Lovely place in Rural Portugal

Charming host and well stocked larder. Beautiful gardens. Orange trees from which to select huge bounty. Tony is lover of Blues and took our wet wash off the line in the rain. What else can we say?

Relaxing & away from it crowds.

Very unique property - well worth staying at for those wanting to take a quite break. Spectacular renovation done by owners. Found it tough with my rental vehicle gps to find however. Well worth the effort.

Delightful apartment, location and hosts

A special place far removed from the crowded cities. Dark night skies, very peaceful and quiet. Tony and Sheila were great hosts: never bothersome, but nearby if you need something and to answer questions. Their guide book and website are good introductions to the attractions throughout the area. We visited three castles, the walled city of Obidos, and, if you're a fan of Roman history like me, the ruins at Conimbraga. Some of the villas lower portions are intact including a few thousand square feet of mosaic tile flooring in situ! All together wonderful experience! Many thanks to Tony & Sheila for restoring this old farm building into a terrific vacation rental.
