vous souhaitez du calme et vous ressourcer, cette location est pour vous !! Merci à Julie et Jean-Luc pour leur accueil et leur bienveillance.

De woning is prachtig gelegen. Heel mooi zicht van zowel zwembad als van het terras. De regio is iets minder toeristisch maar toch zijn er leuke dingen te ontdekken. De wandeling op het terrein van de eigenaar is heel leuk en geanimeerd. Een locatie waar je de sterren perfect kunt zien. Ook hebben we heel wat reeën gezien. Overdekte terrassen is een pluspunt. We zijn heel vriendelijk en behulpzaam ontvangen geweest.

Pour le calme, c'est réussi même un peu trop....mais bon il y a des locataires qui aiment ça. Les proprios sont adorables et au petit soin pour leurs locataires Un peu retiré, mais un super domaine a visiter (surtout cette église rénové par tous ses bénévoles, magnifique. Merci au neveu pour ses explications Des belles ballades à pieds et en quad !!!! Merci Jean-luc Enfin pour conclure un endroit à découvrir.... Avis au amoureux d'histoire.

Ein Ort für die perfekte Erholung

Das Haus liegt wunderbar ruhig und bietet einen schönen Ausblick auf die Pyrenäen. Die Ausstattung ist sehr gut und die Gastgeber sind sehr nett und diskret.Der Pool mit 28 Grad warmem Wasser und vielen Liegen ist ein Highlight.

Furthermore, I will not be far if you have a problem, want information about the area and what is going on, or just a chat. You may occasionally meet me in the pool when it gets a bit hot. Jean Luc my husband is French. He is a retired landscape gardener, which explains the beautifully kept gardens and country sides. The Roubichoux hamlet of nearly 95 Hectares(234 Acers) of fields and woodlands belongs to the family.
Jean Luc my husband and I just have 2 grown up boys now both living away.
For nature lovers, here you will discover a lot of wild life around the villa and in the nearby surroundings. You will get to see rabbits, fox, wild boar, deer and a wide variety of birds and birds of prey if you are an early bird, or just lucky.

Why they chose this property

We built our home and the gîte 'Tour Basse' that sleeps up to 9 people our selves here in the Kercorb region, because of the beauty and the calm. Initially it was part of our home, later we decided to let it out to holidaymakers who wish to discover this beautiful region. That means that you feel that you are staying in a home rather than a bland holiday rental. Jean Luc and myself love to take walks in the domain in some of the many well-kept windy paths in the woods of the family's domain.
Our self-catering villa is in a truly romantic setting on southern facing slopes of the foothills of the Pyrenees. It has glorious views. You have free use of the heated pool, with power jet swimming. The hamlet has its own restored ancient chapel, a semi-natural amphitheater, a castle ruin, a vineyard and woodlands where children can play in security and adults can roam in peace and quiet, a nature lovers paradise. There is no through traffic. Yet despite the rural calm one is only 10 minutes drive from shops and 20 mins from the historic bastide of Mirepoix, 50 mins from Carcassonne

At the Tour Basse you will find the ideal summer holiday rental for a large extended family or two families holidaying together looking for high quality self-catering facilities in a beautiful environment.
There is lots of space to play outside, so our holiday home is ideal for families with children as there is no danger of traffic or strangers passing by. We are happy to except well-behaved pets in our holiday home as long as the owners except the house rules and understand their responsibility.
