Trefin is a small, unspoilt coastal village surrounded by some of Pembrokeshire's most beautiful scenery. From the cottage you can set off on foot towards the coast and Pembrokeshire Coast Path, explore nearby coves and beaches, or enjoy a drink or meal at the village pub without needing to take the car.
St Davids, Britain's smallest city, is a short drive away, with its cathedral, independent shops, cafés and restaurants. The cottage is also well placed for exploring Porthgain, Abereiddy and the wider north Pembrokeshire coast.
This is a much-loved family home rather than an anonymous holiday property. I grew up in Trefin and my family still live in the village, so we know and love this part of Pembrokeshire very well. We want guests to feel comfortable here and to enjoy the area as much as we do.

About the host
Hosted by Heidi and Bruce
We live in England with our 2 children, our two cats and two dogs. We both work, but spend most of our holidays at our home in Trefin, enjoying the spectacular beaches and coastal walks that are right on our doorstep. In fact Heidi was brought up in Trefin, where her parents still live and we have many friends in the village. So it really feels like home when we are there.
Why they chose this property
We chose the property with a view to moving into the village some time in the future, so we have put our heart and soul into the place.
Heidi felt privileged growing up in Trefin, surrounded by endless coastline within walking distance, as well as numerous coves and bays, she could walk or cycle to everyday. Our kids can't get enough of the place.
Even in the height of summer, it is easy to find secluded beaches and walks all to yourself.
There is a staggering amount and variety of activities to enjoy in Pembrokeshire, whether you have children, are into arts and crafts, history and archaeology, boating, fishing, extreme sports, theme parks, wildlife and marine life, or simply want to get away from it all to relax in peace and quiet.
What makes this property unique
Our house is recently decorated and everything, including floors, windows, kitchen and bathrooms, is brand new. It is a very spacious property with oak flooring or tiles, high ceilings and underfloor heating downstairs. Other features such as the log burner, flat screen TV, american sized fridge freezer, large induction hob stove, separate utility, chandeliers, hotel standard bathrooms and generously sized beds, plus balcony off dining room french doors, contribute to the luxury feel.
The house was also decorated with children's safety in mind. Apart from stair gates, and optional fire guard and plug covers, the spacious garden is fully enclosed and the balcony decking leading onto the lawn is as non slip as possible.
