Perfect for a comfortable stay in pretty surroundings near St. Ives
The house is attractive, well organised and comfortable in a quiet location (no-one else in the farm development in October). Fabulous walking from the front door. Great views from the nearby cliffs. So handy for St. Ives.

Thanks for that lovely review. I’m very pleased you had a relaxing and enjoyable holiday - and great walks from the front door! Please do come again.
We had a wonderful stay in this spacious, beautifully and thoughtfully appointed house outside St Ives. The location had an open, country feel while being a refreshing and easy walk or short drive into the historic and cultural centre of St Ives. Communication with the helpful, friendly and responsive host, Barbara, was excellent and we certainly look forward to our next stay there.

We had an amazing stay in this property. The location is fantastic. We walked into St Ives several times via the coastal path and the views were stunning.
The property itself is well-maintained and full of character. Barbara was incredibly helpful and responsive to any questions. Overall, we highly recommend this property and hope to stay again!

A lovely property situated in the hamlet of Trowan. Great communication from the owner/manager before, during and after the stay. Lovely house, tastefully furnished and well equipped. Everything worked as it should, and we had a lovely time. Highly recommended for anyone who is looking for somewhere to truly unwind.

Very pleased you enjoyed your New Year break! I especially like your comment about ‘a place to truly unwind’
Do come back..
Best wishes for 2023..
We had wonderful weather all week in Cornwall and our stay could not have been better! A beautifully appointed home and Barbara was available to communicate with for anything we needed. We walked a lot and Trowan is the perfect location for either the Coastal Path and or the inland path which we took to Zennor. Particularly enjoyed The Gunnard's Head and Porthminster Kitchen for dinner.

Tranquil location within walking distance of St Ives
This really is a splendid holiday location. The house is homely, set in farmland with its own garden. Sea and hill views, and paths from the house that take you to St Ives and the coastal path. We had a brilliant week in April and are likely to return! We visited the Geevor Tin mine which is excellent, and did lots of hiking. Also booked in for surf lessons with the St Ives Surf School, very friendly and encouraging. All in all, I highly recommend a stay at Haulfre, Trowan.

Beautiful house in scenic location
Lovely family holiday in a beautiful part of Cornwall. We all enjoyed exploring the area, the coast, the sea and the countryside. The house is very well appointed and was ideally suited to our needs. Having two bathrooms was great. We enjoyed using the wood burner in the evenings. The garden was a lovely sun trap. Thank you

So pleased to hear your holiday at Haulfre, Trowan was enjoyable. And you had wonderful weather I think. Thanks for being perfect guests - please do return in not too long..
The cottage couldn't have been more comfortable! It was also very well equipped and in a truly magnificent location. Our younger teen loved the raised platform bed, and we all slept extremely well all week. Barbara's advance information enabled us to plan our stay - catching the bus into the centre of St Ives, visiting the Tremenseere Sculpture park - highly recommended, even on a very misty day! - and enjoying a beautiful walk along the coastal path around Zennor. Thank you Barbara, we had a really lovely holiday.
Myself and my family have absolutely loved staying at Halfre, Trowan Farm. Barbara was very helpful from the outset and gave us all the information we needed. The location is spectacular, within easy reach of St Ives and the coastal path with it's stunning scenery. The property itself was clean, tastefully decorated and full of character with a lovely garden overlooking fields. I can't recommend this place enough, we had great time and to top it off the weather was magnificent.

Comfortable surroundings in a fabulous location!
We had a super relaxing time despite the best attempts of Storm Doris to challenge our plans. The property has everything you need to ensure you have a cosy time whether you stay in or venture out.
The location is exceptional with fabulous sea and open countryside views. We managed to walk most days without needing the car which is such a bonus. The coastline is so dramatic and exhilarating and St Ives so picturesque.
Barbara (the owner) is incredibly helpful and goes out of her way to ensure you have a great stay. The property itself offers both space and cosiness and has pretty much everything you will need during your stay.
Very happy with both the locations and the property. We hope to come back some day to explore further.

So pleased Storm Doris didn't spoil things for you! I know you did some good walks and visits - please come back and explore further afield. There's so much to see and do in the area. Best wishes and thanks for the great and useful comments for future holidaymakers..B
The Cottage is in a secluded location alongside some other properties but has the best spot with the best views - sea, hills, fields and sunsets. The interior is contemporary comfort. Everything is good quality and very nicely chosen for a comfortable but contemporary feel. One end looks outside through French doors into a garden and Cornish nature and the other centres around a very cosy log burner . Perfect in all weathers . The kitchen is superbly equipped. St Ives is a 30-50 minute beautiful walk and you can walk for as long as you want in the other direction through pretty farmsteads or along the coast. We loved our time here.

Really delighted you loved Haulfre so much..! Out of season can be brilliant..
It sounds like you did some of the best walks - along the coast to Zennor and back through the fields and farms.
You were lovely guests - we hope to see you again at Trowan..
We stayed here for 4 nights and thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The location (very near St. Ives but in an idyllic country setting) was perfect for exploring the southwest of England. Penzance, St. Just and Land’s End are easy drives and Mousehole was a very picturesque village. The Levant tin mine and steam engine tour was fascinating and is not to be missed.
The house was everything as described and more. The owner was easy to communicate with and could not have been more helpful.
As might be expected in February, the weather was a bit rainy so we didn’t get to do as much walking as we would have liked, but that didn’t keep us from having a great experience.
The owner, the house and the location are five stars all the way. We hope to return to Cornwall and stay here again someday.
A beautiful, clean, well kept, cottage in a fantastic, quiet but convenient location for St Ives and the surrounding area. We (4 adults and dog) had a lovely 10 day break at the beginning of June. Standout features are that the cottage is spacious with different reception areas, there are fantastic countryside and sea views, the gardens are beautiful and well kept. The hosts also kindly left a generous welcome pack. All in all a beautiful, comfortable and relaxing place to stay. Would definitely recommend and like a return visit ourselves.
