About this property

Little House on the River - on main river not canal, includes kayaks,paddle-board

Welcome to the Little House on the River, our amazing crystal clear waterfront property provides the ultimate vacation getaway. If location is important to you, then this is the place to be. This 2 story, 2 bedroom, 1-1/2 bath home (sleeps 6) sits directly on the beautiful Weeki Wachee River(not canal) and is within walking distance to the local beach(Rogers Park),restaurant (Upperdeck)and marina. Just a few minutes from the house is Pine Island, another popular local beach, also hiking trails and many restaurants to choose from in 1 to 5 miles from the house.

This property offers guests a wide range of entertainment; from bringing your own boat and launching it at Rogers Park boat ramp,1 block from property, or using the paddle board, canoe or kayaks(that I provide)to explore upstream to Hospital Hole and beyond to the springs, or downstream to the Gulf of Mexico.
If the river life is what you're seeking to experience, look no further, take a seat, relax and let the river wash away your cares. Enjoy watching the kayakers paddle by and looking for manatees swimming below them. The manatees truly are gentle giants and seeing them up close and personal is an experience you'll never forget.
A little piece of paradise, without ever leaving the property.
I highly recommend getting cancellation insurance when booking as we do not do refunds unless it is a mandatory evacuation.

My love for the water has expanded my opportunity to offer this beautiful area to others. Once I had purchased this property I felt as if I had to share this magical place with others.

Why they chose this property

This property is one of the most ideal and sought out areas along the Weeki Wachee River. The river is crystal clear with a sandy bottom, kayaks and canoes for entertainment, plus the attraction of kayakers, canoers, and paddle boarders can be quite the entertainment in its own. This property is located on a deadend street and in the middle of everything, to the left is Hospital Hole and 5.5 miles to the head of the river with plenty of places to get out and picnic or swim along the way or to the right only 3.5 miles to the Gulf of Mexico. Right up the road within walking distance is a restaurant The Upper Deck, which offers a wonderful way to have lunch overlooking the river, The natural elements from across the property of the ospreys, ducks, turtles, owls, and of course the manatees all add that excitement of animals in their natural surroundings.

What makes this property unique

Along with the stunning water and perfect location, it offers a fire pit for late night romance or family fun with s'mores. It's always a nice relaxing moment to stroll to the dock and sit back in the swing with a cup of coffee and just watch the water flow, nature, or just the entertainment of the people and the river. The entire floor to ceiling glass living room offers a 180 degree view of the river (just 30 feet away)and also from the second story bedroom as well. A luxurious site to wake up to, pull back the curtains and see the beauty of it all.
