You'll be in Edinburgh's most splendid Georgian location amidst this UNESCO World Heritage site. Here the grand façade is arranged around a lavish circular garden, with restricted road access affording it a surreal sense of calm and silence - perhaps best appreciated after dark under the New Town's atmospheric white street lights.
Despite the peace, bohemian Stockbridge is a delightful 5 minute walk along cobbled streets, whilst George Street's high-end shops and venues are similarly close by to the south.
Accessed via a private gate down a short stone staircase, the front door can be found opening onto a sunny but sheltered courtyard which is a magical spot for al-fresco breakfasting or evening drinks. Once inside the open-plan layout is clean, comfortable and fully-equipped for your stay, with enough period features (high skirting boards and working shutters) to remind you where you are.
