Detached Cottage With Terrace And Garden And Open Views Of Countryside

The property is available for a minimum stay of 3 nights.
The compact detached property is located approx. 2 miles within the Welsh border at the end of a gated lane. There is parking available and a garden with a stone flagged patio with glazed veranda and garden furniture. Ground floor comprises combined living / dining and kitchen with a log burning stove in the living area. There is a ground floor double bedroom and bathroom and a 1st floor twin bedroom opening directly off the stairs and en suite shower room. The cottage is adjacent to a bridleway and surrounded by mature trees and garden. It is the perfect location for exploring Wales and Shropshire with numerous places of interest an easy drive away, many affording stunning scenic walks and cycle trails. There is a secure bike store. The unfenced garden makes it unsuitable for unsupervised toddlers and dogs.

Driving up towards the cottage next to Pentre Barn was exciting because of the beautiful countryside location near to Llansilin.The cottage has been so carefully designed and with amazing thoughtfulness and skill equipped with all that you need for a comfortable and relaxing stay. It has a beautiful and practical interior.We received a warm welcome from the hosts, who were prompt in answering any questions.The whole area has a simple beauty and farming heritage that hopefully will continue for future generations.The Ceiriog Valley was a highlight of our holiday.

This cottage surpassed expectations, we found it so incredibly peaceful. The accommodation is high quality, clean and well appointed. The hosts are welcoming and accommodating, but also feel you're not imposing as the properties are nicely separated, providing the privacy and peace we love. Our dog enjoyed the garden space, as did we. We had beautiful weather to use the sun loungers and eat meals outside at the patio table. Absolutely loved our stay here.

We've just spent 5 wonderful days at this beautiful cottage in Llansillin and honestly couldn't have asked for more. The place was absolutely beautiful and so well cared for, it immediately felt like a home away from homeAndrew and Fiona were lovely and have thought of everything making our stay comfortable and relaxing. The views are simply outstanding - waking up to such stunning scenerv each dav has been a real highlight.It's the perfect place to unwind and recharge, and we would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway. We enjoyed a wonderful week cycling to the local attractions - very quiet roads and the climbs were rewarded with panoramic views. Andrew and Fiona were great hosts and have a wealth of knowledge of the surrounding area. The cottage was very well equipped.

Why they chose this property

The tranquil rural surroundings provide a peaceful place to stay with its unspoiled views of the area around Llansilin. There are many places both sides of the English / Welsh Border.to explore with easy access to the lakes around Ellesmere, and places of interest such as Oswestry, Shrewsbury, Welshpool, Chirk and Llangollen. There are also biking trails in the area such as near Llandegla where there is a visitors centre and good facilities.

What makes this property unique

This traditionally built stone cottage, built 2012, is located in a tranquil garden. The location combines access to sporting activities, like fishing, biking or walking. with a peaceful rural location The terrace has a glazed veranda and offers a pleasant place to relax . The property, located approximately 7 miles from Oswestry across the Welsh border, is 1 mile outside the village of Llansilin, up a single track gated lane. The locality is the historic home of Owyn Glyndwr. The site of his castle is nearby.
