We are located on Channel Ridge looking toward Vancouver Island at approximately 450 ft. elevation. This makes us eye level with the eagle's nest in the front yard. Our custom home on a 5 secluded acre estate is an elegant West Coast contemporary built in 2005 that offers absolute privacy, sensational ocean vistas, and majestic forests with rambling trails for hiking, or biking on several hundred adjacent wild acres.

Clean up after your pets outside.

Take any compost to the compost pile. Just vege food waste, well chopped, and stirred in. This helps discourage critters!
If your travel plans require you to leave early, please let us know! Our cleaning crew will be most appreciative of any additional time!

We moved to Salt Spring in 2005, after living for many years in more urban environments, delighted by the quiet peace of this rural landscape, and the surrounding sea, and built this custom home, and more recently, the guest cottage.
Why they chose this property
Salt Spring Island, as if hidden behind the "veil of Avalon", feels like a long sought sanctuary after an arduous journey! Numerous organic farms, and incredible natural diversity, among nestled valleys and mountain peaks unusual among the islands, along with several accessible lakes, all surrounded by the inland waters of the Salish Sea, make the silence and the ambiance of the island more than engaging! Mountain biking and hiking trails begin right at the back door, and days of kayak adventures can be initiated only minutes from the house.
What makes this property unique
The house is a very meditative space. It sits high up on a hill overlooking the spectacular mountains of Vancouver Island, and is eye level with an active eagles nest in the front yard. Miles of hiking and biking trails begin at the back door, and the ocean is a short stroll. The gourmet kitchen is the house's equal, with quality appliances throughout, stocked with Iron Clad cookware. The propane based BBQ just outside the kitchen door will help facilitate delicious meals from abundant local farms seasonal offerings (or the farmer's markets).
