About the host
Hosted by Carol Ballett
The Captain's House is owned by Mark and Carol. It is their home which they wish to share with holidaymakers wanting to enjoy the delights of Falmouth and its harbour, beaches and coastal walks.
We set the Captain's House up as a holiday home in 2014.
Why they chose this property
We love The Captain's House for its fabulous views of the harbour, quiet location and close proximity to town, ferries and walks. We really enjoy Falmouth for the stunning coastal walks and the town as there is always so much going on. We love going to the beaches in all seasons, and many of them are walking distance. The great part is you can leave your car in the garage and enjoy so much that Falmouth has to offer. Even take the ferry across to St Mawes or to Flushing.
What makes this property unique
We love relaxing in the house and then wandering down to Falmouth to enjoy the coastal walks, pubs, restaurants, shops, sailing, harbour cruises and the fascinating Maritime museum.
The house is beautifully preserved with lovely period features. It has plenty of space to relax with family and friends. In spring and summer we enjoy the light, the garden and the views and in the winter its the warm fires. We have also furnished it with antiques, art and family heirlooms that complement the property.
Falmouth is an event lead town with fun activities and entertainment throughout the year. It is all easily accessible from the house. Yet when you're at home it is so peaceful and quiet.
