We had a wonderful time staying in Claudia’s beautiful home. There were seven of us and the house catered for us easily. It is in a fabulous wee village and close to Lucca. We had a lovely time exploring parts of Tuscany and then arriving home for a few drinks around the pool. There is a delicious restaurant called Tre Tigli just up the hill in the next village - about 5 mins drive - very worth while visiting. Absolutely loved the place - would definitely recommend staying there.

Our stay

We had a lovely stay at Villa Petra! The pool and olive tree garden was beautiful and perfect to relax in on the hot summer days. We had plenty of space inside the house, but would like to mention that the upper floors were rather warm in the evenings. We recommend any future visitors to close all windows during the day and open up to air out the space as soon as the sun goes down. Overall, great stay and beautiful area!

Beautiful house in the Tuscany

We stayed at the house with a group of friends (8 people) and had a great time! :-) The villa is an old but beautiful house with a lot of space, a nice olive garden and a pool. Everything looks just like in the pictures. The pool was small, but clean and it was nice to just jump in and cool up. We absolutely loved the house and the area! We also appreciated the location of the house: you definitely need a car to go places or to do the shopping. But it's very close to Lucca (about 15 minutes), which is a beautiful town. We also visited Pisa and Florence (longer drive, about 1 hour 15 min). And the beach was about a 30 min drive. We were really surprised that we found a nice little beach spot that was never too crowded. Claudia and Michele were great hosts as well. Michele made sure that everything was fine with the pool (which was well taken care of). They helped us out when we had questions and had some nice advice for restaurants in the area. Thanks a lot for our stay! :-)

Traditional Tuscan House

Beautiful, traditional Tuscan house. Better in real life than this photographs. Claudia is lovely to deal with and quick to reply to any queries. The 4th bedroom that isn't pictured is on the first floor and furnished with a double bed and is the nicest bedroom in the house. You have to walk through the twin room to get to the upstairs double bedroom with ensuite. Mosquito nets on all of the windows was an added bonus. Kitchen has everything you'll need. The olive garden is very natural with lots of wildflowers and is a haven for bees, butterflies, dragonflies and, at night, fire flies. The pool is 4ft deep and a great size for cooling off after a bit of sunbathing or sightseeing. It now has a paved surround and there are 7 sturdy sun lougers. The outdoor eating area has plenty of space with several tables to choose from and lots of chairs and benches. There is a built in BBQ. The local restaurant La Conca, is only a 10 minute walk down the hill and serves traditional Italian food. Great pasta, pizza and local wine. Very well priced too. Conrad supermarket is a short drive or a 20 minute cycle ride away and is very well stocked. A great base for cycling over the Tuscan mountains. Lucca is a very short drive away. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Wir hatten einen tollen Familienurlaub mit 8 Personen und einem Hund in einer sehr charmanten, typisch toskanischen Umgebung mit herzlichen und aufmerksamen Gastgebern! Die Lage war ausgesprochen gut für Ausflüge an‘s Meer, nach Lucca, Pisa und Florenz.Das Haus ist mit viel Aufwand renoviert, die Anlage und der Pool sind sehr gepflegt und die Küche ist zur Versorgung mit 8 Personen sehr gut ausgestattet. Die Schlafräume sind sehr großzügig und mit sehr guten Betten versehen. Ein komplettes Wohlfühlgefühl! Auch unsere Hündin Polly hatte eine entspannte Zeit. Ganz herzlichen Dank an dieser Stelle auch nochmals an die Gastgeber!

Maison à proximité des lieux culturels toscans. Maison agréable confortable calme et typique dans le style toscan. Literie à améliorer et moustiques à éradiquer ( surtout pour profiter de la piscine). Ménage pas top.
