About this property

North Cyprus sunset sea views, private BBQ roof terrace and two communal pools

The apartment has a large open plan kitchen/dining and living area with patio doors opening on to a large terrace with seating, so you can enjoy the sunsets right in front of you. The kitchen is very well equipped with everything you need and more. The bedrooms (one with ensuite facilities) are at the back, shut off from the living area by a door so perfect for families with children who go to bed early. There is also a family bathroom next to the second bedroom. The apartment is situated right at the top end of the development 'away from it all' yet only a short walk to one of the communal pools, which is often completely empty, so you may have it all to yourselves. There is a shaded pergola there with sunbeds and parasols and sunbed mattresses are provided. From the pool terrace, there are amazing views over the ravine and towards the sea. Even in the height of summer, there is always a refreshing breeze here. Our huge roof terrace has sunbeds for sunbathing and sofas to lounge on, as well as a dining table and a built-in BBQ for alfresco dining - and 180 degree sea and mountain views to die for! At night you can star gaze. You can often see shooting stars.

Alison and Eddie are lovely hosts, communication with them was easy and they were quick to respond to any queries. The property had all the facilities and amenities we needed. The place was clean, peaceful and private with access to a beautiful private roof terrace with amazing views of the sea, mountains and fabulous sunsets. Most days we had the pool to ourselves and our walks in the surrounding areas were also beautiful and peaceful. Can't wait to go back :-)

Fabulous Apartment

My family and I throughly enjoyed are stay and Eddie and Alison was excellent host's. The apartment literally has everything you could need and more. Eddie and Alison was also kind enough to leave milk, bread, butter, beers wine and more which was extremely appreciated as we arrive early in the morning. A very enjoyable stay

This was our first trip to North Cyprus and after some research we selected Alison & Eddie's apartment for it's location and the appeal of their site details. We were not disappointed because in all round terms we were very satisfied because we found everything that we needed to make our holiday enjoyable in the apartment, which is well equipped and has lovely, elevated views of the coast. The beaches are nearby as are numerous places to eat or enjoy a drink and we found them all very welcoming. Kyrenia is 1/2 hour away and we were easily able to explore most of the north during our stay. We would have no hesitation in recommending the apartment to couples and small families.

Wonderful!

Having never been to Cyprus before, we weren't sure what to expect but we'd heard good things about Northern Cyprus and weren't disappointed! From the off Alison answered all our questions and even arranged the taxi transfer, car hire and offered to do some food shopping for us (which we took her up on) as we were due to arrive late in the evening. When we arrived Alison and Eddie were waiting for us with the key and helped us up the stairs with our luggage. The apartment was beautifully clean and equipped with everything you could wish for, a proper home from home. There is a lovely view of the sea from the balcony and an amazing 360 view of the sea and mountains from the private roof terrace, where we also took advantage of the barbeque. There are two good sized shared pools in the complex, and we tended to use the slightly smaller one closest to the apartment which had a lovely view of the sea. Most of the time we had the pool to ourselves which is rare for August! There is no shallow end for kids in either pool but fortunately our kids (8 and 10) are both now good swimmers. You definitely need a car in this location, but there are plenty of bars and restaurants within a 10 minute drive, as well as a couple of small supermarkets. The closest large supermarket is about 30 mins away. The are good sandy beach options all within 15 mins drive. Many thanks to Alison and Eddie for being on hand to answer all our questions throughout. All in all a wonderful holiday!

This is one of those rare occasions when everything viewed on-line proved to be correct. The apartment was as good as advertised, as was the location. The owners/landlords are great people and proved to be a source of great information and recommendations on places to see and things to do. I would definitely recommend this property to others.

From first contact to last, great communication and fast response, the owners are very helpful and kind. The apartment is fully equipped, clean, quiet and comfortable. Beautiful views and restful, especially on the rooftop. The location is superb for walking and cycling the mountains and coastal paths. Also lovely safe bays for swimming and snorkling. Locals taverna's in abundance in walking distance and by car, all good value for money with a variety of local, European and Caribbean foods. A 30 minute drive from Girne and 5/10 minute drive to local supermarkets and a brilliant fruit and veg market near Esentepe. Generally, all major roads are good and easy to navigate from Karpaz in the East to Guzelyurt in the West and towards central Lefkosa. Do try Petek's bakery and resto in Gazimagusa and wander around the city walls. Everyone we met were so accommodating and helpful. Highly recommend North Cyprus for a relaxing, interesting and warm holiday. The apartment, owners and location the best!

Nature and Beauty

A wonderful stay. The apartment is really spacious and well looked after. It was spotless upon arrival. It is really thoughtfully equipped with everything you could need - feels like a home away from home. The welcome package, including wine, was gratefully received. We had the pool all to ourselves and the grounds are really well looked after, lots of flowers. The highlights? Watching the birds fly from the balcony amongst the pine forest, and the sun sets right in front of you! Incredible views. Edi and Alison dealt swiftly with any problems and we really enjoyed their booklet with recommendations of the area. Excellent value for money. Thanks for a wonderful stay. Hoping to return again soon!

Alison and Eddie gave us a generous welcome pack and lovely meal on arrival which we had pre-booked

We stayed for a month, November/December 2018 Alison and Eddie were always helpful throughout our stay The appartment is very spacious with a lovely roof terrace and beautiful views There's a washing machine and dishwasher which was very handy The complex was very quite, well kept with two lovely swimming pools which are not heated so too cold for us to use when we were there Lots of books, dvds, tourist maps and a information folder Take a laptop and hdmi cable to stream programmes as the TV only works that way I downloaded the ITVHUB+ it was one week free then £3.99 for a month Throughout Cyprus toilet paper is not allowed to be flushed and must be put in the bins provided We booked a taxi through Alison and Eddie, to collect us from and return us to Larnaca Airport, about an hours drive and also a hire car for the length of our stay We paid a visit to South Cyprus for a couple of days, we first had to get a letter of permission from the car hire company Then go to through the Nicosia Turkish border control then the Greek border control with passports, take with you all of the car details too, just after the Greek border control there is an office to show the car details to and approve them Then go to one of the insurance kiosks next door to give €25, make sure you have the euros before arriving at the border, this insures your car up to one month in the South When you return you can use any border contol, you don't have to go back via Nicosia The weather was mostly warm at 20°c although we had a few days of thunder, lightning and heavy rain Lots of places to visit, there are plenty of restaurants nearby and the nearest shop is theTempo supermarket, 5 mins away A car is needed, a good thing is they drive on the same side of the road as us They also use three pin plugs as we do Turkish Lira is used, 10 TL was £1.50 It's very cheap to eat out, for shopping and buying petrol We had such a lovely time, Northern Cyprus is beautiful, we will return 😊

Fantastic holiday!

We recently returned from a fantastic holiday! The apartment was brilliant. It was really well equipped with everything we needed and more!.. We loved having barbecues on the roof terrace and watching the sun set from the balcony and the kids loved the two pools on site! You needed a car but Alison and Eddie organised the hire for us and also the airport transfers. They also had some great suggestions for places/beaches to visit as well as good local restaurants. Alison and Eddie were really helpful with questions and requests we had as well. We all had a great time and would love to go back! Thank you Alison & Eddie!

Perfect location and nice appartment

We spent 2 weeks in Alison and Eddie's apartment. Everything was perfect and consistent with the photos on the website. Very quiet residence and close to the sea. 2 pools on site, we loved it. Great quality for the price. We would happily return if we have the opportunity

The apartment was exactly as described.

We arrived very late, but Eddie was able to provide us with a pre-ordered, delicious curry and a bottle of wine. That was a good start! The apartment is quietly located, so a car is essential for shopping and sightseeing. There is a lovely pool on site. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and made good use of the rooftop terrace for sunbathing, relaxing and BBQing. Really cannot find fault the apartment or location and I am sure we will return. Thank you Alison and Eddie.

Enjoyable relaxing 3 week stay

We have been to Kyrenia about 7 times always on the Lapta side, we decided to try Esentepe area, we looked at a number of apartments and decided on Alison and Eddies, we were not disappointed, the apartment is lovely and spacious, well kept with everything you need for your stay, the balcony was large it was shaded and breezy in a morning great for early morning cup of tea and breakfast whilst watching the birds in the hollow, especially the large blue/turquoise one (still don't know what it was). The roof top terrace was big and good for sunbathing and lovely views, although it could do with some shade.we used the pool often and we had it to ourselves,the beautiful gardens were very well kept, the site was quite, the people we met were very friendly. The apartment is close to Tempo supermarket, which sells everything you need, there are a number of good restaurant within 5-10 minuets drive, a car is essential.. The location is ideal for exploring the pan handle and Famagusta areas. Alison organised taxi from airport and car hire,it's comforting to know Alison and Eddie are downstairs if needed, the are both very friendly and helpful. We stayed for 3 weeks and had a very enjoyable relaxing holiday we hope to return one day, we would defiantly recommend Sunset Bay which lived up to its name, beautiful sunset every night.

Why they chose this property

If you are looking for a quiet time, away from it all, then this property is for you. You are surrounded by beautiful nature and stunning views. In the summer, the sun sets right over the sea in front of you. We think it is pretty unbeatable. In North Cyprus, there is very little crime, and the locals are very friendly.

What makes this property unique

Sunset Bay is a very quiet development. With two pools to choose from, it is never busy. In fact, you may even have the pool to yourself. As we are at the top of the site, we are even quieter than most. We are right on the edge of the mountains, and we can walk straight onto mountain tracks right from our doorstep and walk for miles without seeing another soul. Also, being on the edge of a ravine, we have better views than most. If you are a bird lover, then there are lots of varieties to watch swooping around. The huge roof terrace (guests have private use of this) with shaded pergola and built in BBQ is a real benefit. On a clear day you can see all the way along the coast towards Tatlisu. Really incredible views! At night, you can often see shooting stars. If you want a truly peaceful holiday, then this is the place for you.
