Barn Cottage
Comfortable, clean and well equipped cottage in a peaceful country location. The hosts were very friendly and on hand if the need arose. The cottage is ideally placed for exploring the New Forest and surrounding area.

Disliked: Location
Pleasant cottage - bad weather!
Directions to property using sat nav were good . Found easily. Owner met us on arrival and provided the key. Very disappointed that there was no welcome pack as provided in our last properties we hzve visited in the New Forest . Some loose T Bags, sugar and a few coffee pods provided. Would however have liked and expected more . Perhaps milk, bread or cake and perhaps even a bottle of wine ! ( As have experienced many times before) The Location more remote than thought and really on the wrong side of the main road for immediate access to the Forest. Not walkable. The property itself was clean and nicely furnished though pillows very flimsy and uncomfortable. The log burner was a bonus on one chilly evening! Wet room was ok but the shower was very unpredictable with both temp and pressure sometimes difficult to achieve easily. No fault of the owner - we had bad weather for much of our stay. A sports and social club is quite close and we did have some noise which though not too intrusive we would have preferred not to hear . In summary, pleasant accommodation but for us, a few issues. There are many more properties to choose from in the New Forest.

Barn residence
It was very well stocked in all areas and was so peaceful and comfortable. The scenery and location was stunning. We had 2 meals at Churchill Arms which were delicious. We visited the heavy horses which was near by and on our last day went to Monkey World too.

Excellent place from which to explore the area
We had a lovely holiday. The cottage was ideal for our party, in a peaceful area ideally situated for exploring the New Forest and the coastline. The cottage was very clean and well equipped - they’d thought of everything. The grounds were very well tended. The hosts were very friendly and helpful and obviously work hard keeping the site in tip top condition - it’s a credit to them. We hope to return and would highly recommend.
