Picturesque, comfortable and roomy lodging for 4 adults. The kitchen was very well equipped. The host, Susan, was welcoming and attentive and we found this home to be ideally located for visiting Bayeaux, the Normandy beaches and Mont Saint Michel.

À wonderful house in à gorgeous setting. Very private . Very well considered- the house has everything you need and is really comfortable to be in . Great showers, good beds. Well equipped kitchen . Beautiful garden and fantastic location only 15mins from Bayeux, which we loved. Susan the host was very welcoming whilst always respectful of our privacy.We had a wonderful stay x

Central location for D-Day experiences

Quaint cottage a few km’s west of Bayeux for perfect for exploring the Normandy countryside and D-Day beaches and inland sites. Very enjoyable place to stay

Very nice house with friendly landlords

We had a lovely stay and realy enjoyed Normandy. The cottage is close to many intersting sites and beautiful cities. We realy recommend a stay!

Susan was fabulous. We arrived to a warming fire she had started in the fireplace as well as foodstuffs she had ready to get us started. She was incredibly responsive to our every whim. Loved the house and the hostess!

Cosy nice renovated old farmhouse

The accommodation is part of an old farmhouse what is rather central located in the Normandie Calvados area. The accommodation is comfortable with a well equipped kitchen. The lady who rents the accommodation lives in the same farmhouse as well and is very friendly and gives good advice about places to visit and things to do.

Fabulously Comfortable Gite

We stayed for a few nights whilst playing tennis tournaments in the area. The gite was everything we could have hoped for and more. A wonderful relaxing place to come back to at the end of a busy day. Fabulously well equipped kitchen, gorgeous showers, comfy beds. We ate outdoors every evening and then wandered around the garden and said hello to the cows in the next door field. The owners are next door and are charming and helpful. We really hope to return.

Wonderful, pleasant Gite. Accommodations. Stove top didnt work. Showers need shower caddies or shelf. Well stocked kitchen equipment. Could use more silverware.

Superb

A first class cottage in an ideal location for Normandy - especially Calvados - and perfect for visiting the D-Day invasion areas with a drive of no more than an hour to the furthest reaches of the landing sites. Susan, the owner, met us at the cottage and showed us around to familiarise us with the property which we found to be excellent in every sense. This cottage is particularly well appointed and, being a fairly new refurbishment, has very high specifications. The rooms are suitable for a family or for two couples and we spent a few highly enjoyable days at the cottage and in the local area. We would thoroughly recommend this cottage to any perspective renters as it is, literally, just as described and even better than the photographs can portray it. Thank you Susan and Andrew.

Perfect location, Lovely Cottage

This cottage is in a perfect location for seeing the sights of Normandy and for making day trips to the D-Day beaches, Mt. Saint Michele, Bayeux, etc. The cottage is newly renovated, immaculate, comfortable, and has a well-equipped kitchen for those nights of cooking in. The bathrooms are beautifully tiled with towels like new, and the bedrooms were very quiet and comfortable. Susan, the owner, was so easy to deal with throughout the booking process with her quick responses to emails and information. She was at the cottage to greet us upon our arrival with a warm welcome and showed us around the house. We really appreciated her outstanding restaurant recommendations and overall helpfulness during our stay. Our only regret was that we weren't there long enough to enjoy the beautiful setting of Susan's and Andrew's farm. We would highly recommend the cottage to others traveling in Normandy. Thank you, Susan and Andrew.

Une belle fermette rénovée avec goût et beaucoup de style. Ne vous fiez pas à l'annonce abritel "un chalet tranquille et confortable (avec des inconvénients modernes), ce ne sont pas des "inconvénients" mais des "équipements" modernes. En effet, la cuisine est super équipée et fonctionnelle. Susan et son mari sont des gens très sympathiques et accueillants et toujours prêts à rendre service. Que ce soit pour les plages, l'Histoire ou le repos (voire la crème et le fromage de Normandie), c'est l'endroit idéal pour se ressourcer. Nous y retournerons.

Sehr schönes und geräumiges Haus mit nettem Vorgarten zum Essen. Hinter dem Haus gibt es einen weiteren großen Garten zur allerdings stark befahrenen Straße. Das Haus hat drei Bäder (!!), eine sehr große Küche, ein großes Wohnzimmer und zwei geräumige Zimmer im ersten Stock mit jeweils einem Bad. Zum Omaha Beach und nach Bayeux fährt man 20 Minuten. Insgesamt sehr schön und abseits der Touristenmassen um August. Sehr nette und hilfsbereite Vermieter (Engländer).

Ein sehr angnehmer Aufenthalt in einem günstig gelegenen, sehr schönen Haus bei netten Gastgebern.

Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt. Die sehr freundlichen und hilfsbereiten Gastgeber wohnen direkt nebenan. Das charmante, liebevoll renovierte alte Haus ist geräumig und mit Allem, was man braucht eingerichtet, hat einen Obstgarten und eine gemütliche Terrasse. Es liegt verkehrsgünstig, Omaha Beach, Bayeux und etliche andere Sehenswürdigkeiten sind in ca. 1/4 Stunde zu erreichen. Wir werden gerne wiederkommen!

Super séjour dans cette maisonnette

La maison des Hooker est idéalement située pour faire la visite des plages du débarquement des musées et divers memoriaux et cimetières militaires. Le lieu est très très bien équipé avec plein de petites attention (des dosettes se café, du sucre, de l'huile du vinaigre des épices.) Le linge fourni dont les serviettes est très appréciable quand on arrive en avion. Le mieu dispose aussi d'un lave linge d'un lave vaisselle sèche cheveux bouilloire etc... Il manquerait peut être juste une TV Un petit jardin permet de profiter de l'extérieur. La maison est située en lisière de forêt à proximité de la route un peu passante mais cela reste très agréable. Les propriétaires habitent la maison à côté et sont toujours à disposition si besoin. Je recommande de à 100%

Lovely place in Normandy

The cottage is well equipped and very spacious, the perfect place for a nice stay in Normandy, close to many interesting places to visit. The hosts are very kind people, always in for a nice chat and providing tips for trips in the surrounding. We've had a great time and highly recommend this place for a good holiday!

Beau séjour en Normandie

Nous avons passé un très agréable séjour dans cette maison bien située pour visiter les plages du débarquement et bien équipée. L'endroit est calme malgré la proximité de la route et les propriétaires sont charmants et répondent à toutes nos demandes.
