Nestled in the heart of Cashiers, this stunning 5-bedroom vacation home offers a serene and rejuvenating escape. As you step inside, you'll be greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere, complete with a cozy, remote-controlled fireplace and a smart TV with satellite/cable channels, perfect for unwinding after a day of adventure.

The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you'll need for up to 12 people including all sizes of pots and pans, casserole dishes, blender, cookie sheets, toaster, Keurig & Mr. Coffee, Keebar Electric Kettle, knives, utensils, and more.

Grill out on the new, oversized grill or dine at one of the local restaurants. The choice is yours with the town of Cashiers only 8 minutes from home and the neighboring town of Highlands only 20 minutes west.

Enjoy relaxing on the wrap-around deck while listening to the tranquil sounds of the stream below. The Bearfoot Cottage sits on 1 acre of flat land - rare to find in the mountains! This allows for fun lawn sports - croquet, bocce ball, badminton or tossing a football. Complete your day enjoying the beautiful sunset on the deck.

This large but cozy mountain home has a Master bedroom on the main level with a king size bed, TV and master bath. The main level also has a large, Hi-Def TV with a full Direct TV package and wi-fi internet.

The upper level has a queen bed and full bath, with French doors and private deck overlooking the backyard and Norton Creek in the back.

The Basement has three bedrooms, three full bathrooms, along with a coffee bar, full bathroom and sleeper sofa in the sitting area:
1. The main bedroom has a King bed and a TV.
2. The second bedroom has two twin beds with private bathroom.
3. The third bedroom has a double-over-queen bunk bed with private bathroom.
4. The Game Room is a separate indoor/outdoor room with dart board, ping pong, foosball and puzzles.

In summary, there are five bedrooms, one Game Room, and one sleeper sofa that sleep a total of twelve people, along with five bathrooms.

For each bed and bathroom we provide linens, washcloths, towels, a small shampoo bottle and soap, and toilet paper.

Enjoy the many surrounding hiking trails, golf courses or boating/kayaking on Lake Glenville.

Oh, and we're dog friendly so just let us know if Lassie is coming!

Streamside Family Home

We enjoyed our time at Bearfoot cabin. The hosts were very responsive and easy to reach with any questions we had. The property is beautiful with a stream and a large lawn for kids and dogs to play on. The family room/kitchen area is spacious and comfortable. The location is great for hikes and convenient for popping into either Cashiers or Highlands.

What an awesome cabin !! We chose this cabin for many reasons and it was well worth it. Loved the outdoor space, being right on the creek, activity room, very comfortable beds, fire pit, fireplace, extra large family room, and dining table to accommodate everyone. The cabin's kitchen was well stocked as well as starter items for all five bathrooms. We didn't bring our dogs, but wonderful area for pets. Grocery is only 15 min away. Andy was super helpful and responded quickly to messages before we arrived, while staying at the cabin, and after we headed home. Property manager responded fast when needed. This may seem odd, but it was great that they have a "garbage company" pick up the garbage once a week. We would definitely book this cabin again !! Book it, you won't be disappointed.

Mountain Retreat

Our family loved staying at this cabin. The owners were easy to work with and very responsive if an issue arose. There was plenty of room for all of us to spread out and not be in each other’s way. Our dog loved taking a dip in the stream behind the house! We spent most nights relaxing around the fire pit and enjoying the fireflies. We can’t wait to go back next summer!

Bearfoot Retreat… what a treat!

Wonderful property for family and pets. Stream, elongated yard with stone fire pit, and wrap around deck perfect for enjoying the outdoors. Inside is very cozy with fireplace, comfortable beds and pillows, and each bedroom with access to its own bathroom. We enjoyed the ping pong table and darts as well. Well stocked kitchen. Easy communication as well. Perfect spot to visit Cashiers, Highlands, and for us a few colleges near by for a future college student. Recommend hiking Whiteside Mountain and going to waterfalls like Silver Run, Whiteside, and Dry falls. You won’t regret your stay here.

A walk down memory lane

Cashiers was my wife's family vacation home for over 40 years. The family home has long since been sold. We took our daughters and their families to cashiers to give them a touch of their family history tied to Cashiers. The Hinson home provided us with a great place stay. A well supplied kitchen, plenty of space to meet our needs and a setting that gave us a memorable mountain expierence. We will use this place again if our travels take us back to Cashiers again.

Family Time

My son and his wife live in E. NC and my daughter’s family an d my husband and I live in S. Ga. We plan a trip every summer so that all of us can be together. This was the perfect house for 8 people, 6 adults and 2 children. Pictures on the VRBO site do not do it justice… it is way better than the pictures. And who needs a pool when you have a cool mountain creek! Lots of laughs, fun and memories were made! Thank you for sharing your cabin!

Bearfoot Retreat

Comfy, cozy, casual, updated. Owners are making improvements to the exterior so some construction material in driveway. Most driveways in that area are difficult anyway. The small fenced yard was much appreciated by our little dogs. Be aware that internet can be sketchy. Overall, a good location between Cashiers and HIghland.

Great location

This property is well situated, close to cashiers and highlands with a nice back yard and lovely creek. The beds are comfortable but the layout of the 3 bottom bedrooms is conducive only to one family or all children as there is little privacy. The driveway is tricky for more than 2 cars but we managed by turning a car around each time we came back. Loved the deer that came to eat the green apples off the tree and we even saw a bear! The individual air conditioners were a huge plus abs communication was excellent. If you want a real cabin experience (with a remote control fire place), this is a good one!

Great mountain retreat

This was a little piece of heaven in the mountains. Very quiet and serene. Our extended family of 7 had plenty of room and then some! Great layout with adults upstairs and kids on the basement level. Nice stream with firepit that we enjoyed every morning and night. Be prepared for no phone service to make calls if you have at&t but there is a house phone. Quick access to town and grocery store and 15 minutes from Highlands. Owners were very helpful with a few hiccups we had and were very helpful before and during our stay. It was a wonderful week!

Just book it!

I can’t say enough about this property and its owners. The cabin is gorgeous! And honestly the first cabin that we have stayed in that allows animals that didn’t smell like dogs and have hair everywhere! It was super clean, smelled wonderful! We had Thanksgiving there and I had everything I needed to cook a wonderful dinner. Every bedroom has a bathroom, which is a huge plus! And with all the showers happening, no one was left with cold water. The property itself is gorgeous and meticulously maintained. You can truly see the love and care the owners have taken to make this cabin heavenly. The communication with the owners was better than any other VRBO that I have experienced. Incredibly accommodating, and quick to get back to you. I could go on and on, but just book it! You will have an amazing vacation!

Lovely creek side cabin

Lovely Rustic cabin with all the essentials. We stayed for 5 nights over the Christmas holiday and the owners were kind enough to put up a tree and other decorations throughout the cabin! You can tell they take very good care of their place and it was extremely clean. There were lots of outdoor games we could play and a creekside fire pit. There were 8 of us total, 6 adults, 2 kids and 2 dogs and we all slept comfortably. There is a bedroom with bath upstairs, the master on the main with bath, and three adjoining bedrooms on the bottom level that share a bath. Each bedroom has its own heat/ac unit which made sleeping comfortable for everyone. There is also a fenced in yard and doggie bags are provided! There are so many amazing waterfall hikes in this area , rainbow falls being our favorite. We would highly recommend this cabin to anyone looking to be in the Cashiers/Highlands area!

A Wonderful Cozy Cabin and Retreat

We stayed here for two weeks. Had two families one week and never felt crowded for the 10 of us. The six kids stayed downstairs. The property is very comfortable and the stream and fire pit in back are wonderful. A large family room to hang out, big deck, and comfortable bedrooms each with own air. They even had a desk I used for work some days and most days the internet sufficed for video conferences. It was well priced for the cabin comfort and feel. Felt like a cozy home. It’s not a luxury property, nor was it marketed that way and we did not expect it. Was very comfortable and the dogs had a fantastic time. A small complaint noted by others is the driveway. It’s on a road where oncoming traffic is so sometimes tricky to get out but not a huge issue. We would definitely stay again.

Filled with Light

We loved all the windows and the spaciousness of this place. The property is located on a steep hillside that goes to creek. This makes getting to the seating area by the creek somewhat challenging as the stone pathway has some loose rocks and there is no handrail. Driveway and parking is somewhat challenging for more than 2 cars and it is essential to turn around in the driveway rather than backing out. I was on the main level and the bed was quite comfortable. This bedroom has an adjacent handicapped bathroom but the height of the bed makes it difficult for short or handicapped to use. I was told the bed in the upper bathroom was not comfortable. Also the listing should note that it is necessary to go through the downstairs bedroom to get to thee other two bedrooms. However it is a very pleasant home and we enjoyed the decks and the roominess and light in the kitchen and living room area. We enjoyed our stay.

Wonderful

Floor plan allowed two families to be together and yet have private space as well. We loved being on Norton Creek. The house is well stocked and very clean. Hosts are wonderful. Highly recommended

Great location, house had all that was expected and more. Creek was nice at night, good location for hiking and surrounding towns. Had our dog with us, fenced area was nice to have.
